And force can be a weapon, but it can be policy, unpredictable, and excessive taxation, fear, coercion, government-induced inflation, the World Economic Forum’s agenda, and globalist elites. And this is playing out all the way down to the local level. And I’ll talk about that here in just a little bit. But remember, if something’s a good idea, you should not have to use force to implement it. On the show, we focus on the issues and we’ll mention the people behind those issues. And George Patton, let’s see, he was, let me get to it. He was born in 1885. He died in 1945. And he was a general in the United States Army who commanded the 7th Army in the Mediterranean Theater in World War II and then the 3rd Army in France and Germany. after the landings in normandy in june in 1944 and he got things done and he said this he led said lead me follow me or get out of my way and he certainly got things done and uh he was a a very colorful character as well but uh i thought that was a great quote for today our word of the day is corrigender and or excuse me corrigendum and it spells c-o-r-r-i-g-e-n-d-u-m and this was submitted by one of our listeners and i had intended to write their name down and i did not so if you’re the listener that submitted that text me because i’d like to give you credit for that that text line is 720-605-0647 and corrigendum is an error in printed work discovered after printing and shown with its correction on a separate sheet. And I would say that there should be a lot of corrigendum from mainstream media on many of these issues that they’ve had out there. But again, that is the word of the day. uh… let’s see aloha let me mention there’s restaurants because it is wednesday and wednesday is wings day at hooters restaurants you buy twenty wings you get an additional ten for free that’s for to go or to dine in and they have locations in loveland westminster and in aurora and uh… so it’s a great you know great thing to do on wednesday and of course and whose restaurants has all kinds of screens to watch all the sporting events and again locations in loveland westminster and Aurora, and how I got to know them. It’s an important story about freedom and free markets and capitalism. It’s when I was on city council. And then those pesky PBIs, politicians, bureaucrats, and interested parties that think that they know better how we should live our lives. And so freedom is always a good idea. And liberty. Liberty is the responsible exercise of freedom. Last evening, last night, I was out in Kiowa in Elbert County. The Public Utilities Commission was holding a hearing regarding this huge land grab that Excel is attempting to do and doing. out regarding an industrial transmission line. And when I got there, it was standing room only. I waited until near the end to make my comments. But it was all these people are there because their property is being taken from them. VIA BASICALLY IMMINENT DOMAIN OR REDUCTION IN PROPERTY VALUES BECAUSE OF THIS PROJECT. AND ONE OF THE PEOPLE MADE A REALLY GOOD POINT. THE REDUCTION IN LAND VALUES CERTAINLY ON A MICROLEVEL THAT AFFECTS THE PERSON THAT OWNS THE LAND BUT ALSO AFFECTS THE COUNTY’S TAX BASE. And it’s amazing that this transmission line that Excel has been given the power to use eminent domain to take people’s land. And granted, they’re supposed to give just compensation for the land. i think that you need to replace land with land not cash with land because cash is a declining investment as because of inflation it’s worth less and less and so it was standing room only when i got out there And many people passionately made the case for Excel to look to a different location for this. Apparently there is an alternative, and Excel doesn’t want to do that because it would cost them money. And of course, Excel was just at the PUC last month. They say what we want, and that would be we want reliable, efficient, affordable, and abundant power. That’s what they say that they want to provide. However, they were at the PUC last month asking for a $356 million rate increase. The reason is because of the political agenda of these radical activist Democrats and, of course, the governor. The governor appoints everybody on the PUC. I should say he appoints, I don’t know exactly how people are put onto the PUC. They are appointed, and it may be a blend to try to make it look like he doesn’t have total power on that, but ultimately he is controlling the levers on all of that. And so I made comments on that. And in my comments, I said that basically, Excel is a monopoly. It has monopolistic power over its customers, and its job is to provide reliable, efficient, affordable, and abundant power for its customers, Coloradans. Then you’ll have a return on your investment, and that’s why the investors are investing in the company. But when you add in the whole land grab thing, and land is so valuable, it changes everything. so i encourage the commissioners on the puc to do the right thing and to deny this application it was denied by the elbert county commissioners and then excels now doing a a run around to try to get approval from the puc and this just is not okay so stay tuned we’re going to continue to talk about these important issues. Jim, good morning. How are you?
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, I am well. And we had texted back and forth about different subjects, and I thought it was very timely. I was out in Kiowa last night testifying against these industrial transmission lines that Excel’s trying to put in through El Paso and Elbert County. And a big land grab in order to do so, which is wrong. But then you said, let’s talk a little bit about smart meters. And so tell us what’s going on with these XL smart meters.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, not a whole lot, but just the other day, a tech came to my door to apparently put my opt-out meter in. I originally opted out in the very first phase or so I thought, I don’t know. And what had happened, I think you and I talked earlier this year, I got opted in. Without my knowledge, and so I had to go through this whole thing with Excel, and they fixed it, and they’re like, okay, we’ll send someone out to make sure you get the proper opt-out meter in case something had gone wrong. So first, if anyone had opted out, just make sure you weren’t kind of switched over by accident.
SPEAKER 12 :
But the good news is… And hey, Mike, let me just interject that I did the same thing. I opted out, and I kid you not, within a month, three different times, I had a knock on the door. And it was contractors with Excel saying, we’re here to put your smart meter in. And I said, well, I opted out. And they said, oh, it says here that you ordered it. I’m like, I did not. So I found that real interesting that I had that experience. And so I have it on my calendar every month to check and make sure that they didn’t come out and put the other meter on. So go ahead.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, it was an interesting situation for me as well because here we were on a road trip and then I’m dealing with a smart meter that I never opted in for. And in fact, I just was pulling up to see if I can get what was sent to me. Yeah, it says, it’s interesting, email in regards to your conversation, originally you opted out of receiving the AMI, and then on 1-4-24, the opt-out was canceled, and an opt-in was entered, and I swear I never did that. They thought maybe it was a different address, and the proverbial wires were crossed. Then it says, after I recall, I reviewed this further and found a new tenant had called, which there is no new tenant here, and given us an incorrect address, but that could be what it was, and requested to start their service. And then I fixed that situation. So that’s literally the email portion that I got from Excel. So I would definitely, if you’re interested in the opt-out, first, make sure you have one. Second, make sure no one didn’t make a mistake. But the good news is when I asked about how popular this was to the tech. He said, well, it was his apology that it took so long, but they had run out of stock on the opt-out meters. So they’re increasing in popularity. It’s our right to opt out. And he was very clear about that, too. He goes, it’s your right.
SPEAKER 12 :
And the other thing about it, though, the other thing about it, though, is with these new meters is they now send out a meter reader. So the opt out meter is collecting all your data. when you use power, and they’re just coming out then, and they’re downloading it from that opt-out meter, and they’re taking it back and inputting all that data so that they have, you know, they know when you get up, when you go to bed, so they’re still getting all that data, but it’s not being fed directly to the company. At least that’s my understanding with the opt-out meter.
SPEAKER 09 :
Okay. Could be. What I have read is the opt-out meter wasn’t tracking the 15-minute intervals, but, you know, hey, I’ve been wrong before. It could be wrong again. And if that’s the case, the Naperville smart city awareness versus the city of Naperville, and I think it was the Fourth Circuit, proved that that kind of granular data would constitute a search problem. However, the court found that the enhancements to our grid and the efficiencies found negated the effects of that search. But if it was done by law enforcement, it would have needed a warrant because now it can start detecting patterns of behavior. So if the opt-out has that same problem, that would be a problem with me. I’ll do some more digging on that for sure. Okay, great. Yeah, yeah. But no matter what, the opt-out program is working better than apparently people thought. So hopefully that can keep going. okay yeah well and we’re going to say and did you say that there was something and with the opt-out or with the um smart meter and flock or did i read that well no i thought the interesting tie-in was the idea of the search right the the unintended consequence or you know intended what have you of the search so when you look at flock unfortunately flock just won another court case the other day and they put it on their website and they were you know very excited to show that once again district courts are apparently finding that Flock is A-OK for some reason under the Fourth Amendment. But the landmark case I’d be waiting for is the Institute for Justice case that’s out in Norfolk, Virginia. But it says here, Seventh Circuit decision says Fourth Amendment. No, that’s the wrong one. Sorry. There’s so much. Okay. Flock applauds Virginia Court of Appeals ruling affirming constitutionality of LPR cameras. So what happened here is apparently… there was a lower court ruling that said license plate readers requires a warrant, and then the Court of Appeals reversed it. So that is definitely something to watch. It’s not the one that Institute for Justice has been looking at with Norfolk, as far as I can tell, because that one still says pending on the Institute for Justice site. But if it is, I would hope that they’re going to take it higher and higher up, because this is This seems to be a flagrant violation of Carpenter versus U.S., especially via the fact that Flock will store your data for 30 days, which definitely beats the seven-day rule that was discussed in Carpenter. But since we talked, I have received some core request data back from Arvada and Jeffco. And the interesting thing about Jeffco is, It’s probably a pretty boilerplate here, but I wanted to read. This kind of gets down into the weeds. Flock OS features and descriptions right off of their own contract. Community network access. The description, the ability to request direct access from feeds from privately owned Flock Safety Falcon cameras located in neighborhood schools and businesses in your community. So just think about that. You might have an HOA or a business or even just an individual home that’s feeding into the flock system and recording your data. So it’s coming now from a private camera going into a private system that law enforcement is accessing and mixing in with the cameras that they are contracting for as well. That’s pretty concerning. When we look at Flock has this interesting website page that says, think big, start small. Four tips to fund new police technology. It literally says here, build community stakeholder support for law enforcement technology, engaging city councils, local businesses, and community organizations in discussions about technology benefits, particularly how this tech can boost the local economy. Exploring public-private partnerships where local businesses or homeowner associations contribute to funding law enforcement technology solutions. That’s pretty interesting when you start saying, okay, they’re talking about roping in private camera feeds. We already know they’re doing it with Ring now. And then they’re literally saying on their website, this is a way that you can fund us and make us money as a company.
SPEAKER 12 :
Wow. Wow.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, they go on. And this is particularly inflammatory because I see the winds of change are happening with civil asset forfeiture, it seems. I just read a new case out of the Supreme Court. Something happened in Alabama, and now the Supreme Court justices are starting to change. Gorsuch and Clarence Thomas wrote some really good stuff on it. But this company is literally asking… For civil asset forfeiture funds, if permitted, departments can allocate seized criminal, which remember, civil asset forfeiture is seized before your due process. So just the fact that they’re saying criminal assets is inflammatory to me. But it says asset forfeiture funds, if permitted, departments can allocate seized criminal assets towards public safety technology upgrades, i.e., You know, if there is a stop and the police take civil law to forfeiture, we want that so we can put our camera network further out and further out.
SPEAKER 12 :
Wow. This is of real concern because if we are in a total surveillance state, we really are losing our liberty, Mike Rolick.
SPEAKER 09 :
I would say, and, you know, driven by profit, which is fine in a free market, but then to say, you know, if you make a stop, take that person’s money possibly, and then give it to us. So, so we can put more cameras out so you can help, help make more stops. I, you know, it, it, it then becomes kind of that, uh, self-replicating nightmare at that point. When I was getting a little further down into this, it says alternate funding streams investigate opportunities to raise funds through programs such as VIN verification programs, jail commissary funds, or collaborations with other city departments to finance technology. Sales and marketing is a rather powerful thing. And if you’ve got a relatively good sales force, a really good sales force, you can almost convince anybody of anything. Right. So so you’ve got the sales force. And I think that’s the danger of having private companies involved directly in law enforcement is because now they’re selling law enforcement on specific concepts. Then going fighting the court cases and saying we are constitutional, we are OK. And then saying, because we’re constitutional here, go buy our stuff. And by the way, seize citizens’ money before due process and give us that money to fund us. This is a very bad precedent.
SPEAKER 12 :
It is a very bad precedent. And you referenced public-private partnerships. And there’s real danger in those. And that’s also something that the World Economic Forum pushes. And basically, with public-private partnerships, as government and business get in bed with each other and the citizen is left holding the bag or in this case being surveilled. And I don’t think the founders ever thought that that should happen. And certainly they were also concerned about surveillance as well. And with convenience, we give up a lot of our rights and just we don’t even read these privacy agreements, but we go ahead and sign them because of convenience. It’s just a real problem. And it’s like, who owns all that data? That’s another question. Let’s get to the next subject that you had here. And going back, when you said you did the CORA request, the CORA request was regarding flock. Is that right?
SPEAKER 09 :
Correct. So my thought process would be a two-part process, pragmatically. If everybody who’s interested goes out and says, well, I want to engage in city council and talk about flock, well, we’re finding some of the decisions are made by a city police department or a Jeffco sheriff, in my case here. So go into county or city. might not help because the law enforcement side is making these decisions potentially. However, there have been some successes that I’ve been hearing about. But the other side is getting the actual contracts and saying, where does the IP lie? And this is kind of born out of that Washington State decision, I think Saget County or Skagit County, if I’m saying it correctly, where under Washington Open Records Act, Because the actual footage is owned by the agency, i.e. the city or county or the police agency, then it fell under Washington State Open Records Act. And so this was challenged in court. And the citizen won that because it was. held footage held by a city or County and that flock safety was just doing the job for the city or County that that footage then is subject to an open records act request. I did try. So after I got the city of Nevada, um, contract, it looks similar to, to what we were seeing in, in, in that, that court case. And it does say the footage would be owned by the city. So I went ahead and did a core request to the general, um, clerk and was told that that would then have to be sent that same request would have to be sent to arvada police when i went to the arvada police it looks like their statement their boilerplate statement on their website would say that you have to be the individual in the request i.e i can’t just request camera data from this hour to that hour on this day, I’d have to be specifically involved like in a records request, like, you know, hey, my own records. So I have to kind of sort through that and see if there’s anybody out there who’s had success, you know, obviously. Please call in and let us know. And then I also ran into a really cool website called deflock.org, where it’s a nationwide effort, but there’s a lot of stuff going on in Colorado. I’ve been in contact with, I think it’s the owner of the website, and discussing back and forth about everything. There’s a lot of good resources. They’re mapping out where the flock cameras are. And they’re talking about how to engage city council professionally, of course, you know, and talking points. And they point towards certain landmark cases. And there’s a letter from Senator Ron White in about flock and how 35 accounts were stolen and hacked. So it’s a very interesting Web site. And I’m just diving in. There’s a lot going on in that site. But. Yeah, my next task is try to figure out how to do the Open Records Act request successfully in Colorado.

Well, I would say this is outside of our Ralston Valley Coalition because that’s primarily land use. Okay. I don’t know the best way to reach me. I think we need to work that out. Maybe I’ll have a better answer next week. Okay. I haven’t really given that some thought.

Since you and I talked last month, the Colorado PUC is targeting natural gas and trying to force us to electrification as a power source. And this is from a piece over at Complete Colorado by Jay Fockelman. He said the regulatory news around Colorado’s natural gas utilities just got a whole lot tighter. And this is going to be really… uh… expensive maybe not even uh… achievable uh… for everyday coloradans and how we see our homes uh… which is this is it’s almost crazy to me at bob boswell what’s your thoughts about this whole thing well it is crazy and it’s not achievable we have a lot of invested in our existing power and i think most people don’t understand that you know uh…
SPEAKER 06 :
fuel efficiency is important. Coal and natural gas, in particular in these utilities, power stations, they converted about a 70% efficiency. If you take solar or wind or other non-fossil fuel, that efficiency gain is perhaps 30% at best, and it’s not reliable. So they’re guiding us towards a system of electrification that is not achievable, and it’s going to cost the state and its people a lot of money. We’re already being subject to fees, which are really taxes that are creating the cost of fuel and the development of natural gas and our natural resources more expensive. It’s in the name of climate change, and it’s in the name of
SPEAKER 12 :
environmentalism and those sorts of things which are all you know good things that we need to understand and focus on but not to the detriment of the quality of life for the cost of living in the state of colorado well bob uh… in the research i’m doing people that i’m talking with is and as you know we did uh… the climate conversation documentary uh… i think it was about three years ago when it’s a project of walt johnson’s and uh… He and his wife, Ramey, they financed the whole project because he wanted to have just a discussion about all this regarding climate. And the climate does change. In fact, I remember when I was on city council, I was out taking a look at the new dam, the Reuter Hess Dam. And we’re driving around, and I said, what’s that over there? And they said, oh, that’s some fossils of some palm trees. And I thought, well, so it was a lot warmer at one point in time here. And so the climate does change. The real question is, and the whole agenda, is that man… is really affecting that, and then the narrative goes. And because of that, and all the conveniences, all the things that we have as blessings, they’re trying to say is bad and go after it, I think, in the narrative of climate change. So the climate does change, but I think that’s a given. But just how much man has to do with it, that’s a whole other question, I think, Bob Boswell.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, it is. You know, I think that, you know, one of the issues is not necessarily climate change, because the climate does change. And a lot of it has to do with the rotation of the Earth around the sun and the angle of that rotation. And that changes over thousands of years. And so you have these natural climate changes. And, you know, the rate of change may be mildly accelerated by human beings. But if you look at the, you know, the larger equation, and that’s the number of people on Earth right now. We’ve gone from 4 billion to 8 billion. And that causes increased demand for food and other things of nature, energy being another one. And most of this population development is being in the underdeveloped countries of the world. And so that’s what’s putting increased demands. And it’s something we can be met with and dealt with, but not when you have policies that don’t foster the growth and the support of that growth, but go work against it with unrealistic types of alternatives that aren’t going to fulfill whatever demands there are from mankind on Earth.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and this, and Colorado seems to be at the tip of the spear. My understanding is this is the first, it’s called the Clean Heat Plan, which I’m renaming it the Unaffordable Keep Coloradans in the Cold and Dark Plan. And… My understanding is this is the first kind of regulations in the country. And Colorado, these policies in Colorado, we’re starting to see the effects. People are moving out. People used to just speak about Colorado with such… affection and yesterday I had former state senator Kevin Lumber gone and he said he was in a national meeting and when he said he was from Colorado he said almost everybody said oh I’m sorry and so we’re we’re at the tip of the spear on this that’s why you know that’s why we’re fighting in this battle of ideas on this because we’ve got to reclaim this with this beautiful state because Bob I think you and I both love this state but we’re in trouble
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, we are in trouble. You know, we’re following California, and a lot of people are leaving California. Unfortunately, they’re coming to Colorado and bringing some of those same notions that have really affected California negatively to Colorado. And it amounts to leadership, but you might recall the Colorado blueprint, which Governor Polis and three other wealthy individuals put together some 20 years ago, and it was how do you turn this state from a you know, a conservative state to a liberal state and bring those liberal ideals with them. And unfortunately, those liberal ideals don’t take into account the reality of mankind and what incentivizes people, what really puts the priorities in the right context. So this has been something that’s been changing in Colorado for a long time, and we need new leadership. And, you know, the Facts in Colorado, the population density is on the front range, and the front range has different views than, I think, the western side of the state. But the population dominance is there, and we have these liberal ideals, and they’ve been being presented and voted upon. We don’t have a balanced legislature yet. You know, we’ve got an entirely Democratic-denominated legislature, and they’re putting in these policies that are not in the best interest of the state in either the short run or the long run.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and I think it’s important that we continue to let people know that this Democrat Party, particularly here in Colorado, is not the Democrat Party of JFK or your grandpa and your grandma. This Democrat Party… is they’re radical activists pushing an agenda that ultimately the everyday person loses on. And I was talking with a friend about this, and they came up with the term, because we were talking about Mondani in New York, It’s crazy. Of course, they have ranked choice voting there as well. And thankfully, we were able to defeat that on the ballot last year, which is amazing because there was over $14 million that was put in to try to get Coloradans to vote for it. Fortunately, we dodged that bullet. on that particular, but they’ll be, last year, but they’ll be back. But we were talking about Mondani, and my friend said, it’s many of those liberals up on the Upper East Side, you know, the very wealthy New Yorkers that are putting people in office like Mondani, and we’re seeing this all over the country. And my friend suggested that really what they are is they are champagne communists. They have no idea that, you know, the real consequences of these these policies. But ultimately, it’s there are those that have power and then there’s everybody else. That’s all of us. And the regular people don’t do well under communism. But I thought that champagne communist comment was very appropriate. What do you think about that?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, I think there’s an element of that. And I think that. It’s true in any society where you have some very wealthy individuals, families that often is inherited wealth, and they have these ideals that they can help the rest of the world by not taxing themselves, but taxing everybody else and putting in these policies which… They sound good on paper but aren’t realistic. So I think you have an element of that, but I think it’s larger than that. I think there’s some foreign money that’s coming in, you know, deliberately trying to put in these different types of policies, advocating those, funding those that they know will work against the American system. And I think that’s something that’s not as widely recognized as it should be.

Here in Colorado, there is this war on our naturally occurring hydrocarbons of oil, natural gas, and coal. I think we look to the Trump administration with confidence some hope for some help. What are you seeing on the national level, Bob Boswell?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, I think there’s some impetus on the national level. I think if you look at, in the state of Colorado in particular, a very large percentage of the land is federal. In the western slope, which is the area where we operate and produce natural gas, 70% of the lands that we operate on are federal lands. And in the past, the Fed, the federal and the state have an agreement where they would abide by and work with each other in terms of regulations. I think what you may see in Colorado is the federal government’s going to look at this and saying that these fees, these regulations that are being imposed upon the development of federal lands are inappropriate. We have in Colorado a state government that’s out of control on spending. They have a deficit, I believe, something like $1.2 billion. And they are trying to get around the Tabor hack illicitly by putting in fees. And they’ve put in some, I think, 20, last count I heard, and I know it’s probably higher by now, is 23 to 25 fees. A lot of those directed towards oil and gas development. More recently, we have now a new production fee, which is a production tax, which is going to further increase the cost of energy in the state of Colorado. So it’s being passed on to the consumer. Unfortunately, it’s going to impede the economics of development. The state has a goal of being fossil-free or zero emissions by a certain date. which is going to be realistic because you have several hundred thousand cars going up and down the street, and those won’t be entirely electrified. So we’ve got unrealistic policies, unrealistic goals, and using these as elements to increase taxes in the form of fees in the state of Colorado.
SPEAKER 12 :
So, Bob, you’re referring to this production fee, and I have this volunteer gig with a bunch of other volunteers, call us crazy, to watch legislation down at the Statehouse. It’s the Colorado Union of Taxpayers, and it’s all volunteers. And I should say thank you to this group. And when you see them, say thank you. That’s Steve Dorman, Greg Golianski, Russ Haas, Bill Hamill, Rob Knuth, John Nelson, Wendy Warner, Marty Nielsen, Ramey Johnson, Mary Jansen, Dave Evans, Corey Onozorg, Paula Beard, and Ray Beard. When you see these folks, say thank you, because it’s a monumental task. We watch the legislation change. down at the legislature, and then we take positions. And we’re looking at things regarding property rights, how legislation affects the taxpayer, protecting TABOR, which Bob mentioned, the Colorado Taxpayers Bill of Rights, and parental rights. And so it was Senate Bill 24-230. And it was an oil and gas production fee. But as I watched that whole thing transpire, I was, I’m going to say I was really frustrated because the big three, it was Occidental, Chevron, and is it Cedric? Civitas? Civitas. Civitas. They made this agreement and basically to say that the legislature was not going to institute new legislation on the oil and gas industry for the next few years. But they made that deal without…
SPEAKER 06 :
all of the independence knowing is my understanding and and the independence I think it hurt a lot more than the big guys so what what’s your read on that well I I think that they were headlinked the governor call them in and you know this was the grand bargain and these companies will admit that they were headlinked now because we’ve had discussions on that but the governor called them in and said in exchange for agreeing to these fees, we will have no new legislation. And so they felt, well, for three years or something like that, as I recall, and they thought, well, that probably would be beneficial. And so they agreed to that without consulting any of the trade associations or any other of the oil and gas producers, to my knowledge. So it came as a surprise. That has not stopped. It’s not legislation they’re doing. It’s regulations they’re doing. So they’re using the existing legislation to pile on these additional regulations. So totally hoodwinked on that. And it’s a shame. I think they regret it that they were called in. It was almost… It was a total surprise to them on short notice. What they thought they were doing was in the best interest of the state and the industry, but it turned out it was just a ploy to… Get them to agree to some of these new fees.
SPEAKER 12 :
Wow. I think I’m going to use hoodwinked as a word of the day probably tomorrow. That’s a good one because I think that’s a nice way of saying something else that has occurred. So we’ve got a couple of minutes left. You mentioned third world countries, and I know that you know now Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, and he’s made presentations about energy poverty, and instead of trying to create energy poverty here in America, where everyday people can thrive and prosper, it seems like we would like to keep that prosperity going here. And of course, naturally occurring hydrocarbons, oil, natural gas, and coal are a big part of that. So instead of trying to shut all that down, it seems like we would want to try to bring these developing third world countries up. And the way to do that is to address energy poverty there. And so instead of making us poorer,
SPEAKER 06 :
dragging us down I think that we need to bring you know I would encourage us to help us and you know help people in third world countries to have the energy they need for their lives as well Bob well we’re fortunate to have Chris Wright a Colorado native is Secretary of Energy he and his staff are doing a great job of bringing things along in the US he has a much broader view and he’s written a two or three publications on energy development, the importance to mankind. And he’s a valued leader that we’re fortunate to have.

Well, we really are lucky to have that. So we need to continue, Bob, to shed light on what’s happening, these regulations. Everyday people don’t know what’s going on there, but it will affect their lives. And so I really appreciate these conversations. And I said, oh, well, I’ll call you some other time because I don’t think I can get there in time. They said, well, could you get here by 915? And I said, well, let me check. And I could, and so they accommodated me so that I had one of their delicious calzones last night. So again, that’s Little Richie’s Pizza and Pasta in Parker and Golden. I’ve got so many different pieces of paper. But it’s important because that keeps us organized. Here we go. Let’s see. George Patton was born in 1885. He died in 1945. And he died from injuries from a Jeep accident, which is just amazing. But he was a general in the United States Army. He commanded the 7th Army in the Mediterranean Theater. in World War II and then the Third Army in France and Germany. And I have, as you know, with America’s Veterans Stories, I’ve interviewed many World War II veterans. And I remember interviewing a guy who was one of the logistics. And he said it was difficult as veterans. As Patton was moving through Europe, fighting the Nazis, he was moving so quickly that it was hard for the supplies to keep up with him. But he wanted to get a job done, and so this was what he said. He said, “‘Lead me, follow me, or get out of the way.'” And that is General George Patton. And our word of the day is corrigendum. And it is an error-imprinted work that’s been discovered after printing and then shown with its correction on a separate sheet. And again, I need to check the text line. I’ll do that during the break. This was the word corrigendum. It’s spelled C-O-R-R-I-G-E-N. D-U-M, and that was submitted by one of our listeners. And if that was you, let me know. I’d like to give you credit for that. And let’s see here. I think let’s talk a little bit about this petition that we have for Tina Peters. She is languishing in prison in Pueblo at the La Vista Correctional Facility. And The humane thing to do, the humane thing for Governor Jared Polis to do is to release her. And she apparently is having a possibility of a reoccurrence of cancer. And the accommodations, my understanding is they’re not great. Her 97-year-old mother is in the hospital. And so the humane thing to do would be to release her. And my understanding also in reading the county clerk’s letter, our county clerk’s association letter, is that they, and I think this is just cruel, that they say keep her in prison because we don’t want her to be able to say anything about these issues. And that’s wrong. That is just wrong. So we are calling on Governor Polis to release Tina Peters by Christmas Eve. And you can sign that petition by going to my website and just sign the petition and then share that with others. Because the humane thing to do, particularly a great thing to do at Christmastime, would be to release her. And every year since he’s been in office, Governor Polis has issued pardons or commuted sentences. And in fact, just last year, He pardoned 22 people, commuted four sentences, and those pardoned people included two murderers, one bank robber, and one rapist. And so here’s Tina Peters, who maybe had a traffic ticket before this whole thing, and she’s languishing in prison. This is not okay in the United States of America. And so sign the petition to have her released. And again, we call on… Governor Jared Polis to do so because that is the humane thing to do. I think probably one of the biggest news stories out there is this whole thing in Minnesota. And this is from the Sacramento Bee. It says, an indictment alleges a billion dollars in the fraud scandal. And it says the Small Business Administration Administrator Kelly Loeffler announced an investigation into a network of Somali organizations in Minnesota, saying the groups may be tied to a large COVID relief fraud scheme. Loeffler said numerous individuals and nonprofits Indicted in the $1 billion Minnesota COVID fraud scandal, including Feeding Our Future, received Small Business Administration PPP loans in addition to other state and federal funding. I’ve ordered an investigation into the network of Somali organizations and executives implicated in these schemes. You know, looking back at all that COVID money out there, it was just free money that was just being disseminated there. And as that was occurring, it didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that that was going to be a problem. But the article in the Sacramento Bee goes on to say, the probe will examine whether groups and individuals indicted in the alleged $1 billion, that’s $1 billion, Minnesota fraud also obtained PPP loans fraudulently. The review will look at eligibility, citizenship status, and the legitimacy of nonprofit work. And that is, again, one of the things that has happened with these nonprofits. And it really goes back to the income tax amendment. Once you start taxing income… uh… that becomes that you’re taking your taxing productivity so my understanding is is they said well gosh there’s churches and that are at that are are a religious organizations they’re providing care for uh… yet hospitals uh… elderly and that they should be taxing like okay no okay non-profits we’ve been you know don’t have this non-profit status well now again this is a big loophole that you can drive a truck through because we have all of these if they get non-profit status and we see this over on even on the political side on both sides of the aisle they get non-profit status then individuals can give money to that and deduct that and from their taxes and their income taxes and so of course this then creates this big complex on this. I really think that what we need to do is get rid of the income tax and get everybody back on a level playing field. I know that’s somewhat pie in the sky, but I think that that would be a good idea. But let’s at least get taxes lower and lower and lower. But anyway, it opened up the opportunity for exactly what has happened on a grand scale. And so it’s no surprise that that actually happened. Hi, Kim. Happy mid-December. It’s almost half over. Christmas is around the corner.

Can you believe it? I can’t.
SPEAKER 05 :
No. Yeah, I know.
SPEAKER 12 :
Which means planting season is right around the corner for our farmers. Isn’t that the truth? It is. But I want to start with something that we talked about last week, because you are not a fan of Donald Trump. And I said, I think that he’s done some really good things. And I had Dr. Brian June depth on on Monday, and he’d written a piece regarding that Congress is really seems to be slow walking on getting his nominees approved. And and many of the things that he’s done from an executive order, not getting that codified into law. And so three things that Dr. Jundep said that he was very successful in is energy, mining, and land use reforms, cost efficiency, anti-waste, and the bureaucracy reduction measures, and then immigration and the border security. So I agree with him. I think that there’s been some positive things in that arena. What’s your thoughts?
SPEAKER 05 :
The energy situation is a complete debacle, and people are not looking at what’s really happening just this week. Thanks to my friend Kevin Kinney, I got the latest chart, and the natural gas prices have increased by 57% in the past 12 months. And while we continue to give lip service to these energy policies which are in the right direction, it’s not. We are in a very vulnerable state from an electric standpoint, and this natural gas situation increase of 57% is huge. And that is in the same week that he is going to sign. He’s made it very clear that he’s going to sign an executive order, which are unconstitutional, and mandate that all states comply with one rule on permitting of AI data centers. We cannot supply the resources needed for the AI data centers that are currently in progress and been permitted, let alone what they’re planning to come.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, and that is a very valid point. I will tell you that I actually was able to fill my gas tank up and paid $1.78 a gallon. So I thought that was pretty amazing.
SPEAKER 05 :
What was the cost of the gas that had no ethanol in it?
SPEAKER 12 :
I don’t know.
SPEAKER 05 :
It was probably $0.55 higher. So why is the subsidy so significant that there’s a $0.55 spread between an ethanol blend and the regular gasoline? Particularly when you keep in mind that the gas is delivered to the gas station by the petroleum companies, not the ethanol companies. And what’s really concerning, and this happened under Trump, you have a dollar per gallon going to the ethanol producers basically just to shut them up and keep them quiet in this renewable fuel standard measure. But the gas companies buy the ethanol from the ethanol plant. and sell it at a 55% discount over the product that they produce on their own refineries because they make more in the production and the selling of ethanol than the ethanol producers make in producing it. How can that be long-term sustainability?
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and this whole ethanol thing didn’t just happen under Trump.
SPEAKER 05 :
It’s happened… 100%, but the dollar per gallon tax credit did.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and you and I both agree that these tax incentives, these government grants, we’ve got to work to make those go away. So that’s going to bring up the next issue. And you’ve shed light on the fact that. Many of our farmers and ranchers are struggling because of high property taxes, and it pushes them into considering deals regarding these industrial solar and wind projects. And so Trump has acknowledged that there’s challenges, and the tariffs have, I guess, created challenges. So he has said that there will be $12 billion that’s going to go to farmers and ranchers. What’s your thoughts on that?
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s absolutely another step towards total control by the federal government. And it’s not new. He did the same exact thing in his first. And the interesting thing is that when he did it in his first term. I was the one taking on the soybean and the corn farmers who were telling me, this is a bad thing. We can’t have this. We’ve got to have the government out of intervention of markets and just stay out of it altogether. If the government wasn’t intervening in the middle, we wouldn’t have these problems. I was on the Trump Ag Advisory Committee. I was being misled about what his real intentions were. And so I was the one arguing with these farmers like, no, Trump’s doing the right thing. We’ve got to get this going long term. I was wrong then. I see now where that government intervention and why is it that we continue to do the same exact thing? He knew exactly what he was going to do this year, this term, because it’s what he did last term. And at that level, if you look at the growth in government as a result of all these programs, it’s unparalleled in what is supposed to be a conservative presidential campaign, a presidential party. It’s not conservative in any way, shape, or form. And I got one other thing I want to say, Kim, because I know there’s a lot of people just ready to type and wear their fingers out. Because I have so many friends that were in that first administration, and I have a friend that I promised to keep anonymous. He is no longer a part of the team, and we had a very heart-to-heart discussion last week. He’s as concerned as I am, and he is the person who actually put together the transition team and completely lost control.
SPEAKER 12 :
So, Trent, I’m concerned about things that you’ve mentioned. Now, I’m not sure I’m going to use the term unparalleled, because what we saw under the Obama-Biden-Harris administrations is tremendous taking of our individual freedoms. And So I’m not sure I would agree with that word, unparalleled. And the other thing is this whole intervention into the farming and ranching community, it began way back… 1933. Yeah, the 30s.
SPEAKER 05 :
1933 was FDR, no doubt about that. But you should look at the growth of government. I mean, I’m not, I know what Obama, but here’s the thing. Every time I start walking through this, people want to compare because this is an everyday occurrence for me now. People want to say, well, my goodness, you support Kamala Harris? No, absolutely not. We were given a sub-50 below zero option over Trump because they didn’t want the Democrat to be the person to be elected. That was by design. Even the growth in government under Obama, if you look at the numbers, is incredible. Completely inadequate, inadequate is not a good word, minuscule compared to what the growth in government was under Trump 45. Then Biden, with particularly the Inflation Reduction Act, which is the end-all, be-all of so many great programs, that just went to a new level. And now the next Trump, every single term, government just keeps getting bigger. At some point, it can’t get any bigger, and it won’t. It will crash.
SPEAKER 12 :
But what about Doge?
SPEAKER 05 :
Because, you know, I’ve seen tremendous information has come out this week about Doge got rid of all of the competing programs to the businesses that Elon Musk was not a part of. And the programs that he is a part of have got tremendous acceleration and new contracts from the government. That was complete debacle of what misrepresented of what it really was. And I can get you all of that documentation.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, because we better get that, because you’re right. People are going to be taking issue with this. But I agree with you. We need to be reducing the size and scope of government, not making it bigger. And I agree with you. We need to be getting rid of subsidies and government incentives and government grants. Now, this is a really tall order, because… Because government has gotten so big. But we’ve got to work on it. That’s all. We’ve just got to work on it. It is a great question. I’ve reached out to Brooke Rollins, Secretary of Agriculture, which is my bailiwick, so to speak. I have not reached out to Chris Wright, which I should do. But Brooke Rollins continues to ignore me and will not even address me. In fact, if you’ll remember, Kim, in August, when some of this kind of came to a head, and it was August 17th, she made the statement that no more farmland would be covered up with wind or solar, effective immediately, and it’s hit a new level. I mean, one county last week in Iowa had proposed projects from wind and solar, both from NextEra. By the way, NextEra, owned by two people close to Trump, Black Rock’s majority owner, NextEra. And then you have Kander Fitzgerald, which is Howard Lutnick, who is Secretary of Commerce. And these NextEra projects are just on fire. Every day somebody’s telling me about a new proposed project. That was Floyd County, Iowa, for anybody that wants to look it up. But I’ve not reached out to Trump himself, but I am told by, again, people that I know on the inside that Trump’s not even talking to his own cabinet members other than the publicized meetings that we see on TV.
SPEAKER 12 :
You know, Trent, I… I find that hard to believe, but you’re closer to that than I am. But it seems to me like he puts good people together and then tries to listen to them, and that’s how he’s been so successful. And of course, there’s his book, The Art of the Deal, which I have. I need to read that. I struggle with this a bit. Let’s go over here.
SPEAKER 05 :
I want you to explain something to me. He put good people. Who on his team? I’m going to give you Chris Wright. And that’s probably because I met Chris. I interviewed Chris. I had a great relationship with him. Secretary of Energy. Who else on that team is good people?
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, I agree with you, Chris Wright. I do also have to admit that I think that you were right regarding Kristi Noem because, you know, I’ve seen, as you mentioned, the Jets and then giving this contract to her cronies. So valid point, valid point on that.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, you got Scott Bissette, who was George Soros’ right-hand man for 12 years, who’s the secretary of Treasury. And that was just announced this week that he and his husband have had to sell their 25,000 acres of land, farmland, in North Dakota. Ironically, Kim, you know how, and I didn’t know this until this week when I saw this piece, and he actually was on Face the Nation talking about that he has to sell this 25,000 acres of farmland. How does this guy who’s George Soros’ right-hand man, a London banker, own 25,000 acres of farmland in North Dakota? And you know how on a regular basis I kind of talk about some of these land use issues that we’ve had in North Dakota? Turns out Scott Bessette’s land is in those five counties, Burley County, Kidder County, Eddy County, Wells County, Hanson County, the very five counties that I’ve always been talking about problems with land easements and wind and solar. And here’s the Secretary of Treasury, Scott Bessette, that owns them all. Howard owns land in all of those counties. How does that happen? And then you have Howard Lutnick, Secretary of Commerce, who had 800 businesses when he went there. I even got people in D.C. who don’t say anything bad about anybody because they’re part of the D.C. crowd, and they’re like, just don’t even bring up Howard Lutnick with me. Because this guy’s bad news, and that’s his two right-hand men. And Kristi Noem, apparently she’s on her way out because now it’s been discovered that she’s been having an affair with Corey Lewandowski. That was public in 2022. Everybody knew that in 2022. So why all of a sudden is an issue now? Trump knew that when he appointed her.
SPEAKER 12 :
OK, well, I look at I look at where we were headed and we were headed off a cliff. And when I talk with I talked with Daniel Turner with Power of the Future. And he’s been very positive on Trump and many of his policies towards naturally occurring hydrocarbons and said that Trump is at least trying to get us back on the road. And so I don’t want to beat up on Trump. I want to encourage him.
SPEAKER 05 :
We were talking about the people he surrounded himself with. And the other person he surrounded himself with was Doug Burgum, who’s the head of the Bureau of Land Management, who controls the majority of that energy production in the United States. And he was 100 percent financed by Bill Gates during two governor campaigns and for his run for to be president of the United States running against Donald Trump. The people he surrounded himself with tells the whole story. So what do we do? We activate people locally, and here’s the biggest problem I have and why I’m so aggressive in making sure people understand this. There’s so many people sitting back thinking that we’ve got the right team and the right people in place, and they’re going to take care of all these problems. And so I just want to expose all of this because I want people to say, just like Kim Monson did in Kiowa, Colorado, I’ve got to show up and be heard because I can’t sit back and rely on anybody else to take care of my future. You have to activate and do it, you being everybody collectively.
SPEAKER 12 :
Right. And it takes an enormous amount of time. And I don’t feel sorry for me, but I missed the company Christmas party last night so that I could go to Kiowa and testify. And I sent you over the video of me testifying last night just so that you knew that I had done that.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, outstanding. But did you notice what I, you know, the biggest thing I noticed beyond your brilliant testimony?
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, you’re probably going to say that there weren’t many people there.
SPEAKER 05 :
The chairs were empty.
SPEAKER 12 :
But the reason is because I was one of the last ones to testify. When I got there, it was standing room only. And it started at 5 o’clock. And after I sent that over to you, I thought, you know what, people could get the wrong impression because there are empty chairs there. But it was 8.30-ish or maybe 8.15-ish. And the meeting started at 5 when I gave my testimony. And I thought, yeah, I need to be careful about sharing that because it can give the wrong impression.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, well, it did. But I knew that Kyle had packed the house. Elbert County has been very forthright. I mean, that’s the reason it has not been permitted is because of the people. I mean, this is a perfect case in point of what needs to happen.
SPEAKER 12 :
And for people, if they don’t know, is that Xcel Energy is doing a big land grab for an industrial transmission line from industrial wind and solar projects. And I think some of those may not have been built yet. And so so they’re and they’re trying to fast track this. Now, my understanding is they’re trying to fast track it to try to get out in front of the reduction in incentives. But that’s you know, that’s something that we’re talking about. But anyway, they’re trying to fast track it. They’re trying and wanting to take people’s land via eminent domain land. the albert county commissioners voted to deny them the permit so like a little kid they went to the public utilities commission and asked for permission and that so there was this hearing last night and again it was standing room only when i got there and that’s important to let people know that
SPEAKER 05 :
Outstanding. And I have all the faith in the world of people, Albert County, because they’ve proven that they are willing to show up. But here’s what’s going to happen next. And you’re beginning to see that now. No different in Laramie County, Wyoming. These companies will be relentless. They will not quit. And they’re counting on people getting tired of showing up and taking time away from a Christmas party to go somewhere. say their piece and make a presence. And in most counties, that wins. Morton County, North Dakota, last week approved one of these projects. And they approved it after the third time it had been presented to their county commission. Three times. They just keep presenting it until people just get tired of fighting it, and it wins a day. And every time that happens, every bit of it is about what you just said, taking control of the land.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and I made that point in my remarks last evening. And one of our listeners said, hey, take a look at who owns Excel. And the largest shareholders are Vanguard has almost 13% of the shares, and then BlackRock, Larry Fink. I think they’re a 9.1%. Well, the report that I got, it was just under 8%, but it’s significant. And I said that ideally that Excel should be providing reliable, efficient, affordable, and abundant power for their customers. But instead, because of this, that Excel and the Colorado government, they’re in bed together, they’re pushing this agenda of the World Economic Forum. And ultimately, so… And then they would have a return on investment if they were providing for their customers. But you throw in this land grab, which is exactly what this is, and it changes everything. And so that is where we are right now. And, gosh, people were talking about losing property values as much as 40%, 45% because of these projects. and then these different companies then have this land or control of the land. If you can’t do with your land what you want to, then you don’t really own your land. And so that is really the play, and you’re absolutely correct on that, Trent Luce.
SPEAKER 05 :
And last week I was challenged that Larry Fink has no influence on Donald Trump. Was I able to prove that wrong in what I sent to you?
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and again, one of our listeners, and I thank her for that, she said, because you said that he was one of his financial advisors. And she said that she had done a web search and could not find that that was true.
SPEAKER 05 :
No, she went to the WhiteHouse.gov and said he was not listed at WhiteHouse.gov, which he’s not. But it’s very clear that he has been meeting with him. There are three times we know of that were very public meetings, one of which was just in September. He is taking marching orders from Larry Fink World Economic Forum.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. Well, another listener said, I thank God that we have Trump. He is far better than the alternative. But they say that, yes, he might be part of the swamp as well.
SPEAKER 05 :
I’ve got a question.

Everybody in the conservative movement, strangely enough celebrates bobby kennedy being appointed to health and human services would you agree to that yes yes let’s just say what if what if kamala harris had won and god forbid we would i mean i don’t know that we would be any worse but certainly not any better

I think we’d be really worse.
SPEAKER 05 :
I don’t. I don’t. Because at least here’s what I do respect about that faction. At least they tell you what they’re going to do. What I’m really concerned about now is somebody’s telling me what they’re doing, which is the exact opposite of what they’re doing. So that’s not the discussion. The question is, if Kamala Harris was president and had nominated— Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Health and Human Services Secretary. What would the conservatives of this country said? Same guy, same message, same plan.
SPEAKER 12 :
Generally, well, because it was Kamala Harris, probably would be reticent. But I would be excited because he would be doing things that I think are important, and that is shedding light on the connection between pharmaceuticals and autism and questioning these vaccines. I would be excited about that.
SPEAKER 05 :
I took on Bobby Kennedy personally for… well, basically 20 years. And nobody in the conservative movement ever wanted to hear the name Bobby Kennedy. And all of a sudden, because Trump nominated him, he’s the answer. And if Kamala Harris had nominated him, the conservatives would be just going ballistic.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, that’s probably true, because politics, yeah, that’s probably true. Okay, we’re going to continue on. Well, I don’t know that. That’s that’s conjecture. I don’t I don’t see how he could have beat Trump. I know that there are a lot of people that I know and respect were really supporting him. I do know that. So, OK, let’s go to some of my world.

All said they would have voted for him as president over Trump.
SPEAKER 12 :
Not in my world. I had many people that would vote for Trump. So, okay, next question here. Is there any possibility that we can get rid of ethanol altogether in fuel as engines do not like ethanol? And she also says, I don’t like $12 billion going to the farmers because that’s socialism. In saying that, I’m also very worried about the small farmer as these large conglomerates are taking them all over and shutting them down. This is a conundrum, I would say. Yes? Yes.
SPEAKER 05 :
It is a conundrum, and I would challenge anybody to go look at who’s actually going to get that $12 billion because you’re going to be sadly disheartened that it’s not going to the farmer that you want to protect. It’s going to the farmer that’s causing the problem, and that farmer is the Scott Bissetts of the world, not the farmer who takes care of the land.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah. Okay. Okay, next thing here. Question coming in. Did Bassett build wind and solar on his land in North Dakota, or did he protect it?
SPEAKER 05 :
I’m actually, I have two calls in to county commissioners. All of this has come to my awareness since Sunday where exactly his land was. I knew that he owned land in North Dakota. Now that it became public, I’m finding out exactly what has happened with that land. I can’t answer that question yet.

Kim, I just want the other comment about Trent’s gotten really hard to listen to because of his trauma. All I’ve ever said is show where I’m wrong. Just anybody that disagrees with me, just show me where I’m wrong. And I will admit that I was wrong.

Well, I’m gravely concerned about what is happening with the natural gas. Just as a reminder, we had two natural gas pipelines coming out of Wyoming through Nebraska that was very instrumental in getting natural gas from the oil fields to the places that need it, particularly for home heating. In 2025, and now going to be the first part of 2026, they’re trying to convert one of those natural gas pipelines into a CO2 pipeline headed to Wyoming, displacing 33% of the natural gas that people need. One reason why natural gas is 57% more expensive today than it was a year ago. But more concerning than that is for the folks in northeast Colorado and southeast Wyoming that do not know what is happening with burying CO2 8,000 feet under the surface of that part of the country. It is so dangerous. It leads to seismic activity. And somebody needs to grab the ball by the horns and say, we’re not going to let that happen in our backyard.
