SPEAKER 01 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This morning, I’m going to continue sharing with you a message that I preached in one of our Victorious Faith services called Keys to Breakthrough, Part 1, The God of the Breakthrough. So join me now in our live service for the continuation of this message, Keys to Breakthrough, Part 1, The God of the Breakthrough. The goodness of God is laid up for us. The goodness of God is stored up for us. As we read in Psalm 33, 19, he has stored up his goodness for us. And there’s treasures that are waiting for us every single day. Hallelujah. We have to believe that we have to expect that. Then keys to breakthrough. Number two, you have to believe he is good. And cast down every contrary negative thought. We have, let me start by saying this. We have supernatural weapons that have been given to us. And in my radio series, I’ve talked about some of those, but our weapons are supernatural. Second Corinthians 10 verses three through five say, for though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. The King James says they’re not carnal. They’re not natural. They’re not of the flesh. And that’s best. I like flesh. They’re not of the flesh. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God. And we take captive every what thought to make it obedient to Christ. So we have an enemy and I did a series called the law of spiritual authority. And then I did some lessons called knowing your enemy. You’ve got to know your enemy because the enemy comes in to steal, kill and destroy. And if you don’t know your enemy, then he is able to steal from you. And so we must know the enemy and the devil is limited to this world. He is bound to this world. Actually, God cast him down and bound him to this world. First Corinthians 10, 13 says, no temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. So the temptations we have or the trials or the tests are common. They are not of a supernatural realm where we have no authority or power over them. They are all of this realm. Satan is bound to this realm. And he can only use tactics that are common. That gives us the advantage because the weapons we fight with are not of this world. So let’s compare these scriptures. Satan is bound to this world. He is bound and limited to only being able to use tactics that are common to man. God put him in that boundary. But he then gave us weapons that are not of this world, that are not carnal, that are not fleshly, that are not common to man. They are supernatural to the pulling down of strongholds. So where Satan is bound and limited in what he can do, we are not. Hallelujah. Satan is bound to what is fleshly. We are not. Our weapons are not fleshly, are not carnal. Well, what are some of the made weapons he gave us? The name of Jesus. Now, I don’t think any one of us, no matter how much we’ve studied, has ever really gotten even very much light and depth on the power of that name. the name of Jesus. Now, is that a fair fight? If we use the name of Jesus on the devil, he doesn’t have a chance. I mean, talk about this is what do they call a rigged game or a setup? It’s a rigged game. It’s set up. Satan is bound to what’s common and carnal. And then God gave us the name of Jesus. I mean, he doesn’t have a chance. We can be victorious every time. I mean, he has no defense. None. Because Jesus stripped him, Colossians 2.15, and made a public spectacle of him, made a show of him openly. Jesus stripped him and made a public show of him. I shared that that was the expression for making a parade of him. Jesus paraded him as a defeated, stripped foe. And shamed him openly. And that name is the name of Jesus. So that every time that name is used in faith by a born again Christian. You don’t have the right to use the name of Jesus if you’re not born again. Remember the seven sons of Sceva. They said in the name of Jesus whom Paul preaches. And then one demon possessed man jumped on them all. Stripped them naked and they ran out bleeding. They didn’t have a right to the name and it didn’t work. It didn’t work. A demon possessed man overpowered them. But if you’re born again, you have Jesus living in your heart. And Jesus said in John 14, I give you my name. Let’s look at that. I want you to put your eyes on that. You have a right to use the name of Jesus. Go to John 14 and verses 13 and 14. And I will do whatever you ask in my name so that the son may bring glory to the father. You may ask me for anything in my name and I will do it. He gave us his name. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. So in John 14, Jesus gave us his name and you have the authority to use his name. But an unbeliever does not. So you have privilege and authority to use the name that is above every name. Philippians chapter two, verses nine through 11. Philippians two, God gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord in heaven, on earth and under the earth. That’s Philippians two, nine through 11. And so you have been given the name of Jesus. You have been given a supernatural weapon that Satan has no defense for. That name already defeated him. That name already stripped him. That name sends him running, scared, running, scared. Hallelujah. If you’re born again, all you have to do is repent. You know, if you’re backslidden, all you do is everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Even if you’re in a backslidden condition, all you have to do is say, Lord, help me. And he’s there. It doesn’t matter. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. And then once you’ve called on the Lord and you’ve turned to the Lord, and especially when you’ve said, Lord, forgive me, I’ve messed up. I’ve done wrong. then you have authority to use his name. Because let me show you, I want to clarify that. If you go to James 4, 7, good question. What about the backslider? James 4, 7, submit yourselves then to God. Then what’s next? Resist the devil and he will flee from you. But notice, resist the devil doesn’t come first. There’s something that comes before resisting the devil. What do you do before you resist the devil? Submit yourself to God. It’s only in submission to God that you have authority over the devil. Because of the spirit of rebellion, the devil is rebellious. And if you are also rebellious to God… then you don’t have authority over the devil, the spirit of rebellion, because you’re yielding to the devil. If you’re not submitting to God, you are submitting to the devil. The devil is the spirit of rebellion. And so you have to be submitted to God to have authority over the devil. And if you’re not submitted to God, you’re submitted to the devil. And if you’re submitted to the devil, you can’t rule over the devil. But all it takes is a moment, a split second. Lord, help me. Forgive me. I’m wrong. Turn around and say, in the name of Jesus, devil, I command you to get out of here. And you have authority. As soon as you bring yourself under submission to God, as soon as you call on the Lord, as soon as you yield and submit, it can be a split moment. And immediately you’ve got that authority over the devil. And you can turn and rebuke the devil and cast him out. And you can have the victory. Hallelujah. It doesn’t have to be a six-month proving time to prove that you’re submitted to the Lord before you have authority over the devil. It doesn’t have to be a proving time. God answers the heart. God knows the heart. And the devil knows when you’re not being honest also. And so if you’re just putting it on, it’s not real. And then there’s no real authority there. But if there is a true heart turn and a change, there’s immediate authority then given to you in the name of Jesus. And you can submit to God and resist the devil in the next second. And he’ll flee from you. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Praise God. So, yes, you have authority in the name of Jesus. We also have the blood of Jesus, which is powerful. The blood of Jesus cleanses, heals, delivers, protects. We also have the word of God, which is the sword of the spirit. Ephesians chapter six. And those are just three of the weapons. Last year, we also were teaching on praise and the power of praise. I want to get back to the sword of the spirit. The sword of the spirit is the word of God. It’s a double edged sword and it pierces. And I like this example. I’ve said this before, but it’s worth repeating again and again and again. When you speak the word of God into your situation and using it, resisting the devil, you are jabbing that sword again. And I like to jab and jab and jab and jab, twist it a little bit and just go, take that devil and take that devil and take that quote another scripture and take that and take that. You know, no matter what your situation is, if it’s healing, then you take those healing scriptures by his stripes. I’m healed. Take that. He himself carried my sickness and my disease. Take that. God said, I am the Lord who heals you. Take that. You know, I will live and not die. Take that. He sent forth his word and healed them. Take that, you know, just give him one after the other and take that devil, take that. And then you’re also using the word to speak life into your body because the word is life. Jesus said, my words are spirit and life. So whatever thing in your life needs to live. If it’s your body, if it’s your finances, if it’s a marriage or family relationship or something else, God’s word is life.
