Welcome to Call to Freedom and Happy New Year. Wow, what a, I thought it was a long weekend, but I got a lot done. Oh, praise God. A lot of my files were changed from 2025 to 2026, getting those tax returns ready. oh but i do it early so that i don’t have to look at april 15th oh i hope you’re doing the same thing start each day with a prayer of thanks for the joy you feel when you spend time in god’s presence i believe many of you listening today start your day get out of bed you start your day with oh this is the day that you lord have made i will rejoice and be glad in it and that’s how our day starts and we know that god is going to be our joy Whatever happens that day, that joy will not depart from us because God promised he would never leave us or forsake us. Praise the Lord. Let’s do our Monday Bible slogan. Wow. New year. Brand new year. That has never been before. So let’s take advantage of it. Oh, this is my Bible. I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have. I do what it tells me to do. This is my Bible. It has given me new life. It is the Word of God. And as Darren says, God has more provision than you have need. Did you hear that? God has more supplied up there. in heaven to bring down into and be manifested on this earth, then you have even need. And just think of the eight billion on this earth. Kimberly reminds us of that often. And we’re reminded that God treats each one of those people differently. for the very sake of their salvation, because he loves them so much. Praise the Lord. So we know that when we are in the word of God, when we’re learning from him, we’re going to be at our very best, at our very best. We’re going to be successful in everything we try. God bless you, and I hope to see you on Saturday, January 10th. You probably have all heard of the invasion, the large-scale strike on – it’s not an invasion. They did a strike, large-scale strike on Venezuela, Caracas, and the headquarters of Maduro. And President Trump called for that strike, and – They captured Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cicely Flores. And the couple has been indicted to the United States, and they just appeared in court, and they proclaimed their innocence. And Trump has accused Maduro of running a narco-terrorist organization. And the experts the Guardian spoke to agreed that the United States is likely to have violated the terms of the U.N. Charter, which was signed in 1948. You know what? I think he’s been wanting to get out of the U.N. anyway, so this is one way. Maybe they’ll kick the United States out. No, we pay one-third of the bill of the United Nations. Why would they kick us out? This is stupid. If you look at the world and you depend on the world, friend, U.N. You’re going down a lane that is impossible to ever meet in Jesus’ name. At the same time, the U.S. has been carrying out the largest military. I wondered about that. Did you wonder why the buildup in the Caribbean and all the ships and the planes? And, you know, I should have known. President Trump is one that plans ahead. And it included thousands of troops. And they’ve been working on this for months. And advanced drones, fighting jets, guided missile destroyers and cruisers. And most dramatically, the aircraft carrier USS Gerald Ford has been there in the Caribbean. So special operations helicopters as well as fighter jets have been flying missions. Oh, if you would have seen, well, I’m sure you did see the explosions in the capital city. And I thought it was the 4th of July. And they had just really – in fact, they had made a replica of the safe house where Maduro and his wife lived. So they had really done their job, done the business that needs to be done. And why did we do this? Well, when Maduro – or was it Chavez? It could have been the last of Chavez’s term – And Maduro came in. They threw out the U.S. and all the oil companies. So the infrastructure that had been built mainly by the United States for the oil in Venezuela – I’m not kidding, you know, and oil is important – It is the U.S.’s. So they have absconced with billions of dollars of U.S. industrial material and all kinds of things. And Trump is not going to do what Biden did in Afghanistan, just leaving millions and millions of dollars of equipment there in Afghanistan. No. And so he went in there. And he is designating them as a terrorist organization and identifying Maduro as its leader. And a lot of people will agree with him. The president made this move because of the millions of kilos of meth and cocaine that have been brought into this country. by countries, namely Venezuela and Colombia. And President Trump has taken great measures to ensure the safety and welfare of our young people and those who are vulnerable to taking drugs. I wish this would have happened much sooner because there are many millions of people who have suffered, and the Venezuelan people have suffered tremendously. I remember when Tony started building his home. That’s when we joined him in 1996. And he started building a little house all by himself, cinder block, and a property that he had bought just west of Caracas. And it was called Home of Refuge, and that’s what they named it. And Darren and I went on board with him. And he encountered great opposition when Chavez was in rule. And then when Maduro took over and has ruled with an iron fist, leaving people starving, tony had to escape they were after him and i don’t know if it was dead or alive but they were after them him and we know that people that came against the government chavez’s government and maduro’s government they would be tortured and they would be shot and many of them had been killed because of that so we know that um this is a time when I am behind him 100%. I believe those people need so much help. And I remember when Tony was there and he had to leave. He had to leave the 60 children. He had built up that compound to be absolutely beautiful. And we helped him with wells. We helped him with all kinds of things, the building of the dormitories and the stocking of the kitchen and the new refrigerator and stoves. And so they took that all, took it all. And the children were scattered. So I am I’m grateful. I just wish it would have been sooner that Tony wouldn’t have had to leave the home of refuge there. But we go on and God is in his project in Peru. And I’m grateful for that. And thank you so much for giving to Tony in the home of refuge. And it is in our newsletter every month. So if you go online and look up the newsletter, you’ll find the little article on Tony on page three. Our memory verse for this week is Genesis 17, 1. I am God Almighty El Shaddai, the many-breasted one. That means he meets the needs of every need. Walk before me and be blameless, having integrity and seeking the truth. And I will establish my covenant between me and you, and I will multiply you exceedingly. That means for Abram at the time that God was going to promise him to be a great nation, in fact, covering the earth. And he hadn’t had one child. Can you imagine? And he was elderly. Can you imagine what he was thinking when he said, and you will be the father of many nations? In his flesh, he must have said, God, God, don’t you see? I have no children. It’s so precious. I mean, I would be the same way. Message translation of Genesis 17, 2. When Abram was 99 years old, God, 99, God showed up and said to him, I am the strong God. Live entirely before me, living your day focused on me. Live to the hilt. I’ll make a covenant between us and I’ll give you a huge family. Here he was, 99, no children. Overwhelmed, I’m sure, overwhelmed, Abram fell flat on his face. Then God said to him, This is my covenant to you. You’ll be the father of many nations. Your name will no longer be Abram, which means exalted father, but Abraham, meaning I am making you the father of many nations. I’ll make you a father of fathers. I’ll make nations from you. Kings will issue from you, establishing my covenant between me and you, a covenant that includes your descendants, a covenant that goes on and on and on, a covenant that commits me to be your God and the God of your descendants. God made his promise to you forever. And that’s for us, too. Oh, friend, that’s for us, too. That was before the law was initiated. So we can take those promises as our own covenant of God that he will never leave us. He will be with us forever. And he said, I’m giving you and your descendants this land where you’re now just camping. this whole country of Canaan to own forever and all be their God. Oh, so from here to Wyoming and Kansas and Nebraska and New Mexico and Texas and the western slope of Colorado. I hope I don’t leave out anybody. I’m saying to you, we have got nations here to listen to the gospel of Jesus Christ. And I’m so grateful. and honored to be on the radio and tell you of wonderful things that God has prepared for us. Praise the Lord. At the beginning of a new year, it’s always in my thoughts to begin to read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Yep, I do that. This is my 51st year. Fifty-one years. It seems like just yesterday when I started and started underlying. I have a four-color pen, and there are several years. Oh, it was probably after maybe five or ten years after I’d been reading the Word of God, and I underline what God says in red in the Old Testament because it’s not underlined in red, and I think it’s just as important as the Jesus letters. So I started underlining with a pen. The red in what God says, the green in what men say, what Abraham said to God, I underline in green. And then the blue is for my journal. The black is for the different geographical locations. So I had that all taken care of. But I said, God, what if this pen no longer is made or produced? And I’m sure he just laughed. He’s looking at me and says, Barbara, if I have told them to create a pen so that you can underline, don’t you think they’ll continue? And here it is. Fifty-one years later, I’m not the same pen. I’m not using the same pen. I’ve used multiple pens. And, in fact, some of you have given me pens for presents, the four-color blue pen. And you can find it anywhere, at Walgreens or anywhere. But I just had to laugh over this because my thoughts were, oh, I may not have a four-color pen pretty soon. Oh, forget it. Don’t let those ifs and those doubts and that unbelief come in and say, oh. I may not get this, or I don’t have this, or what if I don’t get it? All those ifs and whats, they’re killers. They are killers. They’ll kill your faith. So at the beginning of this year, I’m thinking about, okay, here’s my Bible, 66 books here, Lord. What are we going to do about this? He says, you’re going to learn, you’re going to read, you’re going to study, you’re going to learn all of the behavior of the people that lived in these books. And then people will listen to you and you will spread the word about my love. Oh, praise the Lord. So I’m going to read and I’m going to absorb and I’m going to learn what the people of this word, what this Bible is all about. I’m going to learn about their behavior, about all their unbelief and what unbelief did and also what faith did. We got to learn that, folks. See, their emotions and times of going through trials are so much like ours, even thousands of years apart. I want my heart to be obedient to God’s heart as Abram was when he left all the familiar and his family to strike out to a land that was foreign to him. See, we’re strangers. We’re foreigners. Our relationship with God is in heaven and in the spirit, not in the body. And that’s why we have to conform this body to our spirit through our mind being renewed every day. Yep, that’s it. That’s what it is. So I’m grateful. I’m learning what Abram did. I learned that he’s a friend of God. And even Paul talks about him in Romans 4 and also places Hebrews 11. Oh, and as you read about Abraham, you realize that every time he stopped somewhere or had a word from God, he built an altar. What dedication. He truly was a friend of God. And I appreciate that so much, friends, that when you, just today I read a couple letters. I appreciate your broadcast so much, Barbara. And just keep it up. Thank you. You are filling a void in my life. Oh, it’s just, it’s beautiful. And it’s not me. It’s not me. Hallelujah. Well, thank you, Father. I ask God to open my mind and my heart to the things he wants to teach me, the new things that I don’t know about yet, so I can convey them to you. Oh, how can I fit everything that Holy Spirit is going to teach me into this mind and heart of mine? And I’ve got to clear my mind and heart of all the extraneous things, the news, the sports, and all. I like football. Yes, watched football this weekend. And you say, Barbara, how can you watch football? I was watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, and they were playing Baltimore Ravens. And what a game, back and forth and back and forth. And finally, it got to the last minute. And it’s really amazing play. And I love their quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, because he wouldn’t get the vaccination. And so they let him go. So I said, he’s a guy for me. So I followed him. And he’s a born again believer. And I’m so grateful. But a minute was left. And the Pittsburgh Steelers were ahead two points. So the Baltimore Ravens just marched right down the field, and they got to the 40th-yard spot where the kicker was going to kick a field goal. And I said, oh, no. sure all of us who were for pittsburgh said oh no lord and he missed it he missed the field goal well most of the ravens had already been running because they thought they had won and all of a sudden there’s this hush in the stadium i mean it was such a shock and aaron rogers hands both went up both of his arms went up in the air it was amazing and you say why do you watch things like that well Sometimes when I’m doing like the tax returns and getting all the files done and I’m at the counter in my kitchen and I can just listen and do that while I’m watching. Also, do you know that every player on every team is a creation of God? He’s created in the image of God. And so God is concerned about each and every player, each and every person in that stadium. God is thinking of them. And so I am praying for them. I did. After the game, I said, Father God, we have a big project. Talk about reading the Bible. We’ve got a huge project, Lord. And it was like, yes, I know. I know. It’s been a project for thousands of years to win people to my heart, my heart that loves them, and also to save them through the blood of Jesus Christ. So so we’re getting along here and I’ve got so much to talk about. But I want to tell you. Expect something absolutely wonderful this year. Out of the box, great, unlimited. That’s what I’m going to be doing. I know I’m up there in years, but I’m going to be expecting those wonderful things. Here’s John and me. I just feel like something good is about to happen.

I just feel like something good is about to happen. I just feel like something good is on its way. He has promised that he’d open all of heaven. And brother, it could happen any day. God’s people humble themselves and call on Jesus. And they look to heaven expecting as they pray. I just feel like something good is about to happen. And pray. This could be that very day I have learned in all that happens just to praise him For I know he’s working all things for my good Every tear I shed is worth all the investment For I know he’ll see me through, he said he would He has promised I, your ear, can hardly fathom All the things he has in store for those who pray. Oh, this could be that very day. You know, I don’t hit those high notes on the third octave anymore. I don’t do that. But I have the excitement of the Lord Jesus in my heart. And if you’re like me, I don’t really need more books to read. I really don’t. I have got, if you were in my house, you’d see hundreds and hundreds of books. And in my office, another hundreds of books. All I need is the quiet peace and confidence that Holy Spirit is going to teach me about. And that’s all I need to be successful in my endeavors this year. Folks, just think. All you need is Holy Spirit. John tells us in 1 John 2, 27, chapter 2, verse 27, I am writing these things to warn you about those who want to lead you astray, those that want to keep you in the world system. But you have received Holy Spirit and he lives within you. So you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know. And what he teaches is true. It is not a lie. Oh, such affirmation and such confirmation and such confidence is built up when we know that as we read the Bible, this is the truth. This is the truth that the world is looking for. So just as he has taught you, John goes on, remain in fellowship with Christ. Some events in this world are truly breathtaking and they’re extraordinary, but we can’t even begin to imagine what God has prepared for you. If you filled a jar with beautiful fruit or food and you wanted to store up to the brim and try to get more in that jar, it will hold. Well, you’re wanting to get more in that jar and it’s already full. You’re going to have a mess on your hands because a full jar can’t hold any more than what it is made for. It’s like we ask God to fill us with revelation knowledge, and then our mind has been taken over by appointments and a list of things we’ve got to be done that day. And I know because I’ve just put the 2026 folders in the filing cabinets, and I’m getting ready for the income tax returns. And I don’t let that take over my thoughts. And these figures and numbers, they could take over and keep me in a dither. Don’t you love that word? That’s an old word, dither. Confused and running around. So all these headings and these expenses and the income, that’s for the world. For some reason, we have to abide by the laws of the land. And I have the daily things, the laundry, grocery shopping, mailings to the post office, and being on time to the radio studio. And some of those things we do, they’re almost automatic, but other things take thinking and planning. The thing I ask Holy Spirit is to keep me continually aware of him in my life. So these extraneous things don’t overtake me and get me so distracted from whom I am in Christ Jesus. Who are you in Christ Jesus? You’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. As Second Corinthians 521 tells you. So this is the utmost importance to me in my life. is to get as close to God as I can in this earth suit that I’m in, and that you would also follow God and follow the Lord Jesus Christ in this life. Deeper, deeper walk, a deeper, deeper walk, so that you can daily write down, God, I love you. This day has been wonderful, and I appreciate all that you’ve done for me.
