Cherri Campbell continues her “God of Miracles” series by teaching on lessons from Jesus’ healing miracles and the connection between faith, forgiveness, healing, and perseverance. The message emphasizes how unforgiveness can hinder healing, why believers must actively use faith, and how healing requires cooperation with God through obedience, love, and persistence.
Cherri also focuses on the importance of guarding words and resisting negative confession, reminding listeners that faith must remain active over time through patience, determination, and speaking God’s promises instead of doubt or fear.
SPEAKER 01 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This morning, I’m going to continue sharing with you the message that I’ve been sharing with you in the last couple of broadcasts that I preached in a six message series in our Victorious Faith services called the God of Miracles. This is message three in that series called Lessons from Jesus Healing Miracles, part two. So join me now in our live service for part three of this message, Lessons from Jesus Healing Miracles, part two. because Jesus said, which is easier to say your sins are forgiven or to say, get up and walk. The same power that forgives also heals. Psalm 103 verse three, who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. And I only give you two examples here, but there are many scriptures in the Bible that pair forgiveness of sin and with healing. They’re paired together. Forgiveness of sin with healing. He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. And James 5, 15, the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person. Well, the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. So notice the forgiveness of sin and the healing of the sick are paired together. Well, the same channel that you receive forgiveness through You also must give forgiveness. You must forgive. Because if you are blocking the forgiveness channel by not forgiving somebody who has wronged you, that’s also the same forgiveness channel that healing flows through. It will be blocked. It will block your receiving of healing. And so if you do not forgive somebody, And there are many scriptures, and we’ve talked at this on other subjects, and I’m not going to make a whole big lengthy point on it. But if you don’t forgive, it can and often will stop healing. So that we find that when we minister healing to people or praying with people. and they’re having difficulty, we stop and say, Hey, is there somebody that you have offense against? It may be somebody from years ago, maybe a loved one, a friend that has betrayed you or something like that. But if you have not forgiven them, then that can be the block that in your channel to receive healing. So we must always give forgiveness, release people and forgive them so that we can be open to receiving healing. Hallelujah. So we forgive in order to heal. Well, another requirement to receive healing is the law of faith, the law of faith. And so we see faith in action and all of these and almost all of these. Well, all the examples I’m giving you, we’re seeing faith in action on the part of those who received healing faith in action. So here Jesus saw their faith and their faith was in action. Faith can be seen. Faith is action. So what I’m saying is the power of God can be present without people being healed. God’s power was there to heal. Jesus could have healed everybody in the room. But notice, especially who was there, the Pharisees and teachers of the law. Well, they were the ones who were generally just listening to see what they could criticize, find fault with and throw stones at him for. And so they’re not even perhaps having an open heart. While they’re listening to the teaching, they might have been having a critical and a judgmental and a skeptical heart while they were listening. And so the power of God to heal was there. And you can be sure that there were many there who could have used a healing. They needed the healing, but it records only one person got healed. And it was the man who pressed through the crowd and showed his faith and received his healing. So it’s not all up to God. That’s what we’re seeing in all these examples. Healing is not all up to God. The person has a part to play. We, the receiver, have a part to play. We have a part to play. We have to use our faith. We need to be walking in love and we need to come to agreement with God and take authority and bind the sickness and cast it out. We need to understand the power of our words and watch what we say that we don’t keep speaking sickness and death over ourselves, guard our tongue and speak life only. So anywhere that we, if we get out of the will of God, I mean, God has told us to do something. I don’t want to do that. It can block a healing. It can block a financial breakthrough, not being in the will of God. So walking with God, being in obedience, following the spirit and living in love and living in faith are keys to receiving. That’s why you have to know it’s not all up to God. We have a part to play. Most Christians do not know that. And many believe it’s all up to God. And so therefore they are not good receivers. So that’s why we say we are good receivers. I’m a good receiver. I’m a good receiver. Amen. Praise God. So we see something else here. Faith can be seen. Faith is action. And I have James 2 18, but someone will say, you have faith. I I have deeds. Show me your faith without deeds. And I will show you, show you my faith by what I do. And remember in verse 20, Jesus saw their faith. James said, I will show you my faith by what I do. So faith is action. Faith demonstrates action. what it believes by acting on it and doing it. And so that’s why they pressed through the roof even to get the paralytic to Jesus. And guess what? The paralytic had to have faith himself to have let himself be carried up onto a roof. I mean, he had to have some faith to let these men carry him up on the rooftop. And so his faith was working as well. He might have been urging them on, get me in there. Anything you have to do, get me in there. I mean, I believe his faith was right there because he received. And then with the faith, we also have his friends were determined. You must be determined to get your healing. Diligence in doing what you know to do is the key. All right. This is a big key. And I’ve said this many times. I’m going to say it again. There are two primary reasons that I know of why people don’t receive certain blessings from God. One, number one reason is lack of knowledge. They don’t know the blessing is available to them. Hosea 4, 6, God said, my people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge. And that’s actually a majority of the church. They don’t even know Jesus paid for sickness and that he provided healing for every Christian. Every child of God has the right to be healed. Most Christians don’t know that. And he paid for our prosperity, that he was made poor so that we could be made rich, that he bore our punishment so that we could have peace. They don’t know that our peace was paid for, that we can have peace, shalom, wholeness, nothing missing, nothing broken in every area of our lives. Most Christians think that we just have to have these problems until we get to heaven. Most Christians don’t know it’s already bought and paid for. So the number one reason, majority of Christians don’t know that the blessings of healing, provision, peace, all of these things, they’re paid for in redemption by the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. But then there’s a number two reason why people don’t receive. And that would be among those who do already know that it’s been paid for, provided, and it’s rightfully ours. It’s then a failure to diligently do what we know to do. And that’s the next biggest thing. We hear that Jesus paid for it by his blood, by his stripes were healed. We thank God that we’re healed and we can have our faith just bursting for 24 hours. Yes, I believe I’m healed. And you go to a church service that pumps you up and you claim it and you thank God for it. And for 24 hours, you’re like, yes, I believe I’m healed. But the next day you wake up and you still feel sick or pain and you think, oh, maybe I didn’t get it. And you start doubting, wavering, or maybe your faith is strong for two days or three days or four days or five or a week. But you know, this is something to remember time. Time tests faith. Time is one of the biggest tests of faith is what do you do in day after day, week after week and month after month, you’re still believing for the same thing. Faith can get weary. That’s where we talked about patience, which is perseverance. We’ll uphold and sustain faith and carry it through the duration of the waiting period without weakening in faith. We must persevere and keep our faith strong and active for days, but not only days, weeks, not only weeks, months, not only months, years, sometimes for some things that we’re believing for. And so the process of that faith can get weary, but not only faith get weary, we can just sometimes really get slack and lazy, especially in the area of our mouth. What we say, boy, we can get a lazy tongue and people start talking about, oh, my back is just killing me. I feel so sick. Today is a bad day. You know, I’m having a bad day. It’s a bad knee day. It’s a bad back day. You know, the weather is kind of clammy and that’s when my bones ache the most. You know, all that language, all that talk of sickness and pain, you have just stopped your healing in its tracks. It is completely stopped when you talk that way because your words void the faith that you previously exercised. Your words of doubt and sickness and pain void previous declarations of faith.
