[Music] Welcome to Call to Freedom with Barbar Carman. This is Jimmy Lakey and I’m delighted that you are joining us for this half hour. You can reach Call to Freedom at box 370-367 Denver, Colorado, 802-37 or by going to the website at www.freedomstreet.org. If you want to leave a message or order a word-powered daily reading Bible guide or a Freedom Street Express newsletter, you can call us toll-free at 1-877-917-7256 and leave your name and address including your zip code. If you want to talk to Barbara right now, she is expecting your call. You may call that same toll-free number 1-877-917-7256 to speak to her. And now let’s join Barbara in the studio. Welcome to Call to Freedom. I am waiting to not only hear Kimberly’s wonderful, anointed teaching but I’m just waiting to listen to Holy Spirit about you. Yes, you who are listening because you’re listening. Never before. You have never listened so well and you are watching and waiting. We’re going to be talking about Jesus appearing soon. Oh, and I want to tell you today that God has poured out His love into your heart by Holy Spirit whom He has given to us and we can never be disappointed by what Holy Spirit does for us today. I was going across town to your Bindry on. It’s not going to be here very much longer. Oh, thank you, Jesus. He’s going to take care of us. He really is. But oh, the trucks and I had to take different arterials to get over to your Bindry because of all the traffic, of all the construction. And so I just listened to Holy Spirit take this turn, this turn. You mean Barbara? He actually talks to you. It’s in my heart. It’s right inside in my chest and He just tells me how to go and where to go and I come out right. It’s not me folks. It’s not me. Pray so hard. So Holy Spirit is pouring out His directions, His guidance, His comfort on you. Also today, praise the Lord. Oh, you are blessed to dispense for in Him you live and move and have your being. Remember our memory verse for this week is Micah 6.8. He has told you, oh man, oh woman, what is good and what does the Lord require of you? But to seek justice, seek justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God. Before we get into her really special teaching, I just want to tell you a little bit about the voting guide because, whoa, I got my voting ballot and it’s three pages front ends and back. So don’t get anxious. It’s going to be okay. And I do have a voting guide and you still have time to call me at 1-877-917-7256. And I can either email you or I can send you hard copy. But when you get to the judges and oh, there’s a list of judges. Remember, there are three judges that were appointed by our Republican governor Owens. Judge Gilbert Roman, judge Jerry Jones and judge Andre Rudolph. You say yes on those three. The rest of them are no. I mean, according to Barbara Carmack, if you don’t want to follow me, that’s fine. But then Dan Ver, God bless them, added four more amendments that aren’t in the booklet. And so I just want to tell you, including a prohibition of wearing fur. So I’m saying no on all those two. So that’s the advice I’m giving to you. And as far as Samaritans purses, I’m sending a check this Friday to Samaritans purses. Also the following Friday and maybe the next Friday, if you don’t want to donate, I called a freedom, we’ll donate anyway. But if you want to give to Samaritans purses, you can write a check for your giving. You can also go to freedomstreet.org, click on that donate button. And in the reply, say, “For Samaritans purses.” And I will do that. I will include it in that check on Friday. And it’s a blessing to be — isn’t it a blessing to be able to give to these organizations and these people that are just doing such good work, like tunnel to towers. I give to them also. I give to ACLJ American Center for Law and Justice. So I’m just so privileged and called a freedom is privileged to be able to do this. So remember Samaritans purses and also don’t get worried and anxious about voting. You just ask Barbara, call her at 1877-917-7256. And Jimmy will give that to you at the end of the program. Or you go to freedomstreet.org. And I will — no, not Freedom Street, but Barbara Carmack — that’s C-A-R-M-A-C-K — Barbara Carmack at freedomstreet.org is my email address. You can email me that. And I will email you a voting guide. And I’ve done that to many already. So God bless you for your email addresses. I really appreciate that. It’s quick and it’s efficient. God bless you. And welcome to the program, Kimberly. I’m sorry for all the things that I’ve had to talk about. But this is a busy time. It is a busy time. Yes, it is. And wow, three pages. Front and back. Three or four pages. Front and back. Yes. Yes. No wonder you all don’t go to voting booths anymore. That’s what we do here in Oklahoma. We still all go to our voting precincts. And we vote in those little booths. But we don’t have three pages. I know. It gets really thick. And I just wanted to remind also those of you who are voting. I would really encourage you not to mail them in. I know that’s easy. I know it’s easy. But try not to mail them in. Wait and go to a box, a drop box. Or on the day of voting. But I find sometimes that the post office loses our mail. And I don’t want yours to be lost and remind you also when you’re filling out your ballot like I did today. I pray over it. And then I say thank you, Father, for getting it to its destination and making my voting ballot count. And keeping the devil from interfering in any of it. In Jesus name. If you pray over it like that, it’s going to get counted. Praise the Lord. Yes. And his will will be done. Yes, his will will be done. That’s where I will be done. Praise the Lord. Wow. You know what? I’m just going to dive right into second Peter last week. We were talking from first Peter. That’s where I was reading last week in this week. I’m in second Peter. And in chapter three today, I’m going to be reading from verses eight and nine and 17 and 18. Let me start at the end and work my way forward. So okay, you’re getting more Jewish all the time. Thank you. That is a compliment. Thank you. I hope that does not offend any of my Jewish brothers and sisters out there. Thank you so much. Oh, second Peter chapter three, verses 17 and 18 say, you therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. I wanted to start with that passage first because I do want to end with that. So we’re going to we’re going to start an end and have a nice sandwich that’s focusing on the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And that is where we want to stake our claim. That’s where we want to have our feet firmly planted because you’re right. There’s a lot going on right now. There’s a lot going on politically and then with all of the elements and disasters in the world, there’s a lot going on with wars and rumors of wars. So there’s so much going on that we might not know exactly how to walk through these years that are ahead of us. But we do have a perfect map in the Bible. And so that’s what I want to focus on. I want to come back to growing in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. That is our perfect outline of a map. I want to go to verse nine of second Peter three. The Lord is not slow about his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. And now I’m going to back up one more to verse eight, but do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like one day. So these two verses verse nine is very special to me. It was one of those pivotal verses that started my journey of thinking differently and aligning my heart and my mind to want to be an agreement with God himself. Whatever that might look like and to realize that God himself is not wishing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. That challenges me to lay down my grievances, any grievances that I might have to become like him is our highest goal. We’re not able to make that happen if we’re hanging on to resentment, hanging on to unforgiveness, hanging on to anger. We’ve got to be able to let that go. And he showed us how to do that. You know, he’s the one. He is the one who came in the flesh to this earth in the person of Jesus Christ. And he allowed himself to be nailed to a cross. And from that cross, he spoke forgiveness over everyone who put him on that cross. That’s amazing. He knew that’s right. He knew there was a greater plan than what they were seeing with their physical eyes. There was something greater spiritually going on for the whole world. And that’s what I love about it, Kimberly. We’ve got to keep our eyes off the physical this physical world and on to heaven. Set your mind on things above and not on things on this earth. Yes. That’s right. And it’s difficult for us to do as human beings. So what we do is we ask him for help. All we can do is give our heavenly Father the troubles in our hearts and let him do what he does best. Yes. Make it all new. And as he does his work, he invites us to enter his rest. So with all of this political stuff going on in the wars and the disasters and the pandemics, he’s inviting us to enter his rest. And he will be appearing soon. He tells us to be prepared for that. Well, how? How do we be prepared for his coming? And I just see a really amazing outline. It’s outlined in the Bible. And he’s left us this map of what he’s planning to do. So I just wanted to talk about it briefly. And part of this comes on the heels of the meeting that we had last Saturday, Richard came and I just want to say thank you, Richard, for reminding me about the way that God sees a thousand years as a day or a day as a thousand years. To God, his timing is so much differently than what we call time here in this realm. And I’m so thankful that I was reminded of that this past weekend. I came home and I opened up this really large synchronous, synchronous logical. I had a hard for me to say. It’s a synchronological history book and I can open it up and it folds out and folds out and folds out to this very long timeline of the earth. And it starts at where the Bible says creation happened. And at the year 4,000, there’s a cross. And the cross has Jesus on it. That’s the year 4,000. If we’re counting day one where God created the heavens and the earth as year one. Yes. And not 200,000 years ago or the million years ago. It’s 4,000 years. Yes. So I’m looking at it that way. That’s where I’m speaking from. And it’s not that I’m not open to hearing a lot of other timelines. I’m just speaking from that one today. Day one in the Bible talks about God creating the heavens and the earth. And I’m just going to turn turn to that page. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Verse two. And the earth was formless and void. And darkness was over the surface of the deep. The word was and the earth was formless and void. That word in the Hebrew is Hayach. And it can mean that it became formless and void. It can be translated that way for sure. So when I think of the Lord creating all of this in the beginning, the creation happened. And then it became formless and void. You know, when Adam and Eve chose to take matters in their own hands and they sinned by going against God’s directives, his opinions and his plan. And they ended up with their own opinions. Well, you know what? That tree looks awfully good to me. And based on their opinion, they ate of it. So that caused us to be flung into darkness, didn’t it? Yes. You know, not long after that, the first murder happened. It was Adam and Eve’s own sons, Cain and Abel and Cain killed his brother Abel. So that’s darkness to me. You know, when there’s murders happening, that would be a great definition of darkness. So day one, you’ve got creation and darkness immediately comes in. Day one, you could also see it as a thousand years. And there’s a thousand years of darkness, dark opinions, murders. I’m sure that wasn’t the only one that happened. The between Cain and Abel. So you’ve got a thousand years there. And then the next thousand years, we could consider that day two. What happened in the outline in creation on day two is the separation of waters from waters. So we’re looking at a lot of water. And in my great big book here, it’s the year 2,360 something that the flood came. So there’s waters, waters. And that’s amazing to me that within the 2000 years, the second day, there’s waters, the flood of waters coming on the land and Noah building the ark. And day three of creation, the waters are then gathered in one place and dryland appears. Well, that’s what happened after the flood, the waters receded and dryland appeared. So we have this outline going on. I’m talking about day one, day two, day three of creation that’s mapped out in Genesis chapter one. But I’m also talking about the first thousand years, the second thousand years, the third thousand years. Yes. Yes. Yes. That we’re looking at mankind. And day four in Genesis 1, we’ve got plants and vegetation coming up. So, here’s the provision for mankind coming up. Plants and vegetation. Well, I don’t know how to relate that very well. And I’m sure there are some out there, some of you listing that might be able to relate it to the 4,000 years. Into the creation, into our being, our timeline. But what’s significant to me is that the end of 4,000 years, when we hit the mark of 4,000, that is when Jesus was born. On this chronological timeline that I’m looking at right here, that’s the year Jesus was born. 4,000. And it’s like a route that’s coming out of the dry ground. Isaiah talks about that. Oh, that’s good. That comes out of the dry ground. Jesus Christ is prophesied about. Yes. Oh, that’s good. Yes. And there’s a little bit of maybe not agreement. There’s some disagreement on the exact year. Some say that it’s a little before year, 4,000. Some say it’s 4,000 and 4. But right around that area is when Jesus came to this earth, he lived on this earth and he died at age 33. And from that moment starts day 5, day 5, or the next group of 1,000 years, there’s in Genesis 1, we’re told, living creatures, fish of the sea, birds of the air, they’re multiplying, they’re being fruitful and multiplying. So we’ve got all of this going on. Well, we can see when Jesus came in John 20, 22, after the resurrection, after his death and then resurrection, Jesus appears to his disciples. And in John 20, 22, he takes a deep breath and breath over his disciples and he tells them receive the Holy Spirit. And another way to translate that is to say receive the sacred breath. Oh, praise God. Here we are looking at new life happening in the next thousand years. Oh, hello, Julia. And then day 6 is when in Genesis 1 going back to the original outline, day 6 is when all the other land, animals and man were created, the breath of life was given and they were told to be fruitful and multiply. So we’re seeing that in the last thousand years, wow, there’s been a lot of life. There’s been so much change and growth and amazing discoveries and knowledge in science and mathematics and wow, we’ve grown. We have been fruitful and we have multiplied in knowledge for sure. And since that time, we since the time of Jesus when he breathed out over the disciples, we’ve been living in that fifth and sixth day of the outline. So we’re getting really close to the end of the sixth day. That means day seven is almost upon us. Yes. How do we prepare for that? How do we prepare for day seven? So that’s why I started out in second Peter chapter three with verses 17 and 18. Jesus is saying to his disciples here. In fact, let me just look at it in the passion translation. He says, “As for you, divinely loved ones, since you are forewarned of these things, be careful that you are not led astray by the error of the lawless and lose your firm grip on the truth.” Okay, you are forewarned of these things. What is he saying here? What is he forewarning us about? Peter in chapter three of second Peter, he is talking about the day of the Lord, the Lord’s return, the coming of Jesus. This is so great because that’s where we’re at. We’re at the end of the sixth day, the coming of our Lord is upon us. We’re going to be invited into the seventh day. The seventh day is a day of rest. Rest. Rest, isn’t that beautiful? It’s coming. Well, those of us who love Jesus are already resting, we’re hooked up with Him and we’re in His rest and peace. No matter what’s going on in this world, we’re at rest. That is the point that I wanted to come to is that that’s how we prepare. When we look at second Peter three, verse five, it says, “But they conveniently overlook that from the beginning the heavens and earth were created by God’s Word. He spoke and the dry ground separated from the waters. Then long afterward, he destroyed the world with the tremendous flood by those very waters. And now, by the same powerful word, the heavens and the earth are reserved for fire, being kept for judgment day when all the ungodly will perish. All the darkness will be gone. All of the wicked tendencies of human nature will disappear. And we will all be able to live in His light and in His love. That’s so exciting to me.” Yes, it is. And he begins even the third chapter, Kimberly, by saying, “I want to remind you to hold your minds in a state of undistracted attention. This is the message. Hold your minds in a state of undistracted attention. Don’t let anything distract you from my love and my taking care of you. And keep in mind what the Holy Prophet said. You’re quoting some of what the Holy Prophet’s wrote that we can understand it more easily and more succinctly.” And that’s so important. Yes. Yes. Good. Thank you for that reminder that that is how he starts out that chapter. And really, it was a letter that he wrote. We added the chapters and verse numbers so that we could find where we’re talking. But yes, that is how we want to stay focused. That is how we prepare for these next few years that are to come. It’s right. Is to stay very focused on who our God is. So dear friends, don’t let this one thing escape your notice. This is verse 8. “A single day counts like a thousand years to the Lord. And a thousand years counts as one day.” This means that contrary to man’s perspective, the Lord is not late with his promise to read. That’s right. That’s right. But rather, his delay simply reveals his loving patience towards you because he does not want any to perish but all to come to him. I love how Jesus is preparing his disciples because we want to know when. When is this going to happen? And even Jesus’ own disciples wanted to know when. When will this all happen, Lord? And he starts revealing some of that in chapter 24. We’re living during a time where there are wars and rumors of wars. There are great pandemics. There are disasters happening. There are so many disasters. There are so much going on right now. We’re in that time. And Jesus continues his description of what it’s going to look like in the end times in chapter 25 of Matthew. And I love Matthew 25. It’s talking about the 10 virgins. And it describes the 5 wise virgins and the 5 foolish virgins. And what stands out to me, what’s so obvious to me here, is that the wise ones who had oil in their lamp and kept them trimmed, when they woke up, the oil was still in their lamp. They had extra oil, the foolish ones. They just weren’t thinking ahead. They ran out of oil. And do you remember that little song that we used to sing as kids? Give me oil in my lamp. Keep me burning. Keep me burning. Yes. Give me oil in my lamp. I pray. That’s it right there. Give me oil in my lamp. I pray. Yes. And I’ve run out of time. Oh, I know you have. I just want to say that in Matthew 25.9, the wise virgins said, go get some more oil. They weren’t saying, okay, you’re gone. You’re lost. You’re in the deep problems here. No, they said, just go get more oil. So we’re going to continue that tomorrow, Kimberly. Oh, this is so exciting. Yes. I’m going to pick up right there. Yes. It is so good. And it really brings rest and peace to all of us, doesn’t it, my friend? I hope that is your listening. You’re going to know that God’s going to take care of you every minute of your day into eternity. God bless you and keep you and take joy.
