In this episode of Victorious Faith, Cherri Campbell delves deep into understanding the will of God concerning healing. Challenging the notion that the Lord’s will is a mystery, Cherri guides listeners through a biblical exploration of faith, emphasizing the importance of being fully persuaded in God’s promises. Through a detailed examination of scripture, the episode highlights the significance of knowing God’s will to effectively pray the prayer of faith.
SPEAKER 01 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This morning I’m going to continue sharing with you a message that I preached in one of our Victorious Faith services called, Who Do You Say That I Am? My Healer. So join me now in our live service for the continuation of this message, Who Do You Say That I Am? My Healer. Now, faith in itself, if you understand the definition of faith, it is confidence, and it means being fully persuaded. Fully persuaded. Now, the phrase, if it be thy will… Does that denote being fully persuaded? Not at all. It’s a question. The word if is a question. It’s a doubt. It shows there is no confidence. There is no persuasion. There’s even really no knowledge. So you cannot pray the prayer of faith, being fully persuaded and confident, believing you take grasp and take to yourself something from God, if there’s this question over there, if it be thy will. So you see, if it be thy will, that phrase will always rob the prayer of faith of any power. And You will not be able to believe you receive until you answer the question, if it be thy will. So that’s where you need to find out what is the will of God. Answer the question. Get an answer after it. Find out. And then I’ve met Christians who say, oh, but the will of God is a mystery. No, it isn’t. Not if you read the book. It’s in there. And in Ephesians, I think it’s chapter 5, it says, do not be unaware of what the Lord’s will is. Don’t be ignorant of the Lord’s will. It tells you, don’t be ignorant of the Lord’s will. Find out what the Lord’s will is. It’s in his word. His promises are his will. And you go to 1 John, and it says, if you… Okay, I’m quoting one scripture and thinking another scripture, so let me get the two lined up and matching to be the same, all right? Let’s go to 1 John. 1 John 5, 14, and 15. This is the confidence, this is the faith, this is the persuasion we have in approaching God that if we ask anything according to his, what? His will, he hears us. How can you ask according to his will if you don’t know his will? And if we know that he hears us, that means we know that we ask according to his will. Then we have whatever we asked of him. Let me read this again. This is the confidence. This is the faith. This is being fully persuaded that we have. This is the confidence we have in approaching God. That if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. So we need to ask according to his will. And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of him. And so you have to know what his will is, and that’s why we’re going through these evidences of his will. So that you can answer the question, if it be thy will. Because until you get that answered, you don’t have faith to pray the prayer of faith to receive. So, if it be thy will is a prayer that you ask to find the will of God. And it’s like, Lord, do you want me to go to this college or that college? Do you want me to marry this man or that man? Do you want me to take this job or not? Do you want me to live here or not? Should I move or should I stay here? It’s these things that relate to the direction of our lives, where we go. God’s plan for us, what we should do, where we should be, that we’re seeking his will all the time. And then how do you know? You know by the spirit in you, by the leading of the spirit, by the confirmation he gives you by the spirit. And so you find out his will. And then when you know his will, you pray the prayer of faith. The prayer of faith says, I believe I receive it. Thank you, Lord, I take. And that lambano, I am fully persuaded that it’s your will for me to be healed, so I’m going to take my healing by faith in Jesus’ name. So, all right, so back to Matthew 8, the man with leprosy. We have this story of this miracle in the Bible selected as a special occasion that was recorded for eternity. because it’s the only time it’s recorded anybody ever asked him if it be your will. It’s the only time written in the gospel, the four gospels, it’s the only time recorded that anybody ever asked him, Lord, is it your will to heal me? If it’s your will, Lord, if you’re willing, you can make me clean. Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man, What was his answer? I am willing, he said, be clean. Immediately he was cured of his leprosy. The time that that question was answered, an answer was given, I am willing. That’s for all eternity. His answer is right there. Are you willing? I’m willing. That doesn’t have to be asked again. Because it was already asked. And the answer was already given. And Jesus said, I am the same today and forever. Yesterday, today, and forever. And we also know other reasons why it is his will. Let me just kind of rush through a couple of these. But Jesus said himself, I’ve come down from heaven not to do my will, but to do the will of him who sent me. So Jesus came in John 6, 38, saying, I do my father’s will. So that means that the miracles of Jesus were the father’s will, right? Well, was there anybody, can you give me one person recorded in scripture that Jesus said, no, I’ll not heal you? It’s not one. You have no scriptural evidence of Jesus ever saying no. Never was it written in scripture that he said no. Always, when people asked, he said yes. And in all the mass miracles, the mass crowds, Matthew 4, 23 and 24, he went around preaching the gospel, healing every or all diseases and sickness. Every disease and sickness. How many did he heal? All. All, every. Matthew 9, 35 and 36. Again, he was preaching the kingdom and healing every or all disease and sickness. And I encourage you to circle the word all or every in your Bible because most Christians overlook that word. When they read those scriptures again and again and again. And I’m going just through Matthew. Matthew 4, 23, 24. Matthew 9, 35, 36. He healed every disease. Matthew 12, 15. He healed all their sick. Matthew 14, 14 and 35 and 36. All who touched him were healed. And Acts 10, 38. How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power who went around doing good and healing all. All who were oppressed of the devil. It says every time that masses came, how many did he heal? He healed them all. He never said no to anybody. Now, do you think there might have been an unrighteous person in those masses? Yes. Absolutely is an absolutely right answer. In the masses, and historians say there are 10,000, 20,000, or even 40,000 or 50,000 people in some of these crowds. So if you have 10,000, 20,000, or 40,000, even just 10,000 people, just 10,000, would there be any unrighteous people there? Any unholy people there? Any people who have done anything wrong? How many did Jesus heal? He healed them all. He healed them all. He healed them all. So we have from the miracles of Jesus, the witness that he healed them all. He never said no. The only time he was asked, he said yes. He never said no to anybody. He always healed them all. Glory, glory, glory to God. So there are so many confirmations. And then we know it’s his will to heal us because it’s also because it’s part of redemption. It’s in the same package with the forgiveness of sins. And there’s a great lesson on that because, first of all, sin is what brought death and death is what brought sickness. Sin came and death by sin, says in Romans. And in that way, death came to all men. Sickness and disease is the offspring of death. Lack and poverty and hunger. It’s the offspring of death. It’s death in finances. Strife. Division is death in relationships. Discouragement is death in hope. Sorrow is death of joy. Sickness and disease is a slow or fast process of the body dying. And so sin came and death came by sin. Jesus came to take care of the sin problem. But don’t you know that if sin came and death came by sin, if you reverse it and take care of the sin, what happens to the death? It’s reversed also. Jesus said in John 10, 10, I came to give life and give it more abundantly. He came to give life. And so even the forgiveness of sin is what heals sickness and disease, right? That’s why in so many of the miracles, I won’t even go through them. So many, even scripture promises of the Old Testament and New Testament. He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. Psalm 103. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me. Bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not any of his benefits. who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. See, so many times forgiveness of sin and healing are even in the same scripture. Back to back. Forgive sin, heals diseases. Forgive sin, heals diseases. Why? Because the forgiveness of sins heals the disease. even the one, the paralytic that was let down through the roof. And Jesus said to that man, to the paralyzed, get up, your sins are forgiven. Why didn’t he just say, get up and walk? He said, get up, your sins are forgiven because your sins forgiven is what makes you walk. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
