This episode explores the concept of spiritual defense, drawing an analogy to shields used in ancient warfare. Cherri compares these shields to the shield of faith, highlighting how believers can create a protective barrier against life’s adversities. Discover how to strengthen weak areas of faith and apply God’s promises to various dimensions of life, from health to finances, ensuring a comprehensive spiritual fortification.

SPEAKER 02 :
Good morning. Welcome to Victorious Faith. I’m Cherri Campbell. This morning I’m going to continue sharing with you a message that I preached in one of our Victorious Faith services called, What Are You Seeing? What Are You Saying? So join me now in our live service for the continuation of this message, What Are You Seeing? What Are You Saying? And so I want to ask you tonight, what kind of faith do you have? Are you operating in the natural kind or the God kind? And now let me explain what the difference is. The difference is, is that the natural faith is faith that’s common to every human being, saved or unsaved. An atheist has the same. Because it’s believing. See, remember, get back to the word faith is believing. Believing is faith. Natural faith is believing what you see with your eyes. Natural faith is believing what you see with your eyes. Yeah, I see that. I believe that there’s a door there. I can see it. I believe there’s a chair here. I can see it. Everybody has that. The worldly phrase is seeing is believing. Seeing is believing or it’s believing what you feel. In other words, it’s based on evidence that you can see and feel. There’s got to be proof. There’s got to be evidence that is tangible, that can be seen or felt. And so when you talk about being healed and believing you’re healed, then it’s when you feel healed and you go to the doctor and the doctor gives you a good report that you’re healed that Then you say, yeah, I’m healed because it’s believing physical evidence and proof. But the God kind of faith believes what you cannot see or touch or feel. No evidence exists except God said so. God said. So it’s based on God’s word. Now you can’t just make up anything. You know, some people say, yeah, I’m going to be a trillionaire tomorrow. They want to talk big. Well, where did God say? Okay. You got to come back to what did God say? But there’s a lot in here that God said that you can’t see or feel. Now, to some degree, everybody who’s a Christian has the God kind of faith. To some degree, at least. How many of you believe Jesus is real? Raise your hand. How many of you have seen him? I’m talking about have you seen with your physical eyes and touched with your physical hand? See, that’s the God kind of faith, believing what you don’t see. How many of you believe heaven is real? Have you been there? Why do you believe? God said. The Bible said. So you see, in that element, you are using the God kind of faith. You have no evidence that heaven is real. None at all, unless you’ve been one of the few that have been there and come back. And there have been many, actually, that have been and come back. But there are few in comparison to how many people are on earth. And if you’ve not been there and come back, you have no personal proof that heaven is real. But you believe it. Why? God said that is the God kind of faith. And are you fully persuaded? Amen. I’m fully persuaded. Now, you’ve got to take that same kind of faith and carry it over to everything God said. Now, it’s easy to believe what God says about himself. He’s holy. He’s awesome. He’s powerful. He’s righteous. But the big test, when you come to what he says about you, like, whoa, can I really believe that? And he says a whole lot about you. He said you are his beloved. He said you are the righteousness of God in Christ. But he also goes on to say by his stripes, you were healed and And you are healed. It also says that you are made rich. He was made poor so that you would be made rich. So now we’ve got to use the same principle of the God kind of faith when there is no evidence and you don’t see it and you don’t feel it. And there is nothing in the world that looks like it. But you believe it. And you believe it is truth and you believe it is reality right now, not in a future day. Faith is now. And I’m getting a little bit ahead of myself here, but let me stop here a minute and give this example. This is the test. And it can be one situation to another. Your faith can be at different levels. Because I have talked about you have to have faith for all areas of your life. Faith for one thing is not the same as faith for everything. And some people, they grow their faith stronger in one area than another. I mean, it’s like working your arm muscles more than you work your leg muscles, right? and work in one muscle more than another muscle. So one muscle is strong, but another muscle might not be. Well, your faith is the same way. You might be really strong in one area and pretty weak in another area. So you’ve got to strengthen the weak areas. Now I have talked about the areas of our life. Well, let’s go back and I’m just going to throw this in here. Ephesians 6, 16 talks about the shield of faith. Ephesians 6, 16 talks about the shield of faith, taking up the shield of faith. Now in the Greek, there are two words for shield. In the Greek New Testament, there is one word for shield that is the round shield. And it was the shield. It was really the hand-to-hand combat shield. Round shield. The old Romans did. You remember those old movies? I wasn’t alive then. The other shield is a door-like shield. It’s tall and rectangular like a door. Literally, a man can stand behind it. And these door-like shields, a whole line of soldiers could put their shields side to side, side to side, all the way down the line, and they’d make a wall. A solid wall. And they could have another row number two behind them. And the second row of shields would sit on top of the first row of shields at an angle over their heads. So that the bottom of that second shield was on the top of the first shield. And then make it like a roof above their heads. And then they could line them up across. Well, what have you just made? You’ve made a shelter. What is that for? That’s for the barrage of arrows. That’s for the arrows. So the arrows, if they came up high and over, they could be blocked by those shields that were made like a roof over them. And remember what Paul said, taking up the shield of faith wherewith to quench the fiery darts and arrows of the evil one. So we need the big shield. This isn’t a hand to hand combat that you just do with a little shield. This is to block the barrage of arrows. Well, now you are one person, but you need to keep up a wall of faith around you. And you need to, in your own life, put up shields side to side, side to side, all around you, encircling you so that on all sides you are encircled by your shield. Now, I look at nine areas, if I can remember all nine areas of life. And the Lord, I just saw that the other day. I thought nine lives. No, nine areas of life. No, you’ve got areas. You’ve got your physical health. You need to keep your shield strong for your health. You’ve got your finances. You’ve got your family. And you’ve got your work. You’ve also got peace of mind that has to be protected, right? Okay. Health, finances, family, work, peace of mind, and future. Your future is covered. Faith for the future. Marriage. Your marriage is an issue if you’re married or if you want to be married. You have to have faith for your marriage and children. I said family. All right. So anyway, focus on those. Those are the key ones anyway. And you can have strong faith for your finances and low faith for physical health. People who are developed in being good at making money and business and they’ve done well financially their whole life, their finance faith is high. But then something comes along and attacks their body and they haven’t equipped that as well. They haven’t built that muscle. It’s like using your right arm but not much on your left arm. Now you find you’ve got to use your left arm. Got to build up that muscle. So when you see that there’s an area of your life you have not built faith in, you’ve got to go in and build your faith on that subject. Oh, I know another one is your protection from danger. That’s important. Driving down the street, you’re not going to get in a car accident. Getting on an airplane, you’re not going to be in a crash. Going into a federal building, you’re not going to be hit by a terrorist bomb. Whatever. your protection from danger. You have to have faith that you’re protected. A lot of people in the world just feel like they’re victim of circumstances. Well, you don’t have to be. You can be protected. protected by the blood, protected by the angels, protected by your shield. So you have to keep your faith for your protection from danger as well. And so go into the word and we’re gonna get to this, but take the promises of God specifically for each and every one of those areas. And if you’ve built in one area, but let another area go weak, then you better take some time and focus on that area. And say, I’ve got to build my faith up for my healing. I’ve been doing well over here in finance, but I need to build up my faith for healing. Or then something happens with your children. It’s like, oh, I better go build up my faith for my children. God is going to watch over my children. He gives my children peace. He teaches my children. He guides my children. He watches over my children. My children are saved. And, you know, there’s people that worry about their children. You’ve got to change worry to faith. Because just for your information, fear and worry, worry is fear, are the opposite of faith. They work in the opposite direction. They produce what you fear instead of, like faith, producing what you believe. So if you allow worry and fear to speak to you every day and you don’t do anything about it, Out of the abundance of your heart, your mouth is going to speak. And then you’re voicing your fears. And once you’ve voiced it, you’ve given Satan the license to start working on it and to make it happen. Whereas with faith, when you voice your faith and you believe it in your heart, and of course you can’t con God. God knows the real from the phony. But when you are believing and you speak it, then the angels get to work and start to bring it to pass. So who do you have working for you? It depends on what’s coming out your mouth. If fear and worry are coming out your mouth, then the devil’s working for you. But if faith is coming out your mouth, then the angels and the power of God are working for you. What you just heard was the continuation of a message that I preached in one of our victorious faith services called, What are you saying? What are you saying? And we will continue this message again tomorrow. So join me again tomorrow. And remember, God loves you. You are blessed and highly favored by the Lord.
