Well, the Bible tells us very clearly, wherefore take the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand, stand therefore having your loins gird about with truth. and having on the breastplate of righteousness. The other portion of Scripture is 2 Corinthians 10, verses 3 through 7. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they’re mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. bringing into bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled do you look at these things according to the outward appearance let me stop there paul said i’m not warring by the flesh and my guest today is tom and his powerful testimony coming up really quick giving the real quick short testimony and then we’re going to talk about how uh the mind but let’s talk about real quick for those that missed uh yesterday and day before so my name is tom and i thought i was saved and going to heaven and i turned to drugs and alcohol
SPEAKER 03 :
And I backslid. I was a backslidden Christian thinking I was okay with God and I could do whatever I want as long as I just turned back to him. And I almost died in my sins. And I realized in my life that I need God more than ever. And I turned to him with all my heart, mind, and soul. And he gave me his Holy Spirit. And for the first time in my life, I felt freedom. And I’ve come here today to let you know that you can be free. Pray, pray without ceasing and watch what God will do. Tell them where you were when God finally rescued you. I was homeless on the streets, completely out of my mind, in and out of rehabs, jails, ERs. Nothing worked until Jesus did. Wow, that’s so powerful, isn’t it?
SPEAKER 02 :
Now, Tom, when you first came in, you know, when those are listening today, they have family members that are addicted to heroin, addicted to meth, and their minds are out there. And so when you came in, this portion of Scripture says, For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare is not carnal, but mighty through God, to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down hostility. arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. When you first came in, boy, that battle that you had to battle, share with them that are maybe struggling and maybe they’re afraid and maybe they want to give up. Help them to understand how important it is to take
SPEAKER 03 :
those thoughts take each thought captive and so what that means is that your mind needs to be renewed by trusting in god’s word knowing that he’s placed you somewhere to be in a family where you can be rooted in church church is the foundation of your salvation this is where you’re going to learn his word and how to grow in love with those that god has placed around you it’s very crucial and at this time You will begin to see that there are people that love you, but you must refrain from that old way of thinking. Do not let your old man come back in and lie to you again. Don’t let yourself backslide. You want to keep moving forward in God’s kingdom. And as you begin to do what his word says, your mind will begin to renew. So you want to be prayed up continuously and you want to love others and know that God has placed you somewhere to be for such a time as this. So do not turn back.
SPEAKER 1 :

Amen. Amen. Taking every thought captive because meth really confuses the mind.
SPEAKER 03 :
Correct. Yeah, you become very double minded. And so your lies become your truth and your truth becomes your lie. and so now you’ve deceived yourself and to get out of meth or heroin or any type of addiction even prescription medication it takes a miracle of god’s grace and once that happens you cannot take it for granted so don’t allow any anger or bitterness to come back in your heart because satan is a thief and he will rob your joy he will leave you bitter he will leave you in that same place that god pulled you out of If you do not recognize his strategies and if you’re not a doer of the word.
SPEAKER 02 :
Amen. You know what I love about Tom? Tom shares the gospel everywhere he goes. When he goes to, we also have goats on the prayer mountain to help clean up. And so Tom, he takes care of the, he’s like the shepherd. He takes care of the goats and he goes and picks up whatever alfalfa or whatever they need. And, you know, the Bible says in the book of Ephesians chapter 15, it says, and your feet shrod with the preparation of the gospel of peace above all, taking the shield of faith. He is able to go out. And now, you know, Tom, why do you share with everybody everywhere you go?
SPEAKER 03 :
Because it’s what God has done in my life, because now I know that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. And He is the way to salvation, so it’s exciting to let others know, because I’ve never seen myself doing that before. I remember people coming up to me and witnessing, and I always rejected the truth. I wasn’t ready for the truth. But now that I know the truth and the light is in me, I want that for others because no one really let me know that I was going to hell. Everyone told me that Jesus loves me and I’m saved, but I need Jesus. But the real truth, I mean, the wages of sin is still death and the gift of life. God is eternal life through Jesus. So I think just being real straightforward and honest because God’s given me a testimony for his glory. And I realized that witnessing has really helped me be grateful for all that God has done in my life. And it helps build his church because it’s not about you.
SPEAKER 02 :
Ooh, amen, amen, and amen. Did you hear that? It’s not about me. It’s about him. It’s about God’s church, building God’s church. Well, the Bible says they took the land by the blood of the lamb and the power of their testimony. Your testimony has power, Tom, and I appreciate you. just being transparent and sharing your testimony with people. And sometimes people come to visit the prayer mountain and I’ll give them, I’ll be giving them a tour and I’ll see Tom and his work clothes and he’s working hard and I’ll stop the, stop the cart. And I’ll say, Hey Tom, Share your testimony, and Tom just shares his testimony of what Jesus has done in his life, a life that was bound by drugs and anger and alcohol and lust and perversion, and now a man that’s filled with joy and peace and victory and God’s love, God’s grace has purpose, has destiny, and you know, and what a joy. And now he’s even coming to the university, a touch from above Christian university. What do you think about that, Tom?
SPEAKER 03 :
I think that is so awesome. Yeah. I get to go to school and learn God’s word in a university. Wow. That’s amazing. Yeah. I didn’t see that coming.
SPEAKER 02 :
And one day you want to be a preacher? would love to be a preacher a teacher yes yes all i can do all things through christ who strengthens me amen more than a conqueror through him amen amen you’re listening to my program today i’m dr Luauna and this is a touch from above right from our prayer mountain out of ramona california wow what a powerful testimony my guest is tom bieben who is working on a book And I’m telling you what, you’ll want to pick up that book when it’s done. And I’m telling you what, God is so good. You know, the Bible tells you and I that he makes a way for us. And if we’re not careful, you don’t want to neglect such a great of salvation. You don’t want to take for granted that what God is doing in your life by not going to church, by not caring, by not being a part. So many have forsaken the assembly of God. And how important, you know, when I first got saved, Tom, the first thing they told me, now remember, I wasn’t raised in church either, so I was straight heathen when I came into the kingdom. And the first thing they told me is be here every time the doors open. And it was kind of funny because I had never been to church. So I said, well, do you have a schedule? I was trying to figure out what the schedule was. I had never read a Bible. I’d never been to church. I never heard about being born again. I never heard about speaking in tongues or being filled with the spirit. And so then he says, well, have you ever been to church? no is this your yes he said do you have a bible no and he goes somebody get her a bible somebody get her a schedule and i was there the next service that morning i went to church that sunday morning that sunday evening i was at church that next wednesday i was at church that next sunday morning i was at church later on after a couple of months i guess what i found myself being sunday morning sunday evening wednesday saturday they had a christian concert Sometimes on Friday, Friday they had an outreach. And within one year later, I ended up opening up a men’s home, a women’s home. And before I knew it, I was at church almost four times to five times a week. Okay guys, what can I do? Do you need help? Do you need cleaning? What are we doing? It was my life. Jesus became my life. That’s kind of what’s happened to you, Tom.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, absolutely. Jesus became my life. He’s my salvation. And when he came into my life and changed the desires of my heart and began to renew my mind, I realized, like, salvation exists. This isn’t common. This is something so precious and so amazing that Jesus is the only way, the truth, and the life that he begins to restore everything that you had thought you’ve lost and will give you a new life through his Holy Spirit. And I began to press in. And even those that were around me began to look at my zeal as something too radical. I knew that it wasn’t. I knew that you cannot be more… radical enough for Jesus and I began to press in and that’s when I realized that there’s more to it than just religion. There’s a relationship with God and Jesus says He stands at the door and knocks. And if anyone asks Him in, if you ask Him in your heart to come in, to fully come in, He will come in and step with you and he will give you the promise of his Holy Spirit. He’s our advocate and he will help you and lead you. He’s like my prayer coach. He always lets me know what I need to do to change and transform my life so that I could shine his glory.
SPEAKER 02 :
amen sounds like a preacher to me you know tom people say well i can just be saved by myself but the bible tells you and i in second timothy chapter three that we know this that in the last days perilous times will come For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boaster, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanders without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. Having a form of godliness but denying its power and from such people turn away. you know God is so serious so serious so serious about these last days and we’re in those last days now and I like where he says having a form of godliness but denying its power the same thing happened with the children of Israel back in the time of Moses many of them had a form of godliness but yet they denied his power. We have that in America today. Everybody in America is saved. Oh yeah, I’m saved. I’m a Christian. I’m born again. Well, why do you live like the devil’s hell and expect to go live with Jesus? You know, there’s a problem there. And I think it’s so awesome to be able to hear the truth of God because many like the, tell them about the five foolish virgins.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, because many things think that their lamps are filled. Many people may think that their form of knowing God is going to get them to heaven, but it’s a deception because they’re not doing what His Word says to do. There’s another scripture that also brings up people that twist God’s word and they take it out of context to fit their own needs. And when you realize that Jesus came to abolish religion, abolish the traditions of man, then all more be it that his word is final. And there is a judgment, and it’s appointed unto man to live once and then death, and after death there is a judgment. And God will take all your works, and He will take all of that in consideration, and it will all be right before you and Him. So that’s why… i strongly want to urge you to commit your lives to him let him establish you so that you will be rooted like a tree that is planted by the rivers of living water that whatsoever you shall do will prosper and you cannot prosper by yourself you need to be rooted in christ he is the true vine and we are his branches We are jointly fit together. He describes us as his building blocks. We are building his kingdom and we cannot do this alone. Once you become alone and unstable in all your ways, you become double-minded. And I think that’s been the strategy is to divide the church. Division brings in deception and Trusting in God’s Word will help you root out the evil seeds of hell.
SPEAKER 02 :
Amen. Hebrews 10, reading in verse 23, says exactly what you’re saying here. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering. For he who promised is faithful. God is so faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another and so much more as you see the day approaching. For if we sin willfully… after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins. I know that’s not popular preaching today, but you have to understand here, Hebrews has given us a warning He says, for if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation, which will devour the adversaries. Anyone, now he’s going to take you way back into history, all the way back to Moses. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. of how much more worse punishment do you suppose will he be thought worthy who has trampled the son of god jesus underfoot counted the blood of jesus the blood of jesus of the covenant the cross by which he was sanctified a common thing and insulted the spirit of grace For we know him who said, vengeance is mine. I will repay, says the Lord. And again, the Lord will judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. there is a day of reckoning and i don’t think people understand that day of reckoning and what a miracle of god’s grace tom that you almost died in and out of the hospital probably over 50 times found on the street how many times put on ice i mean my goodness they were going to take your organs what a miracle of god’s why did you share that story
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, I ended up crossing the border to try to go get drugs and overdosing and waking up and covered with bags of ice about to get cut open for my organs.
SPEAKER 02 :
I’m telling you what, the devil wanted to destroy this young man, but Jesus didn’t. rescued him and this is why we share the straight gospel if you are gonna if you’re gonna serve God you better serve him you better serve him with all your heart mind and soul I like when Tom said when you don’t serve him you become double-minded well the book of James says a double-minded man is unstable in all of his ways Every bit of your way becomes unstable. You become double-minded. You’re full of fear. You’re full of doubt. You’re full of unbelief. Well, yeah, God can. Well, maybe he didn’t. Well, maybe he will. Maybe he won’t. No, faith is a substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Without faith, it’s impossible to please God. And those that come to God must believe that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him. Amen. What do you want to tell them real quick?
SPEAKER 03 :
Amen. I want to tell you that that is so true about seeking God. He is your rewarder, and He always comes through. But the most important thing is to learn to fear God. Learn to want to be with Him. Learn that if you’re apart from Him, torment and sin will destroy your life. After the Lord came into my heart, I realized that the fear of Him became my treasure. And I think that the fear of the Lord is what’s going to help this nation come back and repent.
SPEAKER 02 :
amen i believe that because people have lost the fear of the lord this is why everyone’s kind of running around you know the bible says without a vision the people perish i love that a touch from above we have a vision amen we have a vision to reach the loss we have a vision to preach the gospel across the entire united states of america we train up powerful workers leaders and teachers and why to preach the gospel why that’s the number one we don’t run around from one church to another church to another church to another church no we’re rooted we’re grounded we’re we’re going to be like a tree that is planted by the rivers of living water and without jesus we can’t do that and this is so important you’re listening to my program today and i want to invite you maybe you’re not locked into a church maybe you need to come on out and hear the word of God.
