Angie’s broadcasting career in both national TV and radio spans over 20 years in the major broadcast markets of Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Denver.
Starting in April 2018, Angie joined with co-host Mike Opelka (TheBlaze Radio) to launch the Angie Austin & Mike Opelka Show – heard nationally Monday through Friday 6:00-9:00 a.m. (EST) over the radio airwaves, and also on demand on the Genesis Communications Network.
In 2014, Angie became the host of the national morning radio magazine USA Radio Network’s Daybreak USA.
In 2012, she saw the need for a radio program that provided listeners with more uplifting content than normal talk radio offered. So, she created the nationally broadcast radio program The Good News with Angie Austin, a weekday program that continues today.
Angie became the morning anchor of Daybreak for KWGN-TV (CW) in Denver, CO, beginning in 2001. Before KWGN, she was morning anchor for XETV-TV (FOX) in San Diego, CA, and weather anchor and an assignment editor for KNBC-TV (NBC) in Los Angeles, CA. She then worked as a segment producer and assignment editor for the nationally syndicated TV magazine EXTRA in Los Angeles, CA, and after that, she was the weather forecaster for KEYT-TV (ABC) in Santa Barbara, CA.
