SPEAKER 02 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherry Campbell. This morning, I’m going to continue sharing with you a message that I preached in one of our Victorious Faith services called The Story of the Glory. So join me now in our live service for the continuation of this message, The Story of the Glory. Oh, wow. I mean, they’re just seeing all these lights and colors light up the universe. And then they’re watching. Okay, now God makes the heavens. And that’s what it says in Psalm 8, 3. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars. I’m looking at all this. Wow. Wow. And then God comes down to the earth and then he puts on the earth the plants and then he puts the birds and the fish and then he puts all the livestock and the bears and the giraffes and the zebras and the horses and the elk and the deer. And then he comes down to man. Very, very, very last of all. Now, let me give you an example. When you are getting things ready and somebody is watching you and knowing you’re making things really special and you’re making things look really pretty. It’s like somebody comes in, maybe someone who knows you real well. Why are you repainting this bedroom? Why did you move a baby crib in there? Why are all these teddy bears laying around? What is this? Are you… What’s the next word? Are you expecting… Are you expecting a baby crib, teddy bears, baby clothes laid out, the walls painted in pastel colors, you know, diaper bags sitting there ready? Are you expecting? What is this? You are making all these things ready. You make preparation in advance of someone special coming. Now, what did God make last? man. So everything else made before man was preparation. And so that means God made the heavens, the moon and the stars for man. And you know, don’t people, I had to get reminded of that word again. What is that thing? They hang over the crib mobile. And what do they sometimes put on their stars and a little shape of a moon or it could be a giraffe or a teddy bear And so that that little baby looks up and sees all of that and coos and giggles and gurgles, looking up at this mobile of stars and moon and giraffe and teddy bears. And they look up at that and it was made and put there first so that they could look up. And then why did God put the stars in the sky? So the sky is our mobile. It’s just like over a baby crib. That God put the stars and the moon and the sun and the galaxies up there for us to go out there and go, ooh. Just like a baby cooing over that beautiful thing. And so it’s like an angel is saying, God, why are you putting a crib in here? Why did you get these teddy bears and the diaper bag? What is going on, God? And then… What is man that you are so mindful of him? When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you’ve set in place. What is this man? What is this man? You are so mindful of this man. Why? Because you put all that there for him. You’re mindful of him. That’s why that’s there. That’s why the moon and the stars are there. What is this man? You’re so mindful of him. So it can’t be a man asking the question. It’s got to be someone else asking this question about man. What is man? You’re so mindful that you put all this moon and stars out there for him. And it had to be an angel. It had to be an angel who is contemplating and wondering about what God is doing. He’s watching him build this universe and the galaxies and the moon and the stars. He watches him put vegetation on the earth and makes it all lush and green in the Garden of Eden. And he watches him make flowing waters. And he watches them make birds that will fly the sky, fish that will swim the water, and then the animals on the earth and the beautiful horses and the deer and the gazelles that will run around. And then last of all, God says, okay, now I’m ready. Let us make man in our image, in our likeness. Whoo. Hallelujah. Isn’t that awesome? Isn’t that awesome? So God made man in his image and he made everything else first for him, getting it all ready, getting that baby room ready, getting the crib ready, getting the mobile ready. And so that when he brings man in, this is all for you. This is all for you. Hallelujah. Praise God. Praise God. Praise God. And so we see that God made man in his own image and in his own what likeness. Now I want to jump on that word for a minute. Do you remember in Genesis chapter three, Satan came in a serpent and spoke to Eve and he said, did God say? So of course, Satan will always challenge everything God says. Did God say, if you eat this fruit, you’ll die? She said, yes. God said, if we eat, if you even touch it, we will surely die. Well, she added on to God’s words. God didn’t say anything about touch. He just said, don’t eat it. But then Satan countered that and he will always counter God. And he said, no, let me let you turn there. Go to Genesis three. He said, that’s not right. Verses four and five. Verses 4 and 5. You will, what? You will not surely die, the serpent said to the woman. For God knows that when you eat of it, your eyes will be opened. And I don’t have time to explain that. But what’s the next line? Yep, yep, yep. Say that again. You will be, what’s the next word? Like God. Like God. Like, like you will be like God. She already was. God said, let us make man in our image and in our likeness. She was already in his likeness. She was like God. And Satan said, you will be like God. And the Lord showed me this when I was reading that one time years ago. He said, if Satan can make you forget who you are in Christ. And what you have in Christ, he can take it from you. If you forget you are the righteousness of God in Christ and you will not live in it. If you forget you are healed in Christ, you will not live in it. If you forget you’re blessed in Christ, you will not live in it. Satan can steal from you anything you forget you have been given. And she, through the deception and through pride, and when we talked about pride, we saw that pride will deceive you and pride will blind you. So through deception and pride, she forgot she was already the likeness of God. And by disobedience, she lost it. By disobedience, she lost it. But I want to key in on that word like again. You will be like God. Remember Isaiah 14, 12. And I told you to underline a certain phrase. I will ascend above the clouds and I will make myself what? Like the most high. Satan always wanted to be like God. And he couldn’t. And God said, no, you won’t. Gave him a boot and kicked him right out of heaven down to the earth. You will not be like God. And then right after that, God goes and he says, okay, let us make man in our image, in our likeness. Satan said, I already tried to get that position. How come you didn’t let me have it? And now you’re making man in your image and in your likeness. So God gave to man what Satan wanted. God gave to man what Satan wanted, the image and likeness of God. And so as soon as man was created in the image and likeness of God to be like God, Satan, you could say, was filled green with envy. Green with envy. Because there is a man who has what I want. And then Satan set out on a path to get it. A path to take it away from the man and get it for himself. And so Satan wanted what man was given, but he could not have it. But through pride and sin and disobedience, man lost it. Well, so then Satan took man away from God. And we have to, you know, I hear a tape and you fast forward. You hear that fast forwarded tape, right? All the way 2,000 years later and Christ came. I’m going to have to summarize the next two things, but I’ve taught them in depth in other series. I said four things that God gave to man. The next one was authority and dominion to rule. And that’s Genesis 126. God said, let us make man in our image and likeness. Let them have authority and dominion. So God gave man authority to rule over the earth. They also lost that. They lost it when they sinned. And then Satan became the God of this world. And then in Genesis 128, God blessed them and said, be fruitful and multiply. So God gave them the blessing. Number three. So number one, he gave them position, high position. Number two, God gave them authority to rule over the earth. They lost their high position. Oh, let me go back. For all have sinned and what? Fallen. So man fell, fell, fell. They were just below God, but man fell, fell, fell, fell below the angels, fell, fell, fell below the fallen angels, fell, fell, fell even below the animals so that an animal can kill a man. A bear has power over a man to maul and kill and destroy. A lion can tear a man apart. So animals, it’s actually not to do with authority. Man lost all authority. And it was just strength and power that a lion and a bear could kill a man. So man fell way down, losing all of his authority, lost his position, lost his authority. And then number three in Genesis 128, God blessed them. So he blessed them. And we’ve taught before on the blessing. It is the anointing to multiply, be fruitful, increase, fill the earth. That’s the power of the blessing. When Jesus took the loaves of bread and the fish in his hands, it says he blessed them. What did he do? He released multiplication anointing. Multiply, and those loaves of bread and fish multiplied. So it is a multiplying, increasing anointing to just keep expanding and expanding and increasing until they fill the whole earth.
