Good morning. Praise the Lord. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherry Campbell. And there you will see this book called The Story of God’s Glorious Plan for a Man, along with the other books that I have written. Now join me in our live service for the beginning of this message, The Story of the Glory. Tonight, I want to share this message. It’s one of my favorites called the story of the glory, the story of the glory and subtitled God’s plan for man. And it’s really a look at how and why God created man and for what purpose. And so we can really see a better picture of what God had for us in mind for us, what he had planned for us. Amen. Amen. And so I start back at the very, very beginning and before the beginning of the Bible. And so to go before the beginning of the Bible, you actually use a little bit of imagination. But we do have some facts and scripture that we base it on, not just total wild. We know that God always was. God had no beginning. God began the beginning. In the beginning, God was always. And so God was before time began. And then if we were to think about it, what did God maybe make first? Well, it seems that the angels were around because Satan had already fallen by Genesis chapter three. So in Genesis three, Satan is a fallen angel already kicked out of heaven, already lost his place. And what do you mean fallen and kicked out of heaven? Well, we have other scriptures that talk about before he fell. For example, I believe it was Isaiah 14 verses 12 through 16. Oh, Lucifer, how you have fallen. And there are other scriptures in the Bible, Ezekiel and Isaiah, that show that before he fell, he was actually one of God’s archangels. Let me just take you there. Let’s not just take my word. Let’s read it. Go to Isaiah chapter 14. I want you to see this. This is important. And so what I’m wanting you to see is that the angels were around God. And Satan had already fallen by Genesis 3. So this had had to happen prior to Genesis 3. And so we don’t know exactly the timing, but we can know that it happened before. So Isaiah 14, verses 12 through 15. How you have fallen from heaven… And now this next line depends on your translation. Some say, oh, Lucifer or oh, morning star. You have a Lucifer King James. King James says, oh, Lucifer. Now, Lucifer was Satan’s name when he was in heaven before he fell, when he was one of God’s archangels. His name was Lucifer. Oh, Lucifer, son of the dawn. You have been, so it’s already done, cast down to the earth. To where? To the earth. I asked the Lord one time, God, why did you cast Satan to the earth and then put man on earth? I mean, didn’t you just put man right into a trap? Why didn’t you put Satan? You know, some penalties are to put him way out on the farthest edge of the universe on an isolated desert planet and make him just live there by himself forever. You know, that would have been a good idea, I think. And we would have never been tempted. Right? I said, why did he put Satan on the earth and then man? I mean, we put man right into a trap. Well, he said, because I wanted man to have a choice. I wanted man to have a choice. And if there’s only one, there’s no choice. You know, it used to be only AT&T. Remember those days, only AT&T, you’re stuck with it. Now you’ve got Sprint and Verizon and who knows how many all other companies that sell telephone service. So, but when there’s only one, if it’s only AT&T, there’s no choice. But now you can choose AT&T, Sprint or Verizon. Well, God put himself in man’s face and he actually allowed Satan to come into man’s face. Why? Because God wanted man to have a choice. Because if there’s no choice, there’s not any true commitment or decision. It’s just like, well, I got to do this. And he wanted man to have a choice. So he wanted man to choose God and have an alternative as well. And I think that is really great. So that when we do choose him, we have actually chosen against this world. And we have chosen God over this world. So you have been cast down to the earth. You who once laid low the nations… You said in your heart, I will ascend. We talked about the teaching on pride and humility. Pride is self-exaltation. Pride is the first sin of Satan and pride was the first sin of man. I will ascend to heaven. I will raise my throne above the stars of God. I will sit enthroned on the Mount of Assembly on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain and I will ascend above the tops of the clouds. Now notice this next line. I will make myself like the most high. Is that what the King James says? The same? I will be like. And particularly notice, Mark, if you want to, the words like the most high. Okay. Like the most high, I will make myself or I will be like the most high verse 15, but you are brought down. Ha ha ha devil. You’re brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit. So we know Satan, this all happened before God made Adam and Eve. This happened way before. We don’t know when in eternity past. And so back to our story, we know God was at the very beginning and he began the beginning. But somewhere after that, he made angels. And we don’t have any idea how much time of eternity all the angels worshipped him in unison. And then we don’t know exactly when Satan rebelled. And it is believed that he brought a third of the angels with him out of heaven, according to a scripture in Revelation. One third fell with Satan and rebelled against God. And so then there was the great fall of a third of the heavenly host. We don’t know when that happened, but it was before the Bible BB. And then we know that somewhere God, Genesis one, God created the heavens and the earth. And then God made the firmament above the earth. And then he made the plants. And, you know, there we get the law of seed time and harvest because he said, let there be seed. Let’s go back and read it. Genesis 1 verse 11. Then God said, let the land produce vegetation, seed bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it according to their kind. And it was so. So God produced or brought forth plants with seeds according to their kinds. And then God said, let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night and let them serve to mark seasons and days and years and the greater light for the day, the lesser light for the night. That’s the sun and moon. So it’s really interesting, though, to think the sun and the moon are made on the fourth day and light came on the first day. Have you ever thought about that? Light is on the first day and then four days later come the sun and the moon. So God was lighting up the world with his own glory. That’s it. He was lighting the world. Exactly. In heaven, there’s no need for the sun or the moon because the lamb is the lamp. And that’s the way it is in heaven. There’s no need for a sun and moon because God’s light lights it up. Well, I believe that’s the light that he brought forth out of himself and released his light on his creation. for those first three days, and then he made a physical, natural sun and moon to produce light. But he was the original light for all of his creation. And then he made the water with the living creatures in the water, and then the birds flying in the air. And then in verse 24, let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds. livestock and creatures that move on the ground and wild animals. So then God created all the animals. And then on the sixth day, God said, let us make man in our image and our likeness. So he made man as the last. He made man as the last of his creation. That’s significant. We’ll talk about that in a minute. He made man as the last of his creation. And so let’s go back to talking about, for example, how he made the animals. Well, how he made everything we know is by words, right? He created by the power of his spoken word. So he spoke and he said, light be and light was. But when it came like to the animals, let me take this example. Let’s say he’s making a dog. He has an image in his mind or a picture of what he wants this dog to look like. So if he makes a cocker spaniel, he makes it with long droopy ears, soft, shorter hair, four legs, one snout, two ears, and a tail. And so he creates this dog, but where was that dog born? How did he see that dog? It was, he saw the image and we would say in the imagination, right? The image comes in the imagination. So he’s seeing it in his mind or his spirit, actually soul and spirit connected. And he’s seeing this picture of this dog and okay, I’m going to make a dog like this and it’s going to look like this long ears, four legs, you know, and then he creates it and it looks exactly like what he said and what he imagined. So where was the picture in his mind? The picture was in his mind. The image was in his mind. This is what I want to make. And it’s up here. I can see it in my mind. And now I’m going to make what I want. But when God made man, he had a different plan. When God made man, he had a different plan. And this time he does not have a picture or an image in his imagination. Instead, let’s read Genesis 1 verse 26. Then God said, let us, and right there, us, again, is confirming the Trinity. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Us. Plural. Let us make man in our image. So where was the image? He was. Was the image. What you just heard was the beginning of a message that I preached in one of our victorious faith services called the story of the glory. And we will continue this message again tomorrow. So join me again tomorrow. And remember, God loves you. You are blessed and highly favored by the Lord.
