SPEAKER 01 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This morning I’m going to continue sharing with you a message I preached in one of our Victorious Faith services called The Baptism in the Holy Spirit and the Benefits of Speaking in Tongues. And as I’ve said before, I do have a book written on this subject. It is a powerful book that goes into even more detail answering the questions and the arguments that I’ve heard about the baptism in the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. It is a powerful tool that will help you and your friends and loved ones to answer the questions that you have. And it goes into more detail with more benefits. of speaking in tongues. It is a powerful tool and resource. I encourage you to get one for yourself and for your friends and family and those that you would encourage to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit. You can get one by going to my website at victoriousfaith.co, victorious, like a champion, V-I-C-T-O-R-I-O-U-S, faith, F-A-I-T-H, dot C-O, seal like Colorado, and go to the tab called Cherri’s Books. And there you will see all the books that I have written. Now join me in our live service for the continuation of our message, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and the benefits of speaking in tongues. There’s a lot of wrong praying, but you can pray right and pray perfect every time when you pray in tongues. Hallelujah. You’ll have the most pure, unselfish prayer. When you pray in tongues, you’ll have the most humble prayer, unselfish prayer, loving prayer. Powerful and anointed prayer, wise prayer, knowledgeable prayer. When you get out of your head and pray in tongues, it is the most powerful prayer. Praise the Lord. And this leads to reason number eight, praying in tongues enables us to pray for the unknown. There are so many things we don’t know. I mean, every problem and issue you have to deal with is you’re wondering what to do about it. And God has the answer. And when it comes to the future, what decisions should you make? How should you do this? Where should you live? What job should you take? Plans for the next year or five years or whatever. You don’t know the future. But God does. Let me say this. When you pray in tongues, yes, you can pray at your will alone. At your choice, at your decision, you can pray in tongues. Now, I heard a preacher say this. I’m not going to take credit for this. But somebody said to him, well, you can’t just turn the Holy Spirit on and off. And he said the answer of the Holy Spirit came to him. The Holy Spirit is always on. God is always on. You’re not turning God on and off. God is always on. You’re turning you on and off. You’re turning your mouth on and off. It’s like a radio. You can’t have your radio switched off and you don’t hear Cherri on KLTT at 6 a.m. and say, Cherri, why didn’t you broadcast any programs today? But your radio is off. No, the radio station is broadcasting signals all the time. They’re going. The signals are going out there. You turn your radio on and off when you want to hear and when you don’t want to hear. God is on all the time. He is connected to you. He’s ready to speak to you, speak through you. You turn you on and off. Amen. You start and you stop when you choose. That’s why I can stand right here and go, and I can start speaking in English again. I can go from English to tongues, tongues to English, because I turn me on and off. I connect. I choose. Just like you can choose to speak. I chose to switch to Pompeian. And glory adios. You recognize that one? Spanish. Glory adios. You can switch from English to Spanish. And if you know some French or some Indian, you can, by your will, speak a different language. Right? I mean, if you’re bilingual… There’s a lot of Hispanics who are both speaking Spanish and English. You’re bilingual. Do you choose when to speak English and when to speak Spanish? Of course you choose. You decide, I’m going to speak English or I’m going to speak Spanish. It’s the same thing with speaking tongues or speak English. It’s what language do you feel like speaking in? Glory, adios, hallelujah, praise the Lord. Now I’ve just spoken four languages right there. You see that? You just choose which language you’re going to speak. You choose. You’re in control of your tongue. Hallelujah. Amen. Praise the Lord. And you’re using your faith to do it. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Thank you, Jesus. Glory adios. So the speaking in tongues is at your will. God is always on. He’s there to give you the words whenever you yield to tongues. He can also help you speak in English and give you. That’s where prophecy comes in. Prophecy is inspired words from the Holy Spirit in your known language. The Holy Spirit gives you the words, but it’s in your language. That’s prophecy. Tongues is the Holy Spirit gives you the words in a language you don’t know. And so, but the Holy Spirit is always there. He’s always on. It’s like the radio signal is always broadcasting and you turn on and off your radio. You connect and disconnect. You switch language, English, tongue, Spanish, French, as you choose. Hallelujah. And so that’s reason number eight, praying in tongues helps us to pray for the unknown and we need, Oh, this is what I was going to say where I was going with that is that you can also choose the purpose for your tongues because God will speak through you even at your request and About things that you want prayed about. So you can say, Lord, right now I just praise you. And I know I’m praising God in tongues because I just started with praise. And my heart was already lifted up praising the Lord. And so there I’m focusing my tongue on praise. Oh, glory to God. Hallelujah. You’re so beautiful, Lord. And I know I’m praising God because my heart is rising up in praise. But then I can say, now, Lord, I need to pray about this situation, this job situation. Now, Lord, help me to pray to know what to do in the job. Now, I focused my prayer to the job. God will pray through you about the job when you say you want to pray about the job. And then, God, I need to pray for my son. My son is going through this situation. Right now, Lord, I lift up my son. And I don’t know what he needs to know. But you know, Lord. And God will pray through you about your son. You can choose the topic in your times of prayer. And you can go from, I mean, this is the way a prayer time is. Whether you’re by yourself or a group prayer. You go through a list of topics and prayer points. And you can start by praying out what you know. Lord, I pray for my son. I pray that he hears the voice of the Holy Spirit. Remember, we talked a little bit about this, is that you pray the word. Pray the word, help them to hear the spirit, help them to know your word, help them to be led by the spirit. And then that’s about all I know what to say. And then I go, and okay, I pray over my son for a period of time until you feel the release. You feel like you’re done and you feel satisfied inside. And then, okay, now, Lord, we need to pray over this other thing. Lord, we need to look at the finances right now. And then you start praying in tongues over that. And then, Lord, we need to pray about this other topic. We need to pray at this other time. You can pray what you know in line with the word. And when you run out of what you know, go into tongues. Go into tongues to pray what you don’t know and the wisdom of God and the answers of God and the direction of God and the future. And then you need to spend time. Lord, I pray over my future. I don’t know what’s going to happen this year. I don’t know what’s going to happen next year, 10 years from now. But Lord, I pray that you go before me. And even the word in the Bible says that the angels go before us and clear the path. And Lord, I pray that you set up my future for me. Get me in the right place at the right time and then switch over to tongues. And you can then switch over to tongues and you’re praying about your future. You’re praying about the next 10 years and you don’t know what’s going to happen. I mean, we might not be here. We don’t know who’s going to be the president. We don’t know what the economy is going to be like. We don’t know what other epidemics or catastrophes might happen in the earth. And God can spare us and deliver us. So you pray out your future. So just like as you would in English in a prayer time, you have prayer points praying for this family member and that family member and this situation and that situation. You then direct your tongues over each of those situations. Hallelujah. So you can choose. My bottom line is you can choose the point that you want to pray about. Say, Lord, I’m going to pray right now about this. And then you go into tongues. God is going to answer that prayer. I’m going to pray through you in tongues about that point that you said. Hallelujah. Amen. Well, you can pray in tongues when you read the Bible. Yes. And you can pray in tongues before you read and say, Lord, I ask you for wisdom and revelation while I read the Bible and spend a few minutes in tongues before you read the Bible. And that can help you get your spirit sensitive to the Holy Spirit. Get your spiritual ears, not the outside ears, but the inner spiritual ears listening to the spirit. So, yes. Even if you want to, it is good to pray in tongues before you read the Bible. And then your spirit gets sensitive to the Holy Spirit. Your spiritual ears get in tune with the Holy Spirit so that when you read, then the Holy Spirit can begin giving you the revelation of his word. That’s powerful. That’s right. So speaking in tongues before you read the Bible can help you get more understanding of the Bible. When you read, it can give you revelation. Now, We are talking about praying for the unknown. 1 Corinthians 2, 7. No, we speak of God’s secret wisdom and that there is mysteries, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. Verse 9. However, as it is written, no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him. But God has revealed it to us by his spirit. The spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. This is what we speak, not in words. taught by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. So what are we praying? We’re praying what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived. You’re praying for things not known. You’re praying for things not known.
