Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherry Campbell. Today I’m going to continue sharing with you the message that I’ve been sharing with you for the last several broadcasts that I preached in two of our Victorious Faith services called What Love Does. So join me now on our live service for part 10 of this series, What Love Does. Because this is also a good marriage counseling lesson. How to have a happy marriage. Look at this. Now, first of all, let me show you Ephesians chapter six, verse one, children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right. That word obey is not used ever, ever in the scripture regarding wives to their husbands. Each time the instruction to the wife is submit. But look at, this is what we have here in our notes. Letter N, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Ephesians 5, 21. So look at your Bible. Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. So that’s every Christian. Just yield to others. Don’t demand your own way. Give preference and priority to others. And then the next verse, verse 22, wives submit to your husbands, to the Lord. Everybody submit to one another and wives submit to your husbands. Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. In other words, died to himself for her. So in other words, that is also a giving preference. You could say husbands are also in the command, included in the command in verse 21. Submit to one another would also include husbands to their wives also. Not that he’s not supposed to take the lead, but he’s not supposed to be demanding and forceful and harsh and always my way, my way, my way, because that all has to do with selfishness and pride. And those are the characteristics of the flesh that need to be killed and crucified. Love is always preferring the other, honoring the other, giving way to the other, prioritizing the other, giving preference to the other. And so in a marriage, it works both ways in order for it to be a smooth relationship. Amen. Amen. So I needed to give you that little lesson about submission. And let you know that I’ve heard it, you know, especially in older movies and wedding vows to love and obey. Wives are to love and obey. That’s not scriptural. It’s to love and submit. And I want to point it out because the same command to the wife is to everybody submit to one another out of reference for Christ. Think of that giveaway, that yield sign. Whenever you think of submission, think of the yield sign. When you’re driving your car, you have a yield, especially in those circles now that we have a lot, the roundabouts. You have to let the other go first. Give them way. That’s submission. Putting them ahead and putting yourself below or behind sub sub sub means under like a submarine goes underwater. Sub sub means to be below or behind submission. And so submit means to put yourself below or behind another. It’s that simple. Submission is putting yourself below or behind another. Okay. And then Philippians 2, 3, in humility, consider one another, others better than yourselves in humility. So humility there. Teach and admonish one another with all wisdom. Colossians 3.16. Encourage each other or one another. 1 Thessalonians 4.18. Build each other or one another up. 1 Thessalonians 5.11. Spur wisdom. one another on toward love and gird deeds. That again is an encouragement. You can do it. Good thing. Good job. Hebrews 10, 24. Do not slander one another. James 4, 11. Don’t grumble against one another. James 5, 9. Confess your sins to one another. James 5, 16. I believe that really means when you’ve wronged somebody, you go to them and say, I’m sorry, I wronged you. It’s not that you have to tell all your faults to people. It’s that when you’ve wronged them, you say, I’m sorry, I wronged you. And pray for one another, James 5.16. Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, 1 Peter 5.5. Humility and love go hand in hand, and it’s putting self down. We know we have passed from death unto life because we love our brothers, 1 John 3.14. Hallelujah. So that’s the one another scriptures that I have. Now, there are scriptures to love your enemies. But Matthew 5, 43 to 47, you have heard that it was said, love your neighbor, hate your enemy. But I tell you, love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you that you may be sons of your father in heaven. He causes his son to rise on the evil and the good and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Romans 12, 14, bless those who persecute you, bless and do not curse. Verse 17, do not repay anyone evil for evil. Verses 19 to 21, do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written, it’s mine to avenge, I will repay, says the Lord. On the contrary, if your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Hallelujah. Now you are able to love. Say, I am able to love. I am able to love. How are we and why are we able to love? Number one, Romans 5, 5. And hope does not disappoint us because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit whom he has given us. We are able to love because he poured his love into our hearts. That’s why we are able to love. And then Genesis 1.26, God said, let us make man in our image, in our likeness. 1 John 5.1, everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Okay, we have made in God’s image, in God’s likeness, born of God. God is love. First John 416. God is love. So God is love. We are made in the image and in the likeness of love of God, who is love. So we are made in the image of love. God is love. We’re made in God’s image. We’re made in the image of love. We are born of God. God is love. We are born of love. So why are we able to love? Because we’re born of love. Why are we able to love? Because we’re made in the image of love himself. We have the same capacity to love as God has. That is amazing. We have the same. Everybody say, I have the same capacity to love as God has. I have the same capacity to love as God has. It’s amazing. God’s love is in me. I’m made in God’s image and God is love. And God loves the sinner. God loves even the most vilest sinner. God loves the one who blasphemes and curses him. Jesus loved those who nailed him to the cross and those who sentenced him. God loved the Pharisees who accused him. And we have the same capacity to love because we’re born of God and made in God’s image. Praise the Lord. Amen. Hallelujah. So love lives in us. We are. We have the same capacity to love. And John 17, 26, Jesus prayed to the father. I have made you known to them. Father speaking to the father and will continue to make you known in order that. Why? The love you have for me may be in them. How great is the father’s love for the son? It is incomprehensible. It cannot be comprehended. How great is the father’s love for the son? Beyond comprehension. And he said that the love you have for me, it’s going to be inside of them. Wow. That’s amazing. Praise the Lord. So just say it right now. God’s love is in me. God, say it again. God’s love is in me. Say it again. God’s love is in me. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. We must yield to the love of God. Remember the fruit of the spirit. I talked about it. I mentioned at the very beginning, Galatians 5, 22. Fruit come from… And this is what I started to talk about this. And then I got sidetracked on spirit, soul and body. But when you’re born again, you’re created in the image of God and all the fruit of the spirit, the nine love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and self-control. They are born into you when you’re born again, because the spirit of the fruit of the spirit, the spirit is in you. They are created in you. They’re created in you, but they’re in seed form. And what do you do with the seed to get a plant? To get a tree, you plant it and water it. You plant it and water it. And if you don’t ever plant it and water it, it doesn’t grow. So God gives us the seed of love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control. But we have to develop them through the water of the word. And we’re going to talk about that. You speak the word of God and you speak in agreement with the word of God. Don’t ever say, I just don’t have any patience. that’s a terrible thing to say and it’s a bad confession, but it was born in you when you’re born again. It’s in you. It’s in you. Joy is in you. And actually, usually the first fruit that manifests is joy and then right behind it, love for everybody you see around you. You know, if you had one of those experiences when you’re more of an adult, anyway, I’ve heard that testimony so many times when people get born again, their first feeling is joy, but we need to feed the love.
