Welcome to Call to Freedom. Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Sometimes we think that when we see an eagle in the sky, we think, oh, I’d love to do that. I’d love to soar in the sky. Some of us aren’t going to be soaring like the eagles. We’re going to be resting, and we’re going to be accomplishing actually what God wants us to accomplish when we’re resting. It’s like 2 Corinthians 12 tells us that in his strength, we are made perfect in our weakness. His strength makes us absolutely perfect in Even in our weakness. I mean, God is saying, give it, give it all to me. Give your weakness, give your illness, give your finances, give it all to me. And I’ll tell you, God is the greatest CPA there is. It’s certified public accountant. I don’t know if he’s got a title like that in heaven, but oh, he keeps the books. I don’t ever have to worry and complain about not being able to meet the bills and meet the end of the month in the black instead of the red. And he is just wonderful. I hope that you have been introduced to Holy Spirit who lives in you as you’ve accepted Jesus as your Savior and Lord. Holy Spirit is now living in you. As Jesus said in John 14, the Father and I are going to make our abode. We’re going to go into your temple house. That’s where you live. And we’re going to live there. You say, how can God, the creator of the universe, live there? Well, We are so physically minded and fleshly minded. We have no concept of what God can do. I know that after Jesus was resurrected from the grave, he could walk through doors. I mean, in his body that he actually that they felt him. They saw he was physical, but it was a transformed body that he had. And wow, we’re going to have transformed bodies, my friends. So we’re going to have such renewed strength in the Lord. Remember that you can’t do enough exercise or you can’t eat enough good food in your life to get to the place where you are going to feel absolutely like a Superman or a superwoman. It’s through God that we have our strength renewed. It’s through God that we have wings like an eagle. It’s through God that we run and don’t grow weary. It’s through God that we walk and do not faint. Oh, praise God. Let’s do our Bible Monday Bible slogan. This is my Bible. I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have. I do what it tells me to do. This is my Bible. It has given me new life. It is the Word of God. And as you realize you are walking in a new, brand new life, you’re going to have an identity change. You were part of the world before Jesus. Now, since you have accepted him as savior and Lord, you have your identity in him and in the word of God, because what is Jesus called? He’s called the word. So you’re going to get into the word. You’re going to dive into it and you’re going to learn so much. Oh, you are. You are blessed to dispense for in him. You live and move and have your being. I just really recommend, even though it’s in November and we go through it in a year, so in December, we’re going to wrap it up in Revelation. you can know the Bible so well. I mean, you don’t have to use those tabs to get to your books. You’re going to, after a year of study, you’re going to be able to locate just with your eyes where a certain book is. I guarantee it because I know I had to do a lot of it mechanically my first year. But as I grew familiar with the Word of God, I realized how beautiful it really was and accountable. And acceptable to what I was able to do. If I have 15 minutes a day, I go to the Word. If I’ve got half an hour, I used to sit in the car while Darren went to the courthouse and all these different things, getting our company with the state of Colorado and 501c3 and all of this. So I used to sit in the car. I always took my Bible because I knew if he was going to be gone for an hour, I would keep sticking quarters into the meter. And I was just reading my word and I’m so glad. Now I look back and I say, thank you, Father. I’m so glad that I had that time with you. And this one pastor was saying, do your giving while you’re living so you’re knowing where it’s going. I like that. Do your giving while you’re living so you’re knowing where it’s going. Absolutely. Because when you die, you don’t know where your money is going to go. Even though you say, you know, well, I’ve got my will all done and taken care of. But what are they going to do with the money that you spent your life building up for them? Yeah, we have to think about that once in a while. They may waste it all on betting or on horse racing or stocks and all that thing. But hopefully your children, when you die, when you go to be with the Lord, they will do things that are honorable. for you thank you lord our memory verse for this week is john 17 17 yep i’m in the book of john it’s beautiful sanctify them in the truth thy word is truth you think the bible is a book that you can read about good stories bible is just truth after truth after truth and we can receive so much in this day and age as they did thousands of years ago. That behavior of ours is just very normal. When you get angry, when you get frustrated, when you get scared, I mean, it’s the same kind of emotion that they experienced. And I’m going to be talking about that in Daniel here. uh also the message translation of john 17 it’s 16 and 17. i’m not asking that you take them out of the world and he’s praying to the father god right here i’m not asking that you take them out of the world but that you guard them from the evil one they are no more defined by the world than i am defined by the world Make them holy, consecrated, sanctified with the truth. Your word is consecrating truth. In the same way that you gave me a mission in the world, I give them a mission in the world. And friend, I really want you to see your purpose in this world. Many of you may think, I wish I had a ministry. You do. Where you are is a ministry. God may have called you to your family, to your workplace, to even if you’re a bus driver, seeing those people come on the bus every day and being able to pray for them. Oh, that’s such a great, great thing. So don’t feel like you need to have people sitting in front of you to have a ministry or go to some country in the world to have a true ministry. Your ministry is where God has put you. And that’s your purpose in life. So I hope that you’re. gaining some real peace in your life by saying, thank you, Father. I accept what you have given to me as a ministry for you. It’s a wonderful thing to know that where you are, God is so happy with where you are. There are times when we think that no one understands what we’re going through and no one has gone through what we’re going through. Oh, I used to have that self-pity hanging all over me. If I’m being honest with you, I’ve come to a place in my life where I don’t compare myself to anyone else. Not anymore. I used to, even with envy, see the neighbor’s home and the new car in the driveway and be so envious and jealous. Oh, my goodness. God has done such a work. And probably if you look at yourself, you’re like, Oh, boy, Lord, you have really done a work in me. Oh, we are all created with God’s beautiful mind and heart. Oh, there’s no one like him. None. No one ever, ever in the whole universe. He is here today, yesterday, today and forever. He is God. And we are created with his wonderful mind and heart. And not one person on this earth is the same as anyone else. So why should we worry that no one understands or knows what we’re going through? God is the one who really matters. He’s the one who will bring that peace and truth into your life. Paul was going through a transition in which he was letting go of what people thought of him. Here are some criticisms of people who heard him speak. And he’s talking about it in 2 Corinthians 10, verse 9. It’s really cool. I hadn’t noticed it before, but yeah. Some people said his letters were stern. Some people said he was not impressive at all. And others said, oh, he’s a poor speaker. So he had, how can you say that of Paul? He wrote almost two thirds of the New Testament, but people will be people and people judge at what they see and what they hear. And that’s that old fleshly pride that tries so desperately to show itself better than anybody else. So you’re trying to show everybody and including yourself, you’re trying to prove that you are better. We don’t have to do that, friend. We don’t have to prove that we’re better. No, God is our teacher who grades us. And boy, does he grade us on a beautiful scale. And Paul goes on to say in 2 Corinthians 10, of course, we wouldn’t dare to put ourselves in the same class or compare ourselves with those who rate themselves so highly. They compare themselves to one another and make up their own standards to measure themselves by. And then they judge themselves by their own standards. What self-delusion. That’s what he’s saying here in 2 Corinthians 10. What self-delusion. They measure themselves by themselves. Well, that’s what you see in Hollywood. That’s what you see in this world. Guys getting together with guys that make the same amount of money every year or or dress the same. Yeah, you see that all over. Well, Jesus himself went through every conceivable situation that we go through. And in his emotions, he has experienced it all. We have a Savior who has endured on our behalf to go through every human emotion so that we can hold fast our confidence and our confession when we say, I am the righteousness of God in Christ. That is truth from 2 Corinthians 5.21. He has made us righteous before God the Father. He doesn’t want us going through our days miserable, but actually the total opposite when we give everything to him. The writer of Hebrews writes in Hebrews 4.15 and 16, for we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses but one who has been tempted in all things as we are yet without sin let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need So then he’s gone through all this for us. He paid it on the cross for us. And Jesus is the one that you look to, not other people. They may sympathize with you, but do not benefit you in the things that really matter. peace and joy in the midst of trials. And Jesus is the one that took it all. His mercy covers all of our sins. God’s mercy has made it available. See, the bad that we deserved, Jesus took on himself. So I am so grateful today. So if you want to see that, you can go to November, the the newsletter and click on November and you can read that but I’d like to read it to you here he knows all about you and he loves you that’s the title and the door of the room was open as I walked in in my dreams as I drew near the wall facing me files of all different kinds caught my attention One file that caught my eyes was Girls I Have Liked. I opened it and began flipping through the cards, realizing that I recognized the names written on each one. This dream had brought me to a crude catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of every moment of my past in a detail my memory couldn’t match. A sense of wonder and curiosity coupled with horror stirred within me as I began randomly opening files. Some brought joy and sweet memories and others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching. A file named Friends was next to one marked Friends I Have Betrayed. The titles ranged from mundane to outright weird. Books I have read, lies I have told, comfort I have given, jokes I have laughed at, things I have said in my anger, things I have muttered under my breath at my parents. This is a lifelong catalog of his life. I was amazed and overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each of these thousands of cards? Each card confirmed this truth, written in my own handwriting. When I pulled out the file marked TV shows I have watched, the cards were packed tightly, yards and yards of them without finding the end. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows, but more by the vast time I had devoted to TV watching. When I came to a file marked lustful thoughts, I felt a chill run through my body. I felt sick and angry to think that such a moment had been recorded. One thought dominated my mind. No one must ever see these cards. No one must ever see this room. I have to destroy them. In insane frenzy, I yanked the file out. I had to empty it and burn the cards. But when I tried to dislodge a card, it was as strong as steel. Defeated and helpless, I returned the card to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh. And then I saw it. The title bore People I Have Shared the Gospel With. The handle was brighter than those around it, almost unused. When I pulled on the handle, a small box, not more than three inches long, fell into my hands. No one must ever, no one must ever, ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key. You see, that’s the shame that the enemy puts on us. God help us. As I pushed away the tears, I saw him. No, please, not him. Anyone but Jesus. I watched helplessly as he began to open the files and read the cards. Why did he have to read every one? Finally, he walked over and put his arm around me. He could have said so many things, but he didn’t say a word. He just cried with me. Walking back to the file of cards, he began to sign his name over mine on each card. No, I shouted, rushing to him. All I could say was no as I pulled the card from him. His name shouldn’t be on these cards, but there it was, written in rich dark red, the name of Jesus covered mine, written with his blood. Taking the card, he began to sign all the cards. I don’t think I’ll ever understand how he did it so quickly, but he signed every card. And in the last instant, I heard him close the last vial, walk back to my side, and place his hand on my shoulder, saying, It is finished. It is finished, friend. It is finished. All that Jesus did on the cross is finished. And it was finished for you. Isn’t that beautiful? Oh, he wants you to have that peace today, that wonderful calmness of spirit and soul. He wants you to know of that. Here’s John.

SPEAKER 01 :
Oh, it’s beautiful. It’s beautiful. He’s talking about the Prince of Peace. He’s talking about Jesus. And we can’t go, as believers, we can’t go through a moment of time without thinking of our Savior and Lord. That’s when we really see abundance. That’s when we really see victory. That’s when we really see overcoming in this world. when we realize it’s all in Jesus. In Jesus, we have wisdom from God, redemption, sanctification, and righteousness. Oh, that precious peace is often elusive. It is. And I think I’m going to talk a there it’s there for us sometimes our emotions take over and we’re shaking like a leaf or we’re really scared and it’s it’s that calm assurance that jesus wants us to have and bring us into that realm of perfect rest when those things around us seem to just be flying all over out of control and when i was reading about daniel last week and i realized that this wise man became fearful at times I will read some of his experience as a captive in Babylon, and I’ll read the majority of it tomorrow, but I’ll start in Daniel 10. We only have a couple minutes left. Here’s Daniel. He’s a captive in Babylon. He’s gone through four different kings’ reigns. as they have reigned Babylon first and then overtaken by Persia and Medes and other countries. And then here came Darius. And so Daniel says, as soon as the angel began to speak to me, I fell unconscious with my face to the ground as in a coma. Probably if we saw an angel, if we actually saw an angel. We’d drop our jaw and we’d go, I can’t believe I’m seeing an angel. And then I felt a powerful hand grip me and help me to my hands and knees. I was trembling with fear. He’s trembling with fear now. So he’s as in a coma. He’s trembling with fear. He said, and the angel and it’s Gabriel said, Daniel, you are greatly loved and a precious treasure to God. That’s what he’s saying to you. He’s saying that to you today. Holy Spirit is saying you are greatly loved and a precious treasure to God. Now stand up and understand the words I’m about to say, for God has sent me to you. And I believe that as the Holy Spirit is pouring out revelation knowledge onto the church and the body of Jesus Christ, you’re receiving some of that message today. And we need to go forth with that revelation that he’s giving to us. So here’s Daniel. He said, I rose to my feet, shaking like a leaf. We’re going to continue that tomorrow because here’s another sign that he was scared, shaking like a leaf. I know I have at times been shaking. I haven’t been able to write because I’ve been shaking.
