In this episode of Victorious Faith, Cherri Campbell dives deep into the concept of faith, starting with her insightful sermon, ‘What Are You Seeing? What Are You Saying?’ delivered at a recent service. She dissects the subject of faith, emphasizing its necessity in everyday life to maintain spiritual strength, much like how physical food sustains our bodies. Campbell elaborates on how familiarity and routine can lead to complacency, urging believers to intentionally and diligently practice their faith, keeping it vibrant and effective. The exploration continues with a reflection on the nature of faith itself. Campbell discusses how faith translates

SPEAKER 02 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This morning I’m going to begin sharing with you another message that I preached in one of our Victorious Faith services called, What Are You Seeing? What Are You Saying? So join me now in our live service for the beginning of this message, What Are You Seeing? What Are You Saying? Tonight we are going to talk about, as we have announced on the program, faith that overcomes. Faith that overcomes. And faith is something that we need to keep hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing because when you’ve used your faith, it’s used. It’s been used and you need to restock. And just daily life uses faith. Because faith is like the physical strength you have in your body. It’s a spiritual power. Faith is a spiritual power. And you have to eat pretty regularly for your body to maintain strength. And if you go a day without eating, you will feel your body getting a little bit weaker. If you go two days or three days or four or five or six, you will feel your body getting weaker and weaker and weaker. And that’s the same way it is spiritually. You need the word of God to build your faith every single day. In the same way you feed your body, you need to feed your spirit. And actually I’m jumping ahead on the word of God part, but you go to the word to build your faith. You’ve got to hear it coming in every day because you are constantly using faith just to get up. It takes faith. And so we need to continually be replenishing our faith. And the thing is that when we have heard, and some of us have heard faith quite a bit, and myself, it’s one of my favorite subjects, and I love to preach it, but we have to remember that just because we know it doesn’t mean that we’re actually doing it. or that we’re actually properly using it. Sometimes we, having had so much experience or familiarity, we begin coasting, assuming, well, yeah, I know all that. But faith is something that you’ve got to take up and do diligently. It’s not something that’s just automatic. I mean, you have to realize that life is a river. And if you’re not purposely swimming upstream and you’re just coasting, you’re going to be going downstream and you’re going to be losing ground if you’re not actually purposely, intently using your faith. And so that’s why I love to keep going back to faith teachings in order to keep my faith built up. So in Mark 11, before we read Mark 11, I’m going to start from the very beginning. What is faith? What is faith? First of all, faith is belief. Believing faith is confidence. Faith is persuasion. Faith is conviction. Now you can be more or less persuaded. And we’re going to talk about fully persuaded. You can be kind of persuaded, but we need to be fully persuaded. Amen? Amen. And so the faith that we’re supposed to walk in is faith that is fully persuaded. fully persuaded that what God said is true and that God said it, that settles it. And I’m not thinking or considering anything else. And that’s part of faith, not considering anything else. I like an example. Somebody said, you know, today with computers, you can turn on the computer and Google. And in Google, you’ll have thousands of listings that come up when you put in something. And we have a world now of many choices. There are people through trying to use natural wisdom, They’re saying, well, there’s lots of things to consider here. No, there’s not. There’s only one. What did God say? And people say, well, I have to consider my children. I have to consider my job. I have to consider my finances. There’s only one thing to consider. What did God say? And people can get off track by thinking I have to consider five, ten different things. One, see, God is simple. Just one way, one answer, one solution, one thing to think on. And we have to find that one thing that God has said to us. Amen. There’s not many. The many brings confusion. When there’s many, well, I could do this. I could do this. I could do this. I could do this. There comes confusion. focus in on what was the one thing God said. What did God say? And sometimes when you’ve started out following God, for example, in ministry or in business, And you’ve heard God and you start going down the road and you’re going along doing things. But as you go, you start picking up other things on your agenda. And you have to stop and step back a minute. Like, wait a minute. I have to focus in on the one thing that God assigned me to. Because other things can then begin to crowd out the one thing that you’re really supposed to be doing. Other things, life is, it’s so easy for life to get busy. So easy for life to get busy. And other things, family, and of course we have to all take time with family. I’m not saying that, but work and options and this and that. I mean, myriads of things that can come in and start distracting you. You have to stop and get quiet. And just get quiet with God and say, God, bring me back to the one thing that is the focus of my life. What one thing that I’m supposed to be doing right now? Hallelujah. Life gets so complicated. You know, we hear about 150 years ago and 200 years ago, and they just had a simple farm and went out and plowed and came in and ate dinner and went to bed. You know, life was simple. And and today there are so many things and life gets complicated, but it doesn’t have to be. It doesn’t have to be. And it shouldn’t be. I like simplicity. I like simplicity. And I think simple. And God has to talk to me simple. Amen. And that’s why I talk simple too. And that’s why out in the Pacific islands, they like it. They said, Jerry, a five-year-old can understand you. I was like, good. Cause that’s the way I think. Just keep it simple, but keep focused on that one thing that God has for you. Keep it the center of your life. There can be other things, but don’t let other things crowd out and start to drown out the one thing that God has called you to do. Amen. Amen. So let’s look here in Mark 11 and verse 22. Verse 22, have faith in God. Jesus answered. Now, how many of you have heard me preach on this verse before? Anybody? Yeah. And do you remember what we said? 22 actually reads this. Let me show you this. I have a margin. If you can see that, this is verse 22. Have faith in God. And there’s a little O there for the margin note. O is right there. Literally, L-I-T, literally what? Faith of God. Faith of God. Of. Of. Not in, but of. And that’s important. And I make a big deal about those two letters. That one little two letter word. It’s a big deal because faith in God. Who is Jesus talking to? He’s talking to Jews. Jews believe in God. And they are trained from babyhood to believe in God. So why would he have to tell the Jews who believe in God already to have faith in God? They’re taught that as soon as they can start understanding Goo Goo Gaga. I mean, they are taught. So that was an unnecessary statement to say in God. They had faith in God. But there is a big difference and a great significance to the phrase of God. The faith of God. Another way to say that is God’s faith or God’s kind of faith. God’s kind of faith. God’s kind of faith. So therefore, what we need to see, I want to focus on this. There are two kinds of faith. Two kinds of faith. There’s the God kind of faith and there is natural or human faith. Now remember, faith is believing. Simply, it’s believing. But there’s two kinds of believing. There’s two kinds of faith. The God kind of faith and then there’s human or natural faith. And, you know, it’s very interesting and I’m touching on a touchy subject here. Because when you talk to people in circles and churches who have heard teaching on faith. that it’s almost an insult if you would even think that maybe or even hint that maybe they’re not using the right kind of faith. And we shouldn’t be offended because we’re all growing. Amen? We’re all growing. But the thing is that a lot of people forget it’s like that river. You can easily, just without thinking, with doing nothing, start coasting. And then you start going in the down river flow and the coasting is natural faith. So you can get out of the God kind and step into the natural kind without even trying by doing nothing at all. And then you start operating by the natural kind of faith and you assume that you have faith, but you, well, you do, but it’s the wrong kind, right? And so I want to ask you tonight, what kind of faith do you have? Are you operating in the natural kind or the God kind? And now let me explain what the difference is. The difference is, is that the natural faith is faith that’s common to every human being, saved or unsaved. An atheist has the same. Because it’s believing. See, remember, get back to the word faith is believing. Believing is faith. Natural faith is believing what you see with your eyes. Natural faith is believing what you see with your eyes. Yeah, I see that. I believe that there’s a door there. I can see it. I believe there’s a chair here. I can see it. Everybody has that. The worldly phrase is seeing is believing. Seeing is believing. Or it’s believing what you feel. In other words, it’s based on evidence that you can see and feel. There’s got to be proof. There’s got to be evidence that is tangible, that can be seen or felt. And so when you talk about being healed and believing you’re healed, then it’s when you feel healed and you go to the doctor and the doctor gives you a good report that you’re healed that Then you say, yeah, I’m healed because it’s believing physical evidence and proof. But the God kind of faith believes what you cannot see or touch or feel. What you just heard was the beginning of a message that I preached in one of our victorious faith services called, What are you saying? What are you saying? And we will continue this message again tomorrow. So join me again tomorrow. And remember, God loves you. You are blessed and highly favored by the Lord.
