Now join me in our live service for the continuation of message number four. What is the word light, life and health? Psalm 36, nine says in your light, we see light. What does that mean? That means that in his word, as we study it and meditate on, On his word, we will see and understand more and more and more and more as long as we keep seeking. As long as we keep seeking more light, light produces more light. Light produces more light. And you get that light and it opens up to you another level of light. Have you ever felt like you’ve gotten a revelation and it took you to a whole nother level? Well, that’s what the kingdom of God revelation was for me. I’d seen the parts. I’d seen the laws. I’d seen the power of words. I’ve seen the law of faith and love and authority. But when I got the revelation of the kingdom of God. and how it is the system in which all those laws work together to create and produce everything that there is in the kingdom of God, all that’s available, it took my whole understanding to another level. I got a light that brought me to a whole other level of more light. And more light. So you go on to know the Lord. More and more. So light produces more light. In your light. We see more light. And we get more if we keep looking. If we keep looking into the word for more, we will see more and more and more and more. As you begin to get revelation, then it starts coming more and more and more as you seek it and look for it. It will stop as soon as you stop looking. You get bored and you turn away and go do something else. No more light’s going to come. But as you seek and look for it, you’re going to get more and more and more and more. And that is reading the word, but also listening to teachers who are anointed with revelation of the word. They are given revelation to open up to you. God gives teachers and preachers hope. the word of God to open it up to more people. And so listening to preachers, that’s one way I got a lot of the revelation, especially the foundation and the beginning of what I understood came through the teachers. And then God began expanding it more in me. But I got revelation, and I still do get revelation from teachers that I listen to. Or they take it to another level. It’s the same subject. I mean, it still may be faith. That I’ve been studying my whole life. But it took it in another angle. Another dimension. Another application. Another strength of it. And there was more light added to it. So as you seek it and look for it. In your light we see light. Matthew 13, 12 to 16. Whoever has will be given more. There it is. whoever you can put in this, whoever has light, whoever has understanding, light, understanding, whoever has light and understanding will be given more and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have light or understanding, even what he has will be taken away from him. Then This is why I speak to them in parables. So Jesus said this is why I speak in parables. Though seeing they do not see. Though hearing they do not hear or understand. In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah. You will be ever hearing but never understanding. You will be ever seeing but never perceiving. God forbid that should ever be me or you. Don’t be that person. You hear and hear and you never understand. You never perceive. Don’t be dull. Don’t be callous, for this people’s heart has become calloused. They hardly hear with their ears. They have closed their eyes. They closed their eyes. They did it. Otherwise, they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn. I would heal them. I would bless them. I would give them breakthrough and victories. But he said, blessed are your eyes because they see and blessed are your ears because they hear. You are blessed. God says you’re blessed when you can see and understand the word. When you get revelation of the word, you are blessed. You are one of the blessed ones. I’m a blessed one. I thank you, Lord. I’m a blessed one because you give me revelation. If you want that, say, thank you, Lord. I’m a blessed one. You give me revelation. I get understanding of your word. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Holy Spirit. Those who despise the word of God or think little of it will lose any understanding they might have. It’ll be lost. It’ll be snatched away from them. Remember the seed sown on the path, the parable of the word sown. It was sown on the path and the birds came and ate it up. The birds ate it up. It didn’t even sink in. That’s some people. They heard it. It didn’t even get in them. It was taken away. What little they had, it was taken away from them. They lost it. Now, I want us to look at this in 2 Peter 1, 16 through 19. It gives a great picture for us. This passage written by Peter, 2 Peter 1, 16 to 19, refers to when Peter, James, and John were with Jesus on the mountain of transfiguration. They were the three with him on the mountain of transfiguration. When Moses and Elijah came down on the mountain. And in a light, a glorious, glorious light surrounded Jesus. And his robes were as light as the sun. And as the voice spoke from heaven, this is my beloved son. And so this is referring to the vision Peter is writing about. the vision they saw on the mountain of transfiguration. In verse 16, he said, we did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. But we were. Peter, James, and John, I mean, Peter would say James and John and I, we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. We saw the transfiguration and glory. For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the majestic glory saying, this is my son whom I love. With him, I am well pleased. Peter continues to testify. We ourselves heard this voice. It was an audible voice, you could say, that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain. The sacred mountain, the mountain of transfiguration. And we have the word of the prophets. made more certain. You could also say but. I would actually prefer the word but in there because it’s more of a contrast than an addition. The word of the prophets is referring to the Old Testament. We have the word of the prophets made more certain. The English Standard Version says, we have something more sure. The prophetic word. So what is he saying? We were eyewitnesses beholding his glory. We saw the glory on him. We heard the audible voice of God from heaven with our physical ears. We saw with our physical eyes. We heard with our physical ears. This is where I think the word but could be used here. But in contrast to that, However, we have the word of the prophets. That’s what he calls the Old Testament. More certain. English Standard Version. More sure. The more sure word is the prophetic word or the written word. word what we already have in writing from the prophets and that was all the old testament i mean everyone who wrote even moses david all of those that wrote they were the prophets and all that they wrote those were the writings of the prophets So, even Psalms and Proverbs, it would all be included in what they called the writings of the prophets. It was the written word that they had on scrolls. And he said, we have something more sure. Okay, we saw glory with our eyes, the transfiguration of Jesus right in front of us. We heard an audible voice from heaven speaking. But, There is something more sure, more certain, more solid than a vision of Jesus and transfiguration and a voice from heaven. It’s the written word. We have something more sure, the word of prophets more certain. And the King James actually says, we have a more sure word of scripture. And you will do well to pay attention to it as to a light. God, Jesus, God, the Father, the Holy Spirit, through Peter, is saying, pay attention to the written word as light. To a light. Look at it as a light. As to a light shining in a dark place until the day dawns. Until there’s a dawning in your heart. Until the morning star rises in your heart. What is that? Revelation. Until there’s a dawning in your heart. That’s revelation. Understanding. And above all, you must understand that no prophecy, prophecy of scripture. So this is talking about the word of the prophets, prophecy of scripture. So right here in verse 20, we understand that the prophecy or the words of the prophets or the prophetic word he’s talking about is that of scripture. What you just heard was the message I preached in a series of messages in our victorious faith services called What is the Word? And this is message four in that series called What is the Word? Light, Life, and Health. And we will continue this message again tomorrow. So join me again tomorrow and remember God loves you. You are blessed and highly favored by the Lord.
