SPEAKER 05 :
On this encore show, Darren and I begin the program with the scripture from Isaiah 24, 23. For the Lord of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and his glory will cover the earth. The whole earth is full of his glory. Praise God. He told these exact words to Moses when the people were in rebellion. I have pardoned them according to your words, Moses. And indeed, as I live, all the earth will be filled with the glory of the Lord. You kind of get the hint that the glory of the Lord will fill this earth no matter what man tries to do with it. As a believer, you are to maintain God’s creation and to keep it in his care. It’s so important that you know that God hears and answers your prayers. And when you agree in Jesus name, that authority, his name carries the answer that you are waiting for. Now, let’s join the program.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, here we are at 670 a.m. on the radio dial. Now, when you’re telling somebody else about the show, you need to tell them exactly where we are on the dial. We’re downhill there from KOA Radio. Most people know where KOA is. But we’re at 670 a.m. here on this 50,000-watt station. And I need to tell you, we’re delighted. The signal goes about 150 miles west, about 200 miles north and south, and about 400 miles east.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s bigger than the state of Israel.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yes, it is. It sure is.
SPEAKER 05 :
It is, absolutely.
SPEAKER 02 :
So we have the largest AM signal here in Denver, several thousand miles larger than KLA. I didn’t know that when they first came on the station, but we just praise God for this. They’re calling this a huge station. Mighty, the mighty 670. Yes, the mighty 670. Yes, but these people here at Crawford Broadcasting are a delight to work with and very, very professional Christian people and great business people, so we salute them today. And we just thank them for the opportunity of being on their station. Here’s our number if you’d like to call us, air code 303-433-8000. If you have something you’d like to talk about, you need prayer or you want to give a praise report, we’d love to have praise reports because God is so good.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yes, like Linda gave yesterday about her brother. Was it her brother that we had prayed for?
SPEAKER 02 :
Yes. Yes. He was clear back east. Yes.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yes. So praise God.
SPEAKER 02 :
There’s no distance in the spirit, folks. So if we’re praying for somebody in another state or halfway around the world, that is no big deal for God. I’ll tell you, he’s there as well as being here. And it’s not a long distance phone call either. We can get some results through prayer.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s right. And we may see the evil getting more evil and the wicked getting more evil. But remember, Isaiah 24, 23, the Lord of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem and his glory will be before his elders forever. And I really believe that one of these days we’re going to see the knowledge of the glory of God covering all the earth, as it also is quoted in Isaiah. And even though you may think, wow, it’s getting worse and worse. Yes, maybe it is getting worse and worse, but God is going to reign. God is. still on the throne. He is in charge. Believe it or not, God is still in charge. And He is in charge of you if your heart is given over to Him. And He wants to bless you and give you everything He’s promised.
SPEAKER 02 :
You know, I believe it’s hotter on the outside perimeter. You know, it’s getting wild and crazy. But if you stay real close to Jesus and you turn and look to Jesus and don’t have your focus primarily on the world, you’ll be so much better off because he is there to save you. And when you learn the concept that when you pray, he hears your prayer. And when you have that knowing in your heart that Jesus Christ has heard your prayer, I’ll tell you, it will change your life. So I prayed Tuesday night, Barb, that the people there would receive a revelation that when they prayed, God heard their prayer. And I want to pray that for our listeners today. Yes, praise the Lord. Because a lot of people say, you know, in fact, I mean, on the street, in reality, they say, I don’t know if he heard my prayer. I don’t know if he’s listening. Well, he’s listening, and when you pray in his name, he always hears you. So let’s go for it. Would you agree with me? Yes. Father God, we just pray on behalf of our friends and our listeners and those maybe first-time listeners. Lord, that don’t have a secure knowing that when they pray in the name of Jesus that you actually hear them. Father God, in a conversation, it’s so important when we’re talking to another person that they’re listening to us and that’s a recorded message and they’re giving some attention to it. Well, it’s even more important that we know on our end of the line that when we pray, when we call, that you receive our call immediately, that you do hear us. And that you take that in, that request or that praise or that conversation. But Lord, the problem is on our side. We just need to know that you do hear us. And I’m asking right now that you give us a revelation that you do hear when we pray and when we cry out to you. So I want to thank you for that. And now today, by faith. And I think we ought to just go ahead and complete the process, Barbara, here. And this is how we receive. And we say it with our mouth and believe it with our heart. In fact, you can say this exact thing with me. And will you follow me through this, Barbara? Say, as an act of my will, I declare that I prayed and asked for this revelation.
SPEAKER 05 :
for this revelation, that I might hear the voice of God, that I might know that He has heard me, when I pray in Jesus’ name, when I cry out in Jesus’ name, or when I praise Him in Jesus’ name.
SPEAKER 02 :
And now I receive that revelation by faith.
SPEAKER 05 :
I declare that I have it.
SPEAKER 02 :
And I will know when Jesus hears me.
SPEAKER 05 :
I will know that he does hear me when I pray.
SPEAKER 02 :
That will be a great boost to my faith. Thank you, Jesus.
SPEAKER 05 :
I think it’s important, too, instead of talking about he all the time, to talk about you, Jesus. And I think that’s one corner that we turn as praisers and worshipers. We begin to talk to him as if he were just sitting here. And I think that’s so important for you at home. Don’t talk about him all the time. Talk to him. Say, Father God, I do want righteousness in my life. I do want peace in my life. And I know that you’re going to bring that about because you are righteous and you are peace. And that’s so important to talk to him. Talk to him. Don’t talk about him, but talk to him. Hallelujah.
SPEAKER 02 :
You know, we’re encouraging you to develop and acquire and receive and practice a daily relationship, a very personal, intimate relationship with Jesus. And that will change your view of the word, your view of yourself. And when we get to know the absolute and we’re a copy of the absolute, we’re made in his image and likeness. So to really understand man, we need to have a greater understanding who God is, because he said, I have made you my image and likeness. And you can read that in Genesis. Take all of Genesis one and two and three. The first three chapters in Genesis will give you an awesome bird’s eye view of what’s going on here. But God said, let’s go down and make man in our image and in our likeness. And he did that. So we are like him. We’re a copy of the absolute. And that’s God himself. So when we realize that he has a spirit and he has a mind and He has a body that was evidenced in his son Jesus. And now here we are, we’re a three-part being. And don’t buy into the modern concept that, well, you have a body and you have a mind and maybe you have a subconscious. No, you have a three-part being, folks. You have a spirit deep down inside. You have a mind at the middle level, I would say. And you have the body, you know, this wrap that we have around the true inner man of the heart.
SPEAKER 05 :
Which usually is the dominant figure here of the three. It always wants its way. It is selfish. It’s aggressive.
SPEAKER 02 :
You know, here’s an interesting thing, Barbara, that I try to always do when I talk to a person, particularly when they’re asking for help. I try to immediately say, okay, if I put a one, a two, and a three out here, one being, of course, number one most important, I would say now about this person, is the flesh number one or is the mind number one? I’ve worked with quite a few PhDs and very bright people.
SPEAKER 05 :
So their mind would probably be number one.
SPEAKER 02 :
They may worship education. They may worship knowledge. And, oh, I tell you, they just freak out if they thought that, you know, somehow that would be denied them or they might black out or they couldn’t somehow use their intellect. Well, then I would say that person is a number one, a mental. I mean, they’re into the mind things. In that case, their flesh would be number two and their spirit would be number three. And sometimes that spirit has been so denied that it’s hiding down in there. It’s just a little old tiny pea gravel. It’s really small. But then we have a person that’s into the flesh. Maybe they love to eat, they love to drink, they love to do the sensual things of the flesh.
SPEAKER 05 :
I believe that’s where Satan has led most of us in this day and age. All the media the way it is, all the commercials, all that we see by sight is lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, the pride of life. That has to do with the flesh for the most part.
SPEAKER 02 :
If you go in an automotive store, you know you can’t even buy a fan belt without there being a half-naked lady on the little piece of cardboard that holds that belt together. And so you’re right. And so much advertising is done with subliminal things. I mean, some are very blatant, but often many are very subliminal.
SPEAKER 05 :
Oh, and food, food, food. All the time you’re being shoved food in your face. And then we say… Well, I’ve got to eat to live, but I think most of us, our life is surrounded by food. We’re living to eat.
SPEAKER 02 :
The word says about that, your God is your belly.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yes, that’s right.
SPEAKER 02 :
Now, to get that turned around, when we have a person that indeed does get, you know, their, we’d say off the deep end, their primary focus is the flesh. Okay, then the flesh would be number one. The mind is probably number two. And the spirit, again, in this case, is number three. Yes. When we see people start getting into the Word of God and their minds renewed, all of a sudden, all of a sudden the spiritual things become the predominant thing.
SPEAKER 05 :
through a battle. And I say this is not easy when we say, all right, my spirit’s going to take control of my flesh and my mind because God is spirit and we must worship him in spirit. And so I’m going to make sure that my spirit is in control. My goodness. Don’t expect it to happen overnight, people. This takes years sometimes to get that flesh under the control of the Spirit.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, to say it like we would say it on the street, you know, the flesh is going to scream bloody murder. It’s been in charge, and it’s not going to give up the throne.
SPEAKER 05 :
Absolutely not.
SPEAKER 02 :
But you know, to be God-pleasing, we really have to get that Spirit focus here. And our Spirit’s what’s going to last forever. The flesh is going to fall off one of these days.
SPEAKER 05 :
Do you know what it says in 1 Corinthians 15? Flesh and blood shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. So we know that our flesh and our blood is going to have to change before we stand before God.
SPEAKER 02 :
And when they take your body out to the graveyard to bury you in the ground. your spirit’s not going with it. Now, where does your spirit go? It goes to its eternal reward that you have chosen. So you can choose to have that eternal reward for your spirit man on the inside. That’s the real you, by the way. That’s your true identity. That real you can live with the Father, God of love and Jesus and Holy Spirit in heaven. And he says, I am preparing a mansion for you. And I wonder how those mansions are going to be. You know, so many people in Denver like these nostalgic homes.
SPEAKER 05 :
Oh, I do.
SPEAKER 02 :
I wonder if he’s going to give yours an old flair, Barbara.
SPEAKER 05 :
I think so. Yes, I do.
SPEAKER 02 :
Old brick and all that stuff. Vines up the side of the house.
SPEAKER 05 :
Vines, yes. Lots of trees.
SPEAKER 02 :
Big garden.
SPEAKER 05 :
Lots of trees.
SPEAKER 02 :
Lots of birds.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 02 :
But, you know, we need to be real careful that we take care of the hidden man of the heart. And the word says a man who has no control over his spirit is like a city without walls. And so many people I see that are subject to every wind of doctrine, everything that comes along there. They’re I mean, they’re set up for it and they’re going to go for it. So if you’d like to challenge that or talk about that, we’re here to go 303-433-8000. I believe with all my heart we can show you how to get that turned around. And you really need to have the renewed mind. You know, you need to be renewed in the spirit of your mind, as the word says. And I believe that’s the deepest mind. I believe really you have a mind in the spirit and you have a mind in your conscious mind. Some would say, well, that’s probably the subconscious. Well, it doesn’t matter to me what labels you put on it. I believe in Romans 8 it talks about that. It talks about the depths of who we are. In fact, I’ll turn to that right now so I can read it exactly for you. I love my old Bible. It just kind of falls open to where I’m going here. But in Romans 8, 26, it says, And the same way the Spirit, meaning Holy Spirit, also helps our weaknesses. For we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because he intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. I believe that we have also two wills. And I believe the person that is truly, by an act of their will, hardened every part of them against a certain thing.
SPEAKER 05 :
Becomes cynical, suspicious of everything.
SPEAKER 02 :
I believe they’re hardening that deepest will, that deepest mind, as well as their conscious mind. I’ll tell you, it takes an act of God to soften that. And some have done that hard in themselves against the gospel or against a family member or against a church or against a pastor or priest or a Bible teacher. And I believe that only God can soften that hard to get the answer in there to change that life. I believe God’s only one to do that.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s right. In Proverbs 3, it talks about teaching. Son, I’m going to teach you here. I’m going to let your heart keep my commandments. For length of days and years of life and peace, my commandments will add to you. That means his word, this word that we have before us, this word that is so very numerous in America. We can walk into almost any store and get a Bible, and yet that is down our list of priorities, to get a Bible. And yet it is probably one of the most important things you’ll ever handle in your life. And I’d just like to go through Proverbs 3 because it’s so important. And this has everything to do with what we’re saying here today. We need to get this spirit man going. And how do we do it? By studying his commands. Studying this word that he has given to us. And it says it will add length of days and years of life and peace to you if you’re seeking peace today in your relationships, in your life. And the whole world is seeking peace. We’re talking about landmines now being taken out because the world wants peace. This is going to be a false peace before Jesus comes. Believe that. It will be. But it says here in the third verse, do not let kindness and truth leave you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good repute or good reputation in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your mind. Don’t lean on your own understanding in all your ways. Acknowledge him and he will make your path straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes. Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. It will be healing. Now just think of this. It will be healing to your body. This is physical healing and refreshing to your bones. And then it goes on with honor the Lord from your wealth, from the first fruits of all your produce. And we’re talking about tithe a lot, Darren, because that’s so important to get that spirit out in the front of your. Now, your flesh is going to want to hold on. It’s going to want to withhold and not be generous. But that spirit is saying, give, give, give, and it shall be given unto you.
SPEAKER 02 :
You know, I think I can say this, Barbara. Over the years, I’ve talked to probably thousands and thousands of people that were in grievous straits. I don’t think I’ve ever talked to a person that was a tither from their heart as well as with their hands when they write the check, tithing on the first of their produce here, bringing the first fruits into the storehouse. I don’t think I’ve ever talked to one of those that had grievous, deep problems. I believe that money is so tied to everything we do in our lives. And often, you know, when people come to us, and I mean, their hearts are broken, their lives are shattered and everything else. And one of the things we frequently ask them, are you a tither? Well, now let me tell you what my idea is on this. I said, no, I want to, are you a tither? You either are or you aren’t.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, I’ve got so many bills. I just don’t have anything left over when I pay them all.
SPEAKER 02 :
And this is one of God’s promises because he wants to bless our socks off. And a lot of the problems that we address during the week are problems that relate to worry, concern over financial problems. And I found that, you know, and I believe I can say that, that I have never talked to somebody whose life was really, really messed up. That was a tither from the heart, an actual tither could prove that they were tithered. And instead of going on their idea of what it meant, find out what the Bible says. And here it says the first of the produce. You know, I had breakfast with our spirit-filled accountant yesterday. And, in fact, the day before. I’ve asked him to come and be on the air. And one of these days he’s going to work it into his schedule. We’re going to get him on the air. And he’ll talk about it from a biblical perspective. Here’s a man that’s, you know, international, has international clients. Mm-hmm. one of the wisest persons I know when it comes to biblical finance, and it works.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yes, and didn’t he tell you that when he first started with his giving, he’d throw in a dollar? He says, that’s enough.
SPEAKER 02 :
Getting acquainted with the Lord, he said, that dollar’s enough. That’s all I’m giving.
SPEAKER 05 :
Until he found out that in giving, he just received so much more. It says like in verse 10 here, your barns will be filled with plenty. That means where you’re going to get your sustenance for the rest of the year after the harvest. This is where you get fed. This is where food is put on your table. And your vats will overflow with new wine. You will never be in want, never be in need.
SPEAKER 02 :
Folks, I can tell you something. We’re one of the easiest, softest on this in terms of you supporting our ministry. But I’ll tell you what you do need to support, and that’s the gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s right. Whether you ever send Darren in Denver a dime, you need to be a tither.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s so important for you. Yes. Yes.
SPEAKER 02 :
And you need to find those ministries. And I’ll tell you what, the guidelines I go by, are they getting people saved? Can people get healed? Are they holding up the whole word of God? Do they have some weird private interpretation out there that nobody else has? I wouldn’t support them if they have that. But if they can back up what they’re teaching in Scripture, then I begin to believe they’re good ground. That’s right. And I’m saying to you, you need to support the gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s his plan. Now, why is that his plan? Number one is to get you blessed. That’s the most selfish thing you can do. Let me say it this way. This kind of turned around. Maybe this will grab you. The most selfish thing you can do financially is to tithe. I mean, you’re going to get yourself blessed. And all he’s asking for is 10%. He says, that’s my money. Now, you can have the 90%. Anybody can figure out that 90% is more than 10%.
SPEAKER 05 :
And every other religion requires much more than that.
SPEAKER 02 :
Some of them take it all.
SPEAKER 05 :
Absolutely, absolutely much more. So I praise God that we serve a God who is generous and a God who loves us.
SPEAKER 02 :
And, Barbara, let’s take Malachi 3. A lot of people we talk to are on their own.
SPEAKER 05 :
I wasn’t going to get on this subject today.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, I am because God loves us. It’s His Word. And in the book of John it says, In the beginning there was the Word, and the Word was God. The Word is God.
SPEAKER 05 :
Was with God and the Word was God.
SPEAKER 02 :
Now, if you have repeated calamities coming to your house, I want you to take a look at this scripture. He says in verse 8 of Malachi 3, and this is wild stuff, folks. This is not just on dollars and money and wealth and financial interests. But he has some other things to address here. And I want you to read this. And I say the eyes of your heart are being enlightened today as I read this. Will a man rob God?
SPEAKER 05 :
Or defraud God, yes.
SPEAKER 02 :
You are robbers. You’ve robbed me. But you say, how have we robbed thee? In tithes and in offerings, he says. You are cursed with a curse, see. And when you steal from God, you bring curse on your head. You’re cursed with a curse for you’re robbing me, the whole nation of you.
SPEAKER 05 :
I’m reminded, excuse me for a minute, when this offering, it means heave offering. And remember that little story we heard about this guy just threw his money up and what stays up is yours, Lord, and what comes down is mine.
SPEAKER 04 :
I love it. A lot of people believe that. You know, Lord, I’m going to throw my offering up here. I’m going to heave it up here to you. And what stays up there, Lord, is yours.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah, we’re saying, God, I hope you’re a good catch. Okay, verse 10. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse. Whole tithe.
SPEAKER 04 :
Whole.
SPEAKER 02 :
So that there may be food in my house. First fruits. Test me now in this. Now, to my knowledge, this is the only time in scripture when he says, OK, you can test me over here in this area. Test me now in this, says the Lord of hosts. If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. Well, that’s not too shabby. That’s that’s being where you need to be. Verse 11. And here’s what a lot of you miss when it comes to connecting this with your giving. Now, let me put that in modern words. I would say this, that he’s going to rebuke the problems. He’s going to rebuke that employer that’s being mean and uncooperative. He’s going to protect your car. He’s going to protect your body, your kids. He’s going to rebuke that devourer that’s coming to devour you, that’s coming, as it says in John 10, verse 10, to kill, steal, and destroy. He’s going after that problem in your life, and that’s the devil himself. We’ve got a phone call. Let’s take it. Linda, how are you doing?
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, praise the Lord, Darren. Hi. I say amen to what you’re teaching there. Well, thank you. We’ve seen this. That happened in our life this last week with car problems and stuff, and everything’s worked out to our advantage. Praise God.
SPEAKER 02 :
Wonderful. Well, Gene was telling me that he had some problems with an oil pump or something.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, and he took care of it. Good. I heard you a couple weeks ago talk about… a friend that could smell hell. Yes. Have you ever smelled the Lord? Yes. Fragrance. Yeah. One time I smelled the Lord, and it smelled like roses. And I was just walking around trying to find if I had any roses, but I didn’t. And one time Gene was at Promise Keepers, and Jack Haper was praying, and a breeze came in, and he said it. could you smell that? And it was the Lord. It smelled like a woodsy smell. And I often wondered, why did he smell like roses to me and woods to Jean? It’s the same Lord, you know. And I found it in Song of Solomon, Chapter 2. And it says, I am the rose of Sharon and the lily of the valleys. As the lily among thorns soars my love among the daughters. As the apple tree among the trees of the wood soars So is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under the shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. He brought me to the banquet house, and his banner over me was love. And that just blessed me so much. I wanted to share that today.
SPEAKER 06 :
That’s wonderful.
SPEAKER 03 :
To know that that banner over us is love. And God is a God of love. And He can soften those hearts in the most wonderful ways, you know, that no one can understand or explain. But His hand is so gentle. And I just thank God for that.
SPEAKER 02 :
He wants to bless us, doesn’t He?
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes, He does. All we have to do is be willing and not afraid because He’s so gentle. I mean… He doesn’t slap us around. He loves us, doesn’t he? He loves it right out of us.
SPEAKER 02 :
He’s not into child abuse.
SPEAKER 03 :
That’s right. Well, we sure appreciate your heart.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, we do. You guys are an inspiration to us.
SPEAKER 03 :
Amen. But I’ve never seen my mansion, but I know where it is, and it’s right next to God’s heart. And I can’t wait for that day.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s wonderful.
SPEAKER 03 :
So God bless you.
SPEAKER 02 :
You too. Well, Linda, we love you guys. We love you too. All right, stick with Jesus. Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER 05 :
Bye.
SPEAKER 02 :
I’ll tell you.
SPEAKER 05 :
I heard talking about fragrances, you know, what does it smell like near the heart of God? And she smells roses and Jean smells woodsy things. And I think of that time that you had such a horrendous time in your life and you didn’t know when your next meal was coming from and where you were going to live. That’s right. And you said you were driving down the road and this smell of fresh baked bread. And I believe that was God. And I was way out in the country.
SPEAKER 02 :
There wasn’t a farmhouse within half a mile, and I was startled. I happen to like fresh-baked bread, and the more the better, of course, and the more the better the better, or the more the jelly the better, right?
SPEAKER 05 :
So we say to you that are seeking after God, open your heart to anything He may have for you today. You may smell an unusual fragrance today, and that’s Jesus confirming His love for you. Just open your spiritual man up today and say, Father God, I want all that you have for me in my spirit man. Just not my flesh, what I see with my eyes and hear with my ears. But I want you to have me open up the kingdom of God to me in my spirit today.
SPEAKER 02 :
Doesn’t it say in Scripture, Barbara, that the praise of the saints and the prayers of the saints are sweet savor to the Lord?
SPEAKER 05 :
More than anything else, God wants a relationship with you. It’s also important that you talk to God often, and don’t just talk about Him. So spend some time in communion with Him. You are made in God’s image, and you are made up of spirit, soul, and body. But the most important part of you is spirit. You must teach your body and your soul to be in subjection to your spirit, because flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. God bless you and keep you until the next time on Call to Freedom.
