On this episode of the Kim Monson Show, we delve deep into the complexities of government control spanning essential services like transportation, education, and housing. Understand how these regulations impact our freedoms and the underlying forces at play in politics today. We also examine the case of Tina Peters and advocate for her release, highlighting the role of compassion and fairness in the justice system and calling on leaders to show kindness and extend mercy.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s the Kim Monson Show, analyzing the most important stories.
SPEAKER 19 :
The socialization of transportation, education, energy, housing, and water. What it means is that government controls it through rules and regulations.
SPEAKER 06 :
The latest in politics and world affairs.
SPEAKER 19 :
Under this guise of bipartisanship and nonpartisanship, it’s actually tapping down the truth.
SPEAKER 06 :
Today’s current opinions and ideas.
SPEAKER 19 :
On an equal field in the battle of ideas, mistruths and misconceptions is getting us into a world of hurt.
SPEAKER 06 :
Is it freedom or is it force? Let’s have a conversation.
SPEAKER 19 :
Indeed. Let’s have a conversation. And welcome to the Kim Monson Show. Thank you so much for joining us. You’re each treasured, you’re valued, you have purpose. Today, strive for excellence. Take care of your heart, your soul, your mind, and your body, my friends. We were made for this moment in history. And thank you to the team. That’s Producer Joe, Luke, Rachel, Zach, Echo, Charlie, Mike, Teresa, Amanda, and all the people here at Crawford Broadcasting. Happy Monday, Producer Joe. Happy Monday, Kim. And Joe, it is another Fasten Your Seatbelt Day. We’ve got a big show planned for all of you, so stay tuned. As you know, we’re on all KLZ 560 platforms. This first hour is rebroadcast 1 to 2 in the afternoon, second hour 10 to 11 at night. Then the show will be, the podcast will be on my website as well as Spotify and iTunes. And I do thank all of you who support us. We are an independent voice, and we search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. And it’s never compassionate to take other people’s stuff via rights. their rights, their property, freedom, livelihood, opportunity, childhood, or lives via force. Force could be a weapon, policy, unpredictable and excessive taxation, fear, coercion, government-induced inflation, the world economic forum, and the globalist agenda, which is playing out all the way down to municipal governments. And that is why we need to shed light on this, and we’ll be talking about this whole altruistic thing, this whole… These headlines regarding the Somali community, the bilking of the American taxpayer by Somalis and others in Minnesota is going to really shows that under the guise of altruistic helping refugees coming in. to the country, which we have a big heart for that, that actually it opened up an opportunity to steal from the American taxpayer that they drove a truck through. And so we will continue to talk about that. Remember, if something is a good idea, you should not have to use force to implement it. And socialism is not about free stuff, because you can’t give somebody something that you haven’t taken from somebody else. So government can’t give something to the quote-unquote Somali feeding the children charity without taking money from somewhere else. And that somewhere else is the American taxpayer and also future Americans because there’s been an enormous amount of debt that’s been incurred as well that will have to be paid off. And so remember, socialism ultimately has to come down to force. And again, something’s a good idea. You should not have to use force to implement it. And as we get into all of this, I thank all of you for your support of the show. And also check out the website. And at the website, there is the petition to… Call upon Governor Jared Polis to release Tina Peters by Christmas Eve. And we’re going to talk more about that in the second segment. But you can find that and sign the petition. That petition is coming in to me. And so it’s not an outside source and would encourage you to sign that and also make sure you’re signed up for our weekly email newsletter. So you know what’s happening at the Kim Monson Show website. who the upcoming guests are, as well as our most recent essays. I do thank the Harris family for their goal sponsorship of the show, and Susan Harris and her family just really are great friends of the show, and Susan is a great friend of mine as well. Our word of the day is languish, and it is spelled L-A-N-G-U-I-S-H. It’s an intransitive verb. And number one, it could be to become weak or feeble, to lose strength or vigor. Number two, it could be to exist or continue in miserable or disheartening conditions. And number three, to remain unattended or to be neglected. And I chose the word languish because after speaking with John Case, who is Tina Peter’s attorney, and Linda Good, who is the paralegal on the case, I realize that Tina Peters is languishing in the La Vista Correctional Facility in Pueblo. And it is important. She needs to get medical care. She’s a cancer survivor. There’s concerns that this cancer may be rearing its ugly head again. And she needs to have medical care for that. Additionally, her 97-year-old mother is in the hospital. And I think it would be very compassionate to let her visit her mother as well. So she’s languishing in this facility, and that’s why I chose the word languish. Our quote of the day is, and I’m calling upon Governor Polis to exhibit mercy and compassion and kindness. So I was looking for kindness quotes, and I found this one from Oprah Winfrey. And she was born in 1954. She’s an American talk show host, television producer, actress, author, and media proprietor. She’s best known for her talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, which broadcasts from Chicago. It ran in syndication for 25 years. Globally, she’s the richest black woman and the wealthiest female celebrity. She’s dubbed the queen of all media. She was the richest black American of the 20th century and was once the world’s only black billionaire. By 2007, she was often ranked as the most influential woman in the world. And she said this, and I think this woman of the left saying to a man of the left, Governor Jared Polis, and this comes from Oprah Winfrey to Jared Polis, to extend yourself in kindness to anybody is an extension in kindness in the world. And again, that is Oprah Winfrey. This show comes to you again because of our sponsors. And Hooters Restaurants has locations in Loveland, Westminster, and in Aurora. And really delicious specials. I love their nachos. And those special lunch specials are Monday through Friday. And Wednesdays they have Wings Day. You buy 20 wings, you get an additional 10 for free. And that’s for to-go or to dine in. And I do thank Hooters Restaurants for their sponsorship, how I got to know them. It is a very important story about freedom and free markets and capitalism and PBIs that are wanting to control our lives. And so definitely appreciate them for all they do. So probably the biggest headline that I wanted to hit is this whole thing with what’s happening in Minnesota. And let’s see here. Let me get over here to the different headlines I wanted to mention to you. First thing, Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar scrambles to deny links to the $1 billion Feeding Our Future heist. And this is from the Tampa Free Press. And it says that she’s facing intense scrutiny over allegations that individuals in her orbit were key players in a massive scheme to defraud American taxpayers. During a segment on Face the Nation, the Minnesota Democrat tried to brush off claims from the Treasury Secretary that people tied to her campaign were involved in the Feeding Our Future scandal, which was a brazen theft of over $1 billion in COVID-19 relief funds. If you ever saw Les Miserables and the couple that was the, I guess in a way the guardians, and now I’m drawing a blank on… names in there, but anyway, that song where they’re in the bar and they’re talking about how they’re bilking others, and this is just kind of what this looks like to me, is these fraudsters that are, look over here while we’ve got our hand in your pocket, and that seems to be what’s been going on there in Illinois. So next thing is that the next headline is from Fox News. And gosh, I hate this one. The computer has frozen up. Hold on just a second. I had all these headlines for you. And okay, then we’ll go to the next one. And that is, oh, I had all this set up. This is so frustrating, my friends. Okay. This is from Just the News. It says, illegal Somali migrant with fraud convictions allegedly is tied to Minnesota Democrats. And so you can see that there is a web that is going on in Minnesota, and they’ve been bilking the American taxpayer and padding their pockets. And this is PBIs, politicians, bureaucrats, and interested parties. And these important discussions happen because of our sponsors, and I’m blessed to work with amazing people. Roger, I see signs as I’m driving around that says that you’re supposed to have car insurance. And then I also saw a headline that I think Jared Polis said he was concerned about the price of car insurance in Colorado and the state of Colorado should do something about it. What’s going on?
SPEAKER 20 :
Well, you know, politics… runs rampant sometimes statements are made that shouldn’t be let me let me address it this way in colorado we are in a state where a company like state farm files a rate increase and then we use that rate increase we don’t get permission from the state of colorado when we file a rate we use the rate we file if it’s egregious there could be some pushback but generally speaking competition determines what rate we will charge as a company in Colorado. California, for example, you have to go through the insurance commission and get approval. We do not need approval in Colorado. So is that good or bad? Well, I think if State Farm, for example, got out of line with their rates, we would start losing business and we would adjust our premiums accordingly. So that brings me to an interesting intersection here. State Farm, effective business. December 12th, December 15th, excuse me, we are taking, for the first time in probably 10 years, a rate reduction. And that rate reduction on new business, now this is new business, we’re taking a 16% rate reduction. Existing business, we’re taking a 9% rate reduction. I think that’s effective the 15th of January. So here is a… And this is on car insurance? Car insurance, yeah. Great news for the consumer out there. If you’re with State Farm, you’re going to get a significant decrease in your rates at renewal. And if you are not with State Farm, please give us a call. We’d love to give you a quote with a 16% reduction in auto insurance. But getting back to your question, when politicians get involved in regulating corporations in terms of what they can charge… That creates a very combative situation. The government has really, as far as we are concerned on the corporate side, no right making a determination what we need to charge to keep our business solvent. We don’t want the government telling us what we can charge and not charge. So competition does that, and here’s an example of it with these rate reductions going on in the next 30 days in Colorado.
SPEAKER 19 :
So, but in California, with government involved in that, then a friend of mine said normally when government gets involved, the price goes up, the supply goes down, and the quality decreases. Do you think that’s occurred in California or what?
SPEAKER 20 :
Oh, absolutely. I mean, State Farm, for example, in California, we’ve… basically frozen any new, we will not write new homeowners insurance in California because we cannot charge enough to cover the cost with everything that goes on in California when we have a claim. So State Farm has put a lid on what we can write. We’re keeping what we have, but we are not expanding that so that the consumer is left with fewer and fewer companies to choose from. And so having the government involved It depends on your political philosophy, I guess. If you want to live in a state where it’s controlled by the government, then it doesn’t exist here. And it works. Free competition works very well here in Colorado.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, you think about it in California. So the business is frozen. So no new business. So somebody finally saved up enough money and they’re going to get a home. Mm-hmm. But then they don’t have as many choices for insurance for their home because government over here has put in rules, regulations, fees, whatever, that ultimately takes people’s choices away. And I don’t think people connect that dot all the time. And it’s important that they do so.
SPEAKER 20 :
Yeah, I would agree 100%, Kim. It’s important. So if you have a home in California and you don’t like what your current insurance carrier is charging you, you really have no ability to move anyplace else because those other companies have also put a lid on how many new insureds they want to take and insure. So it really just destroys competition across the landscape. And you are not in a position where you can use your leverage to go get a better rate someplace else because there isn’t a better rate anyplace else.
SPEAKER 19 :
And it’s because government is involved in that. Roger, this is so important to understand this. These are great conversations for a complimentary appointment for people here in Colorado and to talk with your team about insurance coverage. They may be able to save some money if they bundle things together. What’s that number? That number is 303-795-8855. And like a good neighbor, the Roger Mangan team is there.
SPEAKER 07 :
April 26, 1777. Colonel, the British are raiding Danbury and burning the town. I’ll go tell them. Sixteen-year-old Sybil Ludington mounted her horse and rode 40 miles through night and pouring rain. That’s twice the distance of Paul Revere to sound the alarm.
SPEAKER 17 :
Quickly. Assemble at my father’s house.

SPEAKER 19 :
and welcome back to the kim monson show be sure and check out our website that is kim monson m-o-n-s-o-n dot com and just make sure you’re signed up for our weekly email newsletter so uh i’ve i’ve seen uh les miserables and broadway i’ve seen it several times i listened to the soundtrack and i was drawing a blank on uh fantine’s daughter who’s cosette And so it was those that were somewhat the guardians of Cosette. And when Jean Valjean comes to fulfill his promise to Fantine and to basically become a father to Cosette, they try to figure out how they can bilk him out of money. And that just reminds me of what’s going on with all of these altruistic, PBIs. And my gosh, we’re starting to really see the effects of that. And Minnesota and this whole Somali feeding our future, a billion dollars that they have bilked, apparently or allegedly bilked the American taxpayer. And everything is quite connected. And in fact, there’s pictures of Tim Walz and Ilhan Omar with a guy that was here illegally. And this is from Just the News. Illegal Somali migrant with fraud convictions allegedly tied to multiple Minnesota Democrats. And I will tell you that certainly Republicans are not pristine in how this can all work out, but this is beyond… This is beyond just small potatoes. And these NGOs, these non-governmental entities that live off of government money, it really started in the 90s, I would say, coming out of the 80s. um probably the um um the world economic forum and so this is huge we’re at such a historical time on all of this it’s pretty pretty amazing but anyway these uh these crooks as yvonne had texted me let me just share what she said she said domestic and international crooks prey on americans noble nature and they commit fraud by means of helping the industrial complex. I think she just very well nails it right there. And it’s putting our country into enormous debt while it’s padding the pockets of these PBIs. And that’s why elections matter. We must have free, fair, honest, and transparent elections. And I would really encourage you to go to my website and sign the petition to call on Governor Jared Polis to release Tina Peters from La Vista Prison in Pueblo, Colorado. And there is a banner at the top of the website. It’s a red banner. You can just sign that. I spent a whole bunch of the weekend working on this because after Tina’s, her attorney and the paralegal, and that’s John Case, the paralegal Linda Good, were on the show on Friday. And when John was describing Tina’s health and really the treatment there, I thought, oh my gosh, we really must request that she be released. And so this is what I’ve said. I said, Governor Polis, show mercy and release Tina Peters by Christmas Eve. We as fellow human beings respectfully call upon Governor Jared Polis to release former Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Tina Peters on or before Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24th. And you can share this. You can just take that link. I’d recommend that you share it with 10 people. And you can share it with people throughout the country because Jared Polis wants to run for president. And if he sees that there are people throughout the country that are calling upon him to do this, I think that would be helpful. Now, I haven’t decided exactly how the petition will be presented. It may just be first names, because I don’t think that I need to provide last names and email addresses, but we’ll be talking more about that. And our request is this, that we as fellow human beings call upon Governor Jared Polis to exhibit kindness, compassion, and mercy to Tina Peters by granting her release. Hold on here. And today is just a real day of technology, my friends, so I apologize. Hang with me here. Number two, to release her immediately so that she may seek the medical treatment she needs, including care for possible return of cancer. Number three, allow her the opportunity to visit her hospitalized 97-year-old mother. Now, Tina was convicted of actions that she took to preserve election records, which she is required to do by federal law. And I think we all agree whether or not you are a moderate Democrat or a Republican, a conservative, an unaffiliated, a libertarian. that free, fair, honest, and transparent elections are foundational to our democratically elected constitutional republic. And what is so interesting regarding Tina’s case is that key pieces of evidence that were relevant to her case were reportedly denied. The jury was denied hearing those key pieces of evidence. Now, because of that, Tina has appealed her case. However, This is crazy. Bond has been denied during this appeal, and now she is languishing in La Vista prison in Pueblo. And the reports of the treatment are cruel and intolerant. And she’s maybe had only a traffic ticket before this whole thing. And now she is forced to share cells with hardened criminals. Now, I also thought this was super interesting. Governor Jared Polis has a long history of granting clemency during Christmastime. And according to the Colorado Sun, Governor Polis has pardoned people every year since he took office in 2019. Just last year in 2024, he issued 22 pardons and commuted the sentences of four people. And that list included two individuals convicted of murder, a rapist, and a bank robber. So we are asking, requesting, calling upon Governor Polis to exhibit the same spirit of mercy, compassion, and second chances that are being extended to Tina Peters. And so you can sign that by this petition by going to Kim Monson dot com and clicking on the red banner at the top. And that will bring that up. And then I really encourage you to share this with at least 10 other people. And we really need to put public pressure upon Jared Polis to release Tina Peters. by Christmas Eve. And the text line, if you have comments on any of this, is 720-605-0647. That’s 720-605-0647. And as we are coming in on year end and considering making some tax-deductible contributions, I would really encourage that you include the USMC Memorial Foundation as one of those places to give some of your hard-earned dollars because Paula Sarles and Mary, her whole team over there, they’re volunteers that are working diligently to take care of the Marine Memorial, which is at 6th and Colfax, and they are raising the money for, the remodel, which will be amazing. And we need to have these memorials so that we can remember and honor those that have given their lives, have been willing to give their lives for our freedom, but also so that we tell these stories and we tell these stories to the next generations. And again, that is why during the Obama and Biden Harris administrations that they were tearing down our memorials instead of talking about our history, the good, the bad and the ugly. They just wanted to tear down our history. And that’s why the work that they’re doing at the USMC Memorial Foundation is so important. So I would encourage you to make a tax tax deductible contribution. And you can do that by going to USMC Memorial Foundation dot org. And then also, I would recommend that you consider a tax deductible contribution to the Center for American Values, which is in Pueblo. And they’re doing great work honoring our Medal of Honor recipients and keeping those stories alive. where we can get inspiration from these men that took action when the situation presented itself to protect those around them. And we are called to do the same thing right now in this big battle of ideas. And so I get such courage from the Center for American Values. It is nonpolitical, it’s nonpartisan, but would highly recommend that you consider making a tax-deductible deduction to them as well. And then… Okay, this also came in from Yvonne regarding Tina Peters and the suppression of exculpatory evidence. That may have to be my word of the day, Yvonne, but I think that that is evidence that is important to the case, but it was suppressed in the Tina Peters case. So no matter what you think about that whole case, I think we as human beings have, can request the release and really call upon Jared Polis to release Tina Peters because it’s the right thing to do. It’s the kind thing to do. It’s important to show compassion and mercy, especially at Christmas time. And so again, I would encourage you to sign the petition, share it with 10 others that care about treating other human beings with compassion and mercy and kindness. And do that, and you can do that by going to kimmonson.com and click on the banner at the top, and that will get you to the place where you need to go. And these discussions happen, again, as I work with great people. And if you’re looking about changing your address, as Karen Levine says, you’ll want to reach out to REMAX Realtor Karen Levine.

He is a physician and an author. You can find him at AmericanThinker.com and Rasmussen Reports. And we’re talking about a piece that he recently published a president at full speed and a Congress asleep at the wheel. Dr. June Depth, welcome to the show.
SPEAKER 04 :
Good morning, Kim. How are you?
SPEAKER 19 :
I am doing well. And Donald Trump has been in office about just under a year. It’ll be a year in January. And you said that he’s governed with the urgency of a turnaround CEO. However, Congress is dragging their feet. So walk us through this.
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, basically, Trump has signed over 200 executive orders. And he started this on day one. Shortly after the inauguration, he was busy signing orders. And in the days that followed, he undid a lot of the Biden executive orders. And that’s great, but these need to be codified into law. Otherwise, next president comes along, if it’s a Democrat… They just signed contrary executive orders and reversed everything Trump did. They need to be codified into law by Congress. And Congress has only done so in about 13% of his executive orders.
SPEAKER 1 :
13%.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s like one in nine have been, in the past year, through the House and Senate, have been turned into law. Law is going to be there for a longer sure a democrat congress can uh… change law but that’s a much slower and more difficult process but only thirteen percent of his orders with what’s congress been doing how many judges there’s dozens of judges that remain unconfirmed ambassadors other positions that begs the issue of why so many Executive department nominees require Senate confirmation. It’s like over a thousand. No other country functions that way. Why does the Senate have to confirm all of these? And they are so slow. Most of these nominees take months, if not years, to be confirmed. And it’s conceivable that these positions remain unfilled throughout Trump’s entire term, meaning Biden holdovers are still in those positions. undermining him, sabotaging him. Congress should work a lot faster. This advise and consent, which is part of the Constitution, really should apply only to cabinet-level positions and a few others. But every ambassador, every judge, that’s ridiculous. They either should not require Senate confirmation or it should be a much faster process, because it’s taking way too long and stymieing the government. And we see the effects of judges that are defying law and tossing indictments of Letitia James, James Comey, etc. Trump needs to get his people in there, and a year has gone by. And it’s not happening, whether the nominations or the executive orders being signed into law. And my beef is that, where’s Congress? They work halftime. They work less than half the year. They’re very well paid. They have very generous benefits. And yet they’re not getting anything done. They’re busy appearing on Sunday talk shows and creating performative videos and inciting insurrection and all sorts of other stuff why aren’t they doing their jobs and they’re not being held accountable
SPEAKER 19 :
So a couple of things, Dr. June Depp. I remember the first time that I went back to Washington, D.C., I was so naive. I thought, oh, this is where America was really created. This is governing this great idea that all men are created equal with these rights from God of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. And walked around like a tourist and thought, oh, this is so great. And then I started to watch politics. And I’ve been back to Washington, D.C. several times. The last time was walking through the halls of Congress with a congressman. And I realized just what you said. It’s turned into a lot of theater and not getting the job done, not really watching out for the American people. And I was talking with someone this weekend, and even here in Colorado, I think we all say, okay, there’s politics, there’s Republicans and Democrats that work together because they want to keep the power, blah, blah, blah. And there’s political class, consulting class that in a way milk the donors so that they can keep their campaigns or their candidates so that they can make money off of that. Okay, okay. It’s past that now, Dr. June Depth. Colorado is at a place now where you can’t say, oh, it’s just politics. We’re at a place where you can abort a baby up until the time of birth, where we are doing gender mutilation on children. That is not OK. And so you look at Congress on the national level and them dilly dallying around and slow walking this agenda. And we don’t have a whole bunch of time. We’ve got the 2026 elections around the corner. And if the Democrats and if we don’t get this elections done. where we know that we have free, fair, honest, and transparent elections. In 2026, if the Democrats take either the House or the Senate, this Trump agenda that so many people think is so important to get our country back on track will be gone. Your thoughts?
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s done, absolutely. If Democrats… takeover congress well if they take over the senate his nominees are done so supreme court uh… he’ll never get a nominee uh… that’s to the right of the liberals on the court now never get them confirmed uh… just won’t happen and in the house if they take over They’re going to impeach him on day one. They’ll have a daily impeachment, and every day there’ll be an up or down vote. We’re impeaching him for this, impeaching him for that. I’m sure somebody is out there writing articles of impeachment in case that happens, and his entire last two years will be tied up defending himself. against impeachment, and the Senate will get nothing done because they’ll be holding impeachment trials. He won’t get thrown out of office, but it’s going to totally destroy his agenda, and the last two years will be a waste. And if we get a Democrat president with Democrat Congress The Supreme Court will be stacked. They’ve already promised that. Eric Holder wants 21 Supreme Court justices. That’ll rewrite the Constitution. The First and Second Amendments will go away, will become like Europe, where if you say the wrong thing or call somebody a name, you can go to jail. It’s going to be horrible. Meanwhile, Congress is dithering. They’re presiding over their own irrelevance. Certainly the Republicans are. The Democrats are just biding their time. But what are Republicans doing? And it seems to be a local and national phenomenon. The Colorado GOP is engaged in the Civil War, and nobody’s pure enough, and everybody’s a rhino, and they can’t get together on anything. And meanwhile, they’re going to lose. You divide and splinter the party like that. And we’re seeing that at a national level, too, with the Trump coalition. And you’ve got other Republicans that are trying to throw a rock in the works, Marjorie Taylor Greene and others. If they can’t unify, they’re not going to get anything done. And everybody trying to be a maverick or a hero and speaking out against the party, it’s self-defeating. I think they’re doing it for personal enrichment and to secure whatever gig they want after Congress. But it’s not helping the Republicans. It’s not helping the American people.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, and that’s why on the show, Dr. June Depp, we really try to stay out of all that personality fighting and stay to the issues because that is the only way that we are going to reclaim the country. And a point that is important to make is that this Democrat Party is not the Democrat Party of JFK or your grandpa and your grandma. And if Democrats are voting Democrat because of just party loyalty, you need to take the blinders off and really look at this agenda. And I had a friend that mentioned this to me, and this will also kind of go into our next conversation in the next segment. But they came up with the term champagne communists. And I think that that is very appropriate for this Democrat Party is the elitist there. They don’t really care about what these policies do because they think they’re going to have the power over all of us. But I thought this term champagne communist is brilliant.
SPEAKER 04 :
well it’s a good describes the old soviet union where you had the the ruling class the politburo and uh… uh… the well-connected people in the party they had their own grocery stores and and live nicely while uh… ninety five percent of the population waited in line to grocery stores that had empty shelves the party members of champagne and uh… everybody else that we pay and that was the way it was in the soviet union And that’s what these Democrats are now. They want to be part of the ruling class. And that’s plenty of examples, from Soviet Union to Cuba to even fictional stuff like The Hunger Games. It’s this two-class society with ne’er-do-well elites that are living well, and everybody else is a slave class, basically.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, and that’s where you look at policy here in Colorado. That’s where they are trying to move us, and I had a number of listeners that reached out, and we’re going to talk with different guests throughout this week, but you probably saw the clean heat regulations coming in from the PUC, the public utilities commission, which is unelected appointed basically with the approval of Jared Polis. But that’s the other thing about having these boards and commissions is then politicians are trying to, they want to maintain power over here with these boards and commissions and, But they want to be insulated from responsibility so they can blame it over on the PUC. But I’m calling it the unaffordable regulations to keep Colorados in the dark and cold. And again, you can be assured, though, that the Champaign communists will not be in the dark and cold.
SPEAKER 04 :
No, they’ll have their gas stoves and their homes will be nice and warm, but everybody else, I mean, it’s impractical. I don’t know how they’re planning to implement it, but people will have to leave the state, which they’re already doing. Colorado has net migration out, and it’s no longer the desirable place to live as it was 25 years ago when I moved here.
SPEAKER 19 :
It is absolutely heartbreaking what has happened to this beautiful state that I love. And one of the reasons is because we’ve got Republican electeds, such as in Congress, that are not taking the stand to codify many of the things that Trump has done. They’ve only done three things there that you’ve really highlighted, energy mining and land use reforms, cost efficiency, anti-waste in the bureaucracy, reduction measures, and then sweeping immigration and border security policies. Those are all good, but there’s a lot more that can be done. So button this up for us before we go to break, and then when we come back, we’re going to talk about another champagne communist.
SPEAKER 04 :
Congress needs to do its job. These executive orders need to be codified into law. It takes a vote. They have the majority. Just put these things to a vote and get them through the Senate. And if the filibuster is an issue, get rid of it, because the Democrats, when they have the opportunity, will certainly get rid of the filibuster. There’s precedent for that with Harry Reid, and it’s their own words that they will get rid of it. So if we play by one set of rules and they play by another, we’re going to lose.
SPEAKER 19 :
Just a quick question, but I always want us to stay within the Constitution, Dr. June Depp.
SPEAKER 04 :
The filibuster is not part of the Constitution, as I understand. That’s a Senate rule. And if Democrats take over the Senate, they’ve already promised to do that. Okay. So… We can play by the high-minded rules and respect the rules of the Senate, and they’re going to tear them up at the first opportunity. stack the supreme court to make porto rico states and make these few states and new senators and get rid of the electoral college these are all things they’ve talked about and once those happen it’s one party rule and and that’s it and our principles principles do find in the soviet union you know they end up in the gulag so uh… if we don’t a good fight we’re gonna lose
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, and again, Senate rules are different than the Constitution, and the Constitution is our north star on all that. We’re going to continue the discussion with Dr. June Depp. We have these because of our sponsors, and Lorne Levy can help you in 49 of the 50 states, just not New York. But if you’re moving out of New York, Lorne Levy can help you.

SPEAKER 19 :
And welcome back to The Kim Monson Show. Be sure and check out our website. That is KimMonson, M-O-N-S-O-N.com. I am talking with Dr. Brian June Depp. He is a physician and also a really thoughtful author. And you can find him at AmericanThinker.com as well as RasmussenReports.com. Dr. June Depth, sometimes we, as we’re highlighting an article that you’ve written, we get through it all in one segment. And we really did not. This piece that we were talking about regarding Donald Trump and Congress, which is titled A President of Full Speed and a Congress Asleep at the Wheel at American Thinker, was published on December 1. There is so much more there that I would really recommend that people read. Check that out. But I wanted to also talk with you about a champagne communist, and that is Joy Reid. And you published this right around Thanksgiving when Joy Reid discovers biology. So walk us through this.
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, there was an incident a month or so ago in California at Gold’s Gym where, interestingly, a black lesbian woman encountered a biologic male in the women’s locker room and she was highly offended and made a big fuss about it and instead of the gym acknowledging this uh… they revoke their membership and this went public and and newsworthy enjoy read was uh… commenting on that and saying she’d be offended that she freaked out if she uh… saw a male body parts in the uh… women’s locker room and it’s like where have you been she has been castigating Anybody that complained about this, anybody that had anything critical to say about transgenders and what they’re doing, that was a Nazi, fascist, the usual slurs that the left throws at conservatives. And it was a major turnaround for her. But I think it’s theater, and it’s… uh… kind of like the old expression of the conservative is a liberal who’s been mugged and she reacted honestly of how she would react uh… but if anybody else complained that she’d criticize them and then castigate them for being uh… uh… to a nazi or intolerant or a bigot or whatever but this is reality and then when they’re confronted with this uh… they don’t like it either but why not act that way on your on your public shows that that’s that the the hypocrisy is stunning that’s when it affects them then it becomes an issue but otherwise it’s just virtue signaling
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, and that’s really what the left has done. And speaking of virtue signaling, I’m sure you’re watching this whole thing in Minnesota with the Feeding Our Future, bilking the American taxpayer out of over a billion dollars. Virtue signaling and being altruistic. We have, with these NGOs, these non-governmental organizations that say that they’re helping people But they’re receiving all these government grants to, I have this in air quotes, fulfill their mission. I guess the mission they say is they’re going to feed children, but their mission really is, I think, to pad their pockets. This whole thing is blowing up. Have you written about this yet? I’m sure you will soon, yes?
SPEAKER 04 :
I haven’t yet, but this is not accidental. This is a concerted effort by… who knows who it’s uh… the NGOs and who’s controlling them I don’t know if this is CIA or other government agencies but they’re deliberately relocating uh… certain nationalities in certain areas in Somalians to Minnesota and uh… a lot of Middle Easterners to Dearborn Michigan and it’s to create a voting block that they elect one of their fellow countrymen to Congress and uh… then the local officials are uh… count out to them because because of the the politics and political power the mayor and the governor in minnesota uh… and rewarding them by letting them run these camps and and i hope the department of justice is going to take this seriously this is fraud on such a high level of billions of taxpayer dollars being given to uh… local Somalis there personally, and sent back to Somalia to fund al-Shabaab, the ISIS offshoot there that’s basically running the country. I was in Mogadishu recently and traveled with my son, and it’s a very interesting place. But al-Shabaab is very much in charge of the country. They run things over there, and we’re funding it with U.S. tax dollars. It’s crazy.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, and I remember, now years ago, I served on the board of Lutheran Family Services, which initially I loved the idea of a charity helping people. They helped with girls with adoption if they had an unplanned pregnancy, and they were helping refugees, which I thought it was Christians that were coming in from countries where they were being… victims and so I love that whole idea but after being on the board for six years I was on the executive board and was the liaison watching program services as I started to connect the dots when I was looking at the money and I realized that the refugee resettlement was a big money driver and the bulk of the budget was being was from government grants that’s where I was starting to connect the dots But many people don’t know is that through these programs, a number of Somalis were brought into Fort Morgan. And in fact, this was a March 16th or March 21st article from 2016. It says Somalis in Fort Morgan said they can’t assimilate without a mosque. And so this has been happening in our communities for a long time. Dr. June depth.
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, it is. It’s a slow takeover and. you know, it’s not to be xenophobic, but people come here, they have to assimilate to America. You couldn’t expect a bunch of Americans to move to Somalia and expect to have Walmart and Costco and all the things we take for granted here over there. You assimilate to the local culture, and that’s how it should be. They’re bringing their values and ways of life here and expecting us to Honor and accept that. New York City will be an interesting example with the new mayor and tenants of Sharia and mosques and you name it of how that’s treated. But that’s the expectation. You’re a guest of a country. You follow their rules. You don’t bring your own rules and expect everybody to follow that.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, and if you want to adhere to those rules of that particular country, then just stay there, right?
SPEAKER 04 :
Exactly, and reform your country. Maybe Ilhan Omar should go to Somalia and be the president of Somalia and institute reforms there and clean up the corruption and the influence of al-Shabaab. That would be a great mission for her.
SPEAKER 19 :
But it actually appears that they brought that corruption here. So Trump is trying to address it. Congress needs to do their job. Dr. June Depp, we’re out of time. I wish you a very Merry Christmas. I can’t believe it’s December. We’ll talk with you in January.
SPEAKER 04 :
Sounds great. Thanks, Kim.
SPEAKER 19 :
Okay, and our quote for the end of the show, again, this is to Governor Jared Polis to show mercy and compassion and kindness to Tina Peters and release her by Christmas Eve. Maya Angelou says, it takes courage to be kind. So my friends today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you, and God bless America. Stay tuned for hour number two.
SPEAKER 09 :
And I don’t want no one to cry. But tell them if I don’t survive.

And the show comes to you on all KLZ 560 platforms. First hour is rebroadcast 1 to 2 in the afternoon. Second hour, 10 to 11 at night. Those platforms are KLZ 560 AM, KLZ 100.7 FM. the klz website the klz app and then after that the podcasts are on my website as well as you can access them through spotify and itunes as you know we look at these issues through this lens of freedom versus force force versus freedom if something’s a good idea you should not have to force people to do it our word of the day i went to the word It’s L-A-N-G-U-I-S-H. And number one, it could be to be or become weak or feeble, to lose strength or vigor. Number two, to exist or continue in miserable or disheartening conditions. And then number three, to remain unattended or to be neglected. These first two definitions, I think, apply to what is happening to former Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Tina Peters as she is languishing in the prison in Pueblo, the La Vista facility. And after talking with her attorney, John Case, on the show on Friday, and Linda Good, the paralegal on the case, realize no matter where you are on the whole issues, and apparently there was evidence that was suppressed, or the jury was not allowed to hear that evidence in her case, and so she’s appealing it. Normally, you’d be out on bond when you are appealing that, but bond was denied for her, and one has to ask why. That’s a whole other discussion, but apparently her health is declining, She’s a cancer survivor, and she’s concerned. Apparently she has a cough, concerned that that cancer may be trying to reoccur. Her mother’s 97 years old and is in the hospital. And so the compassionate and kind and merciful thing to do would be for Governor Polis to to release her. And so we have a petition at the Kim Monson Show, which you can sign, requesting that. And you go to my website, kimmonson.com, and there’s a red banner at the top. And again, no matter where you are on the whole election issue, although we must have free, fair, honest, and transparent elections, if we’re going to preserve and conserve this great American idea that all men are created equal with these rights from God of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness, No matter where you are on where all that is, I think we as human beings can request that she be released as she is waiting the appeal on her case. And I would highly encourage you to sign the petition. and that is at kimmonson.com. And so our quote of the day, I went to Oprah Winfrey, and she said, to extend yourself in kindness to anybody is an extension in kindness in the world. So again, she’s a woman of the left. I think that this quote… We could encourage a man of the left, and that is Jared Polis, to exhibit kindness and compassion and mercy at this particular time here at Christmastime. And so again, you can sign that petition by going to my website. I want to talk with Jody Henze with Mint Financial Strategies, which they are great sponsors of the show. And we talk about freedom all the time. And your own personal financial freedom is so empowering. And Jody can help you with that. Jody Henze, welcome to the show. Thanks, Kim. Always glad to be here on a Monday morning. And appreciate it immensely. And we were talking about different things, different subjects out there. And Trump is starting these accounts for babies. Now, my foundational question, I’m thinking, gosh, is this the proper role of government? But it’s what’s occurring. So bring us up to speed on this. What is this exactly?
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, well, there’s still a lot of unknowns, but, you know, he started this Trump account in order to help children get a financial head start and to encourage long-term savings. And so it’s a pilot program. It starts in 2025, but you can’t actually set up the account until next year in 2026. And essentially, anybody that was born in 2025, and I should caveat that, any U.S. citizen born in 2025 will get $1,000 seed money that goes into an account. Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles can contribute to that account up to $5,000 each year, and it grows. And then at the age of 18, kids can use it for college. They can use it for a first-time home. They can use it to start a business. So it’s really encouraging to help kids gain some financial experience and literacy and just to give them a head start on investing.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, now, all of the reasons are so good. So the $1,000 seed money, and so could Grandpa and Grandma on one side of the family contribute $5,000, Grandpa and Grandma on the other side, or what does that look like?
SPEAKER 17 :
That’s a great question. So the contributions are limited to $5,000 total per year per kiddo. So grandpa and grandpa on each side of the family can’t contribute $5,000 each, but the total has to be $5,000, no more.
SPEAKER 19 :
Okay, so for the contribution, is that tax deductible for grandpa and grandma?
SPEAKER 17 :
It is not. So they don’t get a deduction for their contribution. It essentially kind of works like a traditional IRA, but they don’t get the deduction on the front end. However, employers can also contribute to the IRA. So, for example, your employer can contribute, and that is not considered ordinary income. And so if an employer puts money into your kiddo’s account, you don’t have to claim that as ordinary income.
SPEAKER 19 :
Boy, now that’s interesting. So now there’s no taxes on it, I imagine, until maybe the money’s taken out, yes?
SPEAKER 17 :
That’s right. So it is taxed as ordinary income, just like an IRA is when the money comes out.
SPEAKER 19 :
But for a child… Gosh, to have this in a way, it kind of reminds me of like an old savings bond. I remember when grandpa and grandma used to buy savings bonds for kids that that became real money by the time the child was 18. This is maybe a kind of sounds like a variation to that for me.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah. I mean, they say that just that original $1,000 contribution invested in a U.S. index fund, just that one contribution could be worth about $18,000 by the time the child reaches age 28. And then if the parents or family members were contributing the maximum, that could be worth about $300,000 by the time the kid turns 18 and could be worth about a million dollars if the kid keeps the account until the age of 28. So, I mean, this is real money.
SPEAKER 19 :
So, okay, that’s the next question. And that’s where you probably can really help people is, let’s say the scenario, how all that works out, having a kid know that they have $300,000 at the age of 18 may not be such a good thing because kids can blow through money. Well, human beings can blow through money pretty darn quickly. So parents would need to think about that as well.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, I mean, definitely, because there are penalties for taking the money out if you’re not using it for one of those qualified expenses and taxes. So you definitely want to partner up with somebody who knows those rules and regulations. So we can definitely help that transition at age 18. So, yeah, you don’t want a kid inheriting or taking over a million dollar account when they don’t know what to do with it.
SPEAKER 19 :
Right. OK. And then also, who directs the investments in this account?
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, the investments are very limited, so there’s only a few investment options that they can choose from, and they’re all U.S. index funds. We haven’t gotten the list yet, but it’s basically going to be like an S&P fund.
SPEAKER 19 :
Okay, okay. Jodi, just this, just your expertise on this, and I called you the other day with a question, and I have to tell you, after the phone call, I felt at peace after talking with you because it was something that had been a little concerning to me, and my gosh, there is something that’s so great about having people Somebody like you who you can call when you have a question on any of this stuff. And so how can people reach you? Because you really know your stuff.
SPEAKER 17 :

SPEAKER 19 :

SPEAKER 17 :

SPEAKER 19 :
And welcome back to the Kim Monson Show. Be sure and check out our Web site. That is Kim Monson, M-O-N-S-O-N dot com. We have on the line with us a fan favorite, and that is Colonel Bill Rutledge, retired United States Air Force. He’s 97 years young. And in fact, yesterday for America’s Veterans Stories, we had recorded an interview regarding Pearl Harbor because December 7, 1941, was the attack upon Pearl Harbor. It was a Sunday, and yesterday was obviously a Sunday, December 7. And Colonel Rutledge knew four people that were on the island of Oahu where Pearl Harbor is located. And we thought it’d be really interesting to share that personal view on that. And that show will rebroadcast this Sunday, 10 to 11 p.m., and then the next Saturday, 10 to 11 p.m., on all KLZ 560 platforms. So really appreciate that. But we’re going to talk about some other things. Colonel Bill Rutledge, welcome to the show. Well, good morning.
SPEAKER 03 :
How are you?
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, I am well, and I hear from so many of our listeners how they appreciate you sharing your perspective. You have traveled the world. You read extensively. You’re curious about people and places and history. And we are all richer because you share this with us. And we want to talk about the – continue the discussion that we had from last week about Colorado Representative Jason Crow and – Senator Mark Kelly from Arizona recommending that our soldiers not follow, I have this in air quotes, illegal orders. But before we get to that, you and I talked last night and I created this petition to call on Governor Jared Polis to show some mercy and compassion and kindness towards Tina Peters, former Mesa County Clerk and Recorder who is languishing in a Colorado prison in Pueblo. because she’s been denied bail for the appeal on her case. And what’s your thoughts about that?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, first of all, I have great sympathy for her. And I wanted to make a suggestion, and you may have already done this, but what I was going to suggest is that you take your address book and the people that you have real close contacts with and send them out. a narrative about what you’ve already discovered, and ask every one of those people to write a personal letter to the governor. So you need to include the governor’s mailing address, his phone address perhaps, and then you provide a little of the information about her aging mother, Tina’s cancer back, and I know the stress has a big bearing on that. and also ask for them to give prayers for Tina. And I found that the emails are most effective by going to individuals and saying, look, you write a personal letter, but in addition to that, you personally contact everyone on your mailing list that you know, and you do it by email, and ask them, to, again, personally write letters. And one of the better ways of doing it, of course, is to do a certified return receipt through the regular post office. So you can minimize the screeners who otherwise might not let the correspondence get to the governor.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, and I think this blend would be great for people to do that as well as make sure that they sign the petition at KimMonson.com. Colonel Rutledge, I’ve had some people.
SPEAKER 03 :
I agree with everything you’ve done, but this is sort of a supplement. But I have found sometime that this has been very effective in working with people at higher headquarters. I mean, especially I write to Washington all the time. And I actually have gotten some replies. I got three from the president during his first administration. I wrote him 13, but I got at least three letters back, which was pretty good.
SPEAKER 19 :
So, question. Because I know, first of all, people, many people have become, myself included, cynical about petitions. And that is, are people just trying to collect my information? What are they going to do with it? Are they going to sell it? Are they going to use it? Anyway, I want to first of all assure people that this petition is coming to me. You asked me the question on how I’m going to present the information to the governor. I’m not quite sure, but I’ve had several people say, That they’re concerned. They’re concerned about retribution, having their name on a petition. And so I may just provide first names. If we have thousands of just first names, I think that still would be important to Governor Polis. And people can sign the petition from all over the country because he has aspirations to run for president. So if he knows that there are those that are watching him, and a significant number of people, I think that may hopefully encourage him to release her. What’s your thoughts about this if people are reticent about retribution?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, first of all, I don’t think they should be. If I were, I would have quit writing a long time ago. As you know, I’ve written many letters. This past week, yes, two days ago, I mailed five letters to the members of the Supreme Court on an issue of protective tariff. It’s not before the court right now, but one of the lower courts is trying to obstruct it. So I’m just a big believer in writing directly personal letters and try to have them as personalized as can be. And one of the features, of course, you talk about, her mother is 97. I’m 97. And my wife died five years ago. And I understand the importance of friends and family from the sociability alone. So I just would ask people, do something that you feel personal and that you think the governor would read.
SPEAKER 19 :
And so, again, a great blend. Recommend a letter to the governor, but for sure sign the petition at KimMonson.com. So, Colonel Rutledge, some new things have come up since we talked last week. And for those that may have not heard our conversation, there were six Democrat candidates. Well, there was Congressman Jason Crow from Colorado and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, who are both retired veterans, and then others that have worked in government. These Democrats had a video, and I need to watch the video because I’m realizing… that there’s different wording there. My understanding is the video encouraged military personnel to not follow, I have this in air quote, illegal orders. And I think ultimately what would be the more positive message is that we would encourage all to maintain their oath that they take to the Constitution. So anyway, But that was carefully worded. Now, I just saw an article. Did you watch the video?
SPEAKER 03 :
I watched the original video, and then I watched the various personal interviews where they tried to backtrack a little bit. They were very careful, and so was the person who was the producer. They made it very clear. don’t mention the name of the president, in other words, don’t say Trump, and do not say Commander-in-Chief. So they specifically avoided those comments because of possible legal implications. But the fact was that what they did, as a longtime officer, 26 years in the Air Force, I think it was insubordinate. I think it was certainly not appropriate. And we used to make a comment about, it’s an old, old comment about an officer and a gentleman. They may have been officers, but they’re certainly not using gentlemanly association with other people. And they’re not enhancing their own electability. I think People need to remember very strongly these individuals and what they said when it comes for their reelection.
SPEAKER 19 :
So do you recall, because I just came across a Denver Post article, and this is alluding to, and it’s by a former radio show host, Krista Kafer. And it’s titled, Hegsteth and the Department of War. And then they have in parentheses, crimes prove Jason Crow right. And it’s an opinion. First of all, that headline certainly tries to move the needle a certain way. But in this, and again, I realize I need to watch it. She said that they urged troops to refuse orders that violate the law or our Constitution. This is the first time I’ve ever heard that they referred to the Constitution. Do you recall whether or not they did? And I’ll watch the videos because I need to source this.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, the principal relationship in the Constitution is this, is that every single officer, every single enlisted member, all take an oath together. that they will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic. And in the enlisted oath, they also specifically state that they will obey the orders of the President of the United States and that they will then also comply with the Constitution, with the Uniform Code of Military Justice, and with the orders as written by Air Force regulations or military regulations. So each individual has already stipulated an obligation that should be unwaverable to them personally. I, from personal experience in association with military, My peers and the people over me and those for whom I was responsible for many years, I have great confidence in their wisdom and their knowledge. And I never once heard anybody make a comment about being given a law, I mean an order that was illegal. Just never once.
SPEAKER 19 :
Wow. Okay. We’re going to continue the discussion with Colonel Bill Rutledge. I’m talking with Colonel Bill Rutledge, retired United States Air Force, regarding Congressman Jason Crow and Senator Mark Kelly. Crow is from Colorado and Kelly is Senator Mark Kelly from Arizona. and some other Democrats made a video encouraging our military personnel to not follow illegal orders. And at the end of our last conversation, Colonel Rutledge, I think we both agreed that probably the more positive message would be to follow our Constitution because they take an oath to defend and protect the Constitution. But Colonel Rutledge, I am seeing an organized media campaign from what I can tell on this. And so yesterday, Senator Tammy Duckworth from Illinois said the second strike on a drug boat was murder, illegal, and a war crime. And she was on CNN, and she used the word illegal on a regular basis in this interview. And amazingly, Dana Bash, who was interviewing her, did ask her if she’d actually seen the video, the military video. And she said no, but she was actually basing all of these comments on the videos in the media and what she had heard in the media. I think that is absolutely irresponsible for a U.S. senator. Your thoughts?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, what she was operating was on hearsay. She’d be in great trouble if she went to court on that. I did see some of these follow-on questions and comments made by individuals who were not in the initial TV display of five or six people. And so frequently, their comments had no basis. And the other thing I’ve seen a lot about them claiming, oh, well, this second run against this particular boat that was loaded with drugs was murderous. Not so. These people were apparently blown into the water, but then they got back into the boat. And the boat, therefore, had not been sunk. And the objective was to sink the boat with all of the drugs aboard. So consequently, it made good sense to go back for a second time to sink the boat. There are just so many people are taking an opportunity to be exposed. But what they’re exposing is their own ignorance. And it’s like I talked with you last week, and we talked about Crow and Kelly, and that I feel what they’ve done is negative, and that they are going to be making excuses for it forever, and always saying, well, I didn’t really mean this, or I wasn’t trying to apply that… I knew someone who had been doing the orders. And this week, they backed off a little bit, but then they honed in on the Secretary of War. And the objective has been, if we can get some member of the Cabinet, and the one that’s their target for this particular week happens to be the Secretary of War. And again, they’re going back to destruction of these boats that are carrying drugs. But they never mention, never, how many hundreds of thousands of Americans have lost their lives in recent years because of these drugs.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, and yeah, and that’s a really important point. But but and you basically mentioned this is trying to undermine our military. And if we undermine our military, who will be standing in defense of our nation against China, China? Russia, any of these countries, undermining our military, that is our line of defense to protect the American people. So when you look at this agenda, you’re realizing that ultimately it will affect the safety and security and freedom of the American people. And one of the first things in the Constitution is that we would have domestic tranquility, that we would, let me just get to the preamble here. It says that we, the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote for the general welfare. Right there, Colonel Rutledge, having all these illegal drugs that have been coming into our country and so many young people and older people that have lost their lives. Those drugs do not contribute to the general welfare, and it’s right there in the preamble of the Constitution that that’s one of the things that we need to do.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, absolutely right. And your comment about the defense in that particular state in the preamble, that’s the key to the military. And quite frankly, I’ve never even experienced anything, nor have I ever heard of any officer or sergeant or anybody in authority, calling in his men and women and briefing them to take a particular political position or do something which would be in opposition of their responsibilities to the government and to the Constitution. And one thing that’s very significant, and it That is the recruiting situation. We have never had a surge in recruiting like we’ve had in the last year since the new administration came in. And the reason being the younger people have confidence in the president and have confidence in their leaders and the new, not new now, but the secretary of war, That’s a great personal example. One of the nice things is he’s one of the few people in that position who’s actually a combat veteran. So often in the past, the cabinet positions frequently, and especially in the military cabinet positions, many times they have not been veterans. I’m a big believer that if you want someone to be giving orders within the military lines, they should have had combat experience.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, I agree with you on that. So this is coming in. And Pam had mentioned the COVID vaccine and the mandates on that. Now, that was a mandate in the military. And there were some military that declined taking that. But so was that in the illegal order on that COVID mandate?
SPEAKER 03 :
It was not an illegal order. It came directly from the president. It’s something like that had not happened before. But rather than following that particular order, they were willing to make a huge personal sacrifice. There were some who had 18 or 19 years active duty. And once you get to 20, you’re eligible to retire. And they forfeited all the active duty that they had acquired. They forfeited their rank, their income. the security for their family. They gave up tremendous amount. Now, it’s my understanding that once President Trump came back in, that they were offered the opportunity to return to active duty and to be reinstated as they should have been. It was one of those mandates that was given out. But also, when we go back, they would find that there have been other occasions when there have been so-called mandates for medications and things. And what it equated to, it was like using humans for test rats on things which had not been proved beyond any doubt as far as their impact upon the person’s physical being. So these people who walked away had a lot of courage. But the good thing is that I think most all of them were offered this opportunity to be reinstated. But I don’t think, at least I hope, we never have anything like that again where somebody is going to say this is mandatory when it comes to personal health.
SPEAKER 19 :
So and Pam Long, who writes for us on a regular basis, and she is the military director at Children’s Health Defense. She texted this. She said the emergency authorization COVID vaccine mandate in the military was an unlawful order. Perdoe versus Rumsfeld from 2003 military members. cannot be mandated to take an experimental vaccine. So that mandate, when that was issued, that was unlawful at that time. So this is validated by Secretary of War in a public statement in the reinstatement executive order and pardon a member by President Trump. But she makes a very interesting point. She says not one Democrat. spoke up for the thousands forced out under this unlawful order. As you said, they made this choice. Who lost career, benefits, retirement with a less than honorable discharge? Not one Democrat. Where was Jason Crow on that? Where was Mark Kelly on that? They were silent. So this is really a political move, I think, by Congressman Jason Crow, Senator Mark Kelly to try to undermine the military, Create division. As you mentioned, there’s been great recruitment. So try to create division within the barracks, within the troops. And that brings us up to an Epoch Times article that we’ll talk about when we come back. And Chris Harris, who was on on Friday, alluded to this, and I was not aware of it, but there’s billboards near our military facilities encouraging this. So I think it’s important that we connect these dots from Jason Crow to Mark Kelly, that initial video. Then we have Senator Tammy Duckworth out on the Sunday morning program making statements where she’s not even seen the video. Then we’ve got these billboards. My friends, this is really an organized effort to undermine our military relationship. which puts the United States citizen at tremendous risk. So we will continue the discussion, and we have these because of our sponsors. If you’ve been injured, you’ll want to talk with John Bozen and Bozen Law.

And that money goes to maintaining and taking care of the memorial and raising money for the the remodel and you can make that contribution by going to usmcmemorialfoundation.org and then the center for american values which is located in pueblo is focused on honoring our medal of honor recipients keeping their stories alive as well as they’ve created great k-12 educational programs and they’re non-political non-partisan as well as the usmc memorial foundation is non-political non-partisan they’re just focused on their mission and the mission of the a center for american values is to continue with these foundational principles of honor integrity and patriotism and you can make that contribution by going to americanvaluecenter.org i’m talking with colonel bill rutledge and colonel rutledge again i want to make the point that this democrat party particularly here in Colorado, is not the Democrat Party of JFK or your grandpa and grandma. These are radical activists. They are focused on shutting down voices and taking power. And so moderate Democrats and unaffiliated and Republicans and conservatives and libertarians, we need to get disciplined in conserving and preserving this great American idea. Because Alexis said, I heard a statement the other day that, and I’m going to paraphrase, these radical activist Dems can hold only a third of the House of Representatives, Senate and presidency, and they’re more effective than when Republicans hold all of them. And the reason is Republicans, as we talk with Dr. Brian Jundep, currently we hold the House and Senate on the national level, and they’re dilly-dallying around and not putting into law some of these very important executive orders that are important for the freedom of everyday people. So we’re talking about Democrats and how effective they are. And Colonel Rutledge… Chris Harris was on Friday on the show. He’s a retired Border Patrol agent from the San Diego sector, and he mentioned something about billboards outside military bases and immigration flashpoints around the nation encouraging our military to not follow illegal orders. I think this is all really coordinated from Congressman Crowe and Senator Kelly to Senator Duckworth to these billboards. Somebody’s really organized on this, I think.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, there’s no question about that. This thing, for example, about Antifa, they have been a part of a lot of this. They’ve sort of been the action arm behind. to create public disturbance and damage and things like that. When that first appeared, it was in January, right after President Trump had been, he started his first administration. And that’s when they came to the University of California at Berkeley and did their first destructive thing and did the position where they wanted to deny free rights of guest speakers on campus. And I wrote personally to Denver to the person in charge of the FBI and called that to his attention and told him that this was a seditious act and that they did not have a file open. They should open one. I never got a reply. So That was the other side of the coin on some of the FBI people. I did want to make one reference to them about mandatory inoculations. There are a few things, but they have been proved scientifically, and they are required. For example, when I was stationed in Germany and I was going to have to go to Pakistan, I was required to take… one for the plague, the cholera, typhoid, and malaria, because I never had those. And I was going to an area where those were endemic. So there was no question that there are certain times when circumstances warrant, but it’s with approved product, not a test product. And the COVID vaccine test, was never properly documented. Never.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, and it was an experimental.
SPEAKER 03 :
It was purely experimental. And they weren’t even using an experimental technique, which I learned in 10th grade biology.
SPEAKER 19 :
So that was in a legal order because it was an experimental drug. But we need to also be questioning that in the media. Don’t you remember also back at that particular point in time to ask a question? Was considered seditious in a way. You were basically kind of in the court of public opinion. You were asking a question that should not be asked. At least that’s the way I remember it.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, what people should think about is that the very first person who was appointed in 1933 to the German cabinet was the commissioner for propaganda, Goebbels. He gained control of all media, the newspaper. There was no TV at the time, but the newspapers, the production of any kind of information, signs, theater productions, even if it was something where someone was doing a play, and especially they couldn’t listen to BBC. But what we have here in our own society, by somebody in some coalition group, owners on these various channels, and in the television especially, and some in the radios. We have people who are conspiring to undermine the Constitution, period.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, and you’re right. Goebbels did that as Minister of Propaganda for Hitler. And shutting down voices is key in a totalitarian state. And that’s why the freedom of speech is the very first right in the Bill of Rights. And that’s why to connect the dot to Tina Peters is if you look carefully at the Colorado… County Clerks Association letter, the reason that they give that they do not want her released is because what she might say. That is a freedom of speech issue. And if in fact what she says has no merit, then why would it matter? And so that’s why we’re in such a historical time in our country. So Colonel Rutledge, we have just two minutes left. How would you like to wrap this up?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, first of all, the whole issue came up as far as these two officers and then other people who are affiliated with the CIA. We never talked about those other people. But in all honesty, the CIA has a terrible, terrible record. And when they talk about legal orders – They have a track record that if it were happening in the U.S., in the continental U.S., they’d all be in prison. So I’ve done an awful lot of reading on the CIA, and there’s a lot of reason to believe that they need a huge change in their policies, and there’s even consideration of doing away with them. Now, we have to have some foreign intelligence information, yes, but there have been a lot of cases where there were just mass murders. And the president wasn’t ordering that, but it’s for sure because of the covert situation of them being out of the country and out of sight. Many things happened which you or I would consider criminal.
SPEAKER 19 :
Okay. Well, Colonel Rutledge, thank you so much. Your wisdom, your experience, and we had mentioned you’d also, we may have to talk about this again, that you had actually served in military courts as well. So, Colonel Rutledge, we’re out of time, but as always, thank you. We’ll talk again soon.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. Thank you, Kim.
SPEAKER 19 :
And in our call for Governor Jared Polis to release Tina Peters by Christmas Eve, and we call on him to exhibit kindness and compassion and mercy. And Maya Angelou said this, it says it takes courage to be kind. And so today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you, and God bless America.
SPEAKER 09 :
Like a new moon rising fierce Through the rain and lightning Wandering out into this great unknown And I don’t want no one to cry But tell them if I don’t serve
