SPEAKER 01 :
Welcome to Called to Freedom. Oh, friends, God has blessed you with the ability to achieve your goals. He has given you the ability to do that through Holy Spirit who lives in you, the courage to pursue your dreams and the faith to believe in his promises. I know when Darren was praying for those gas wells. Those empty, rusty gas wells in Rock Springs, Wyoming, of all places. Oh, God gave him the faith to believe. And it took nine years. But, oh, folks, when it came through, when the gas came through those lines, it came gushing through. And I’m so grateful to God that I saw this great miracle. And that’s why I can believe that God is going to give you the faith to believe in his promises and the courage to pursue your dreams. Those dreams, oh. It’s like Darren used to say, you can’t take my dream away from me. And it’s so true. When we’ve got a dream that is a godly dream, God is there with you. He really is. You are blessed to dispense for in him you live and move and have your being. And what a privilege it is to talk with you every day on the air. And Fridays are encore shows, and I wanted to do that. I started that probably about a year in after Darren left, because his… voice, just his voice alone is so anointed. And so I hope you’re able to listen to some of the Friday shows. If not, you can go to freedomstreet.org, click on radio shows and listen on Fridays to Darren and his wonderful teaching, his anointed teaching. I’m so glad he was my teacher for 14 years or I wouldn’t be where I am today. Oh, and, uh, More and more of you are going online to donate to Call to Freedom, and I really appreciate that. You just go to freedomstreet.org and you hit that Donate button, and it’s really easy. So thank you so much for doing that. And those of you who are sending it via post office and giving me notes of encouragement, oh, you do not understand and know what that encouragement means to me. So thank you so much. I love hearing about you, hearing what’s going on. Like some of my friends in Greeley, my special power partners, they’re going to Arizona for a couple months. And so I’m praying for them. And that’s the way it is. When you give me a need or something that you’re praying for, I go into gear immediately. and I pray for you. I want you to know that. You may not hear from me, but know that my prayers are going up for you. Our memory verse for this week is Psalm 18, and I include 19 because it’s just so good. 18 and 19, and here’s the message of Psalm 18, 18 and 19. This is a prayer that of King David, a long prayer, but a beautiful prayer. And you can find that also in 2 Samuel 23, where he is praying that prayer. Those who hate me hit me when I was down, but God stuck by me. That is so good. I’m going to say that again. Those who hate me hit me when I was down. That usually happens when you’re discouraged or depressed or you’ve gone through a real sad period. That’s when the devil loves to knock you down again. But God, but God stuck by me. He stood me up in a wide open field. I stood there saved, surprised to be loved. True, when you get through with a really challenging situation, you are amazed that God is with you. He promised in Hebrews 13, I will never leave you. I will never forsake you. Praise the Lord. Here’s the passion translation from Psalm 18, 19 through 22. His love broke open the way and he brought me into a beautiful, broad place. Just think of it. Use your imagination, that imagination that God gave to you. And just think of you walking into a beautiful clearing, a broad place. He rescued me because he delights in. And that’s one thing I’m doing. It’s wonderful to learn scripture, and I’m learning it. More and more every day so that I can have it in my heart at night when I wake up, maybe in the middle of the night. It’s so good that I have scripture down in my heart because then I can begin to quote scripture as I’m lying in bed. Oh, what a wonderful thing. I’ve kept my eyes focused on his righteous words. I need to read this article sent by Selena just one more time. It’s so significant to the Savior and Lord that we are serving Jesus Christ, who is going to come again as the Lamb of God. And Revelation talks about the Lamb of God that is the only one that can break those seals. So it’s not only fascinating to me, but it’s a confirmation that of what God has been doing for us folks in the interim. I mean, it’s not just a dress rehearsal here. It’s going to be the final call one of these days. Oh, praise God. And if you think this antibody from the blood of lambs is coincidence, you are ignorant. of god’s ways and the things that he does for his people just the smallest things he does for me i know that he’s doing the same for you as you believe and you have faith that he’s doing it here’s from the sheep herder one more time i’m going to read a rattlesnake bit one of my sheep in the face about a week ago it’s the deadliest snake that lives around here The sheep’s face swelled up and the bite hurt her terribly. But the old rattlesnake didn’t know the kind of blood that flows through sheep. Anti-venom is most often made from sheep’s blood. My sheep swelled up for about two days, but the blood of the lamb destroyed the venom of the serpent. Okay, here’s where we’re going to go. I was worried about the sheep, but the sheep didn’t care. So the sheep herder was worried about his sheep, but she didn’t care. She kept on eating, kept on drinking, and kept on climbing without a care in the world because she knew she was all right. Don’t worry about the serpent or the bite, the attack. Just make sure the blood of the lamb is flowing through your veins. And that’s what the enemy loves to do. He loves to get us distracted from maybe the word we’re saying from the Bible or or something that we’re doing in fellowship, he loves to get us distracted so that we look at the problem, we look and worry about everything that he brings into the arena. But just cast those down, all those evil and vain imaginations, 2 Corinthians 10.5, and believe that God is able to help you. Now, the fact here, I looked it up, the sheep in South Australia are, are helping fight snake bites. And their blood is special because it can make antivenoms. After getting a small dose of snake venom, the sheep’s body works hard to beat it. It makes antibodies that can attack the venom. These antibodies are then collected from the sheep’s blood. Doctors use these antibodies to treat people bitten by snakes. They work fast and save lives. This is so good. Some people think sheep might be immune to snake venom, which helps them to create good antivenom. So what the scientists do, they inject the sheep with the venom from the poisonous snake, and they build it up. God does. God does this. They build it up in their system, and then it is extracted to help people that have been bitten by snakes. That is just amazing for me. That is such a praise the Lord. And in the Old Testament… The lamb held significant symbolic value to God and also to the people. It was closely associated with various sacrifices connected to themes of redemption, atonement, and deliverance. And as you heard yesterday, atonement means covering. Now, in the New Testament, we don’t have that word atonement. Now, some translations use that word, but atonement means to cover. And Jesus did away with it. Amen. The sacrifice of lambs in the Old Testament was a foreshadowing and symbolism pointing to Jesus as the ultimate sacrificial lamb who carried our sins in his body and did away with them. You don’t need to feel guilty or ashamed any longer, my friend. He was the only true lamb of God because his sacrifice provided eternal redemption and forgiveness for all who believe in him. You believe and receive and it’s done. Praise the Lord. He has made this so simple for his people, for you and for me, for those who are doubters. You can just turn around and say, Oh, Lord Jesus, I do believe that you are the son of God. And he will just come in. and invade your life. And it’s just such a blessing. We see the power of the blood of the lamb in the Passover. And several weeks ago, I gave you the symbolism of each item represented in the Passover. During this time, the Israelites were instructed to sacrifice a one-year-old spotless lamb and apply its blood to their doorposts. When the angel of death saw the blood of the Lamb, and I’m reading from Exodus here, on their doorposts, he would pass over their house, the angel of death, of destruction. He would pass over their house, and they would escape judgment and eventually eternal damnation. This is symbolic of our own salvation, because as Peter says in 1 Peter 1, 19, we have been redeemed with the precious unblemished and spotless blood of jesus the lamb of god because of his blood we too will escape god’s wrath and judgment so we rejoice today that’s what we can do we rejoice that jesus is our savior and our lord and if you don’t know him as your savior and lord as i said just a few minutes ago it is so easy to say Lord, I know I’m a sinner. I have not paid attention to you. I want to live for you now. I want you to be my Savior and my Lord right now. And in Jesus’ name, I say that I am born again. Hallelujah. That’s so wonderful. The lamb was also significant because when God established the law, he established a sacrificial system which required the offering of lambs as a means of atonement for sin. So the first thing was that you will escape judgment. But then again, the second thing was that atonement was for sin when the blood of the sacrifice of the lambs in the Old Testament was shed. The lambs served as substitutes bearing the guilt of the people in providing a temporary covering or atonement for their transgressions. The shedding of the lambs’ blood symbolized the cost that sin required. I can’t even begin to imagine the smell and thousands upon thousands of precious sheep. I don’t think I could stand it. I really don’t. We lived, when I was growing up at Pierce, on the farm. We lived right across from a sheep pasture. It was so fascinating because a goat led them every morning out of their little walled area everywhere. and into the pasture, there were about 1,000 to 1,500 sheep, and it was so interesting. I now thank God that I had an opportunity to see these sheep every day. The shedding of the blood symbolized the cost that sin required. For us, Christ represents our substitute for sin. He was the perfect lamb whose sacrifice was necessary to restore the broken relationship between God and all humanity. There was a big wall, W-A-L-L, between God and man because no one had come before. to remove that wall until that veil was split in two when Jesus died on the cross. And now we can go up to the very throne of God with confidence that he will hear us. Oh, I am so blessed. I am so blessed. He bore all our iniquities, even though he was sinless. And because he was judged, we aren’t judged. I don’t know how you feel about that, but for many years I watched as people judged me. I was on a platform from the time I was three years old singing, and in church first and then in all kinds of different venues, and I was always looking for the verdict from the crowd. I don’t know about you, but if you’ve ever been into some kind of a debate or singing or any kind of performance, you have people in front of you. They’re judging you, whether you’re good and they approve of you or whether they see something wrong. And it was really sad because that’s what I judged for most of my life. Did they find something wrong with my performance? What are they thinking about me? So I always tried to look good. Wow. that’s religion that’s a spirit of religion that’s tradition of man and i’m rid of that now i remember at state vocal contests when it was my time to go to the platform and present my number and this was in greeley at the university i stood there wondering what the score for my performance would be and that’s the flesh that carnality that follows us in life until we give our hearts and lives to jesus christ and one year my senior year I was the outstanding vocalist, and I sang to a crowd of people at the university. I was still in that view of myself of being judged, and I just wasn’t good enough, quite good enough. Here, they chose me as the number one vocalist. I mean, when do we get rid of that shame and that guilt? That fear of man, that’s what it is, fear of man. It’s when we accept Jesus Christ and begin to learn from Holy Spirit. Oh, the wonderful things that Jesus has for us. Oh, fall in love with Jesus. That’s the best thing. Oh, here’s Isaiah 53, 5 through 6. But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray. Yes, each of us have turned to our own way. And the Lord God has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53, 5 and 6. It was John the Baptist who confirmed that Jesus was the Messiah by crying out when he saw him. Do you know what he said? Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Oh, confirming that passage in Isaiah 53, 7. Like a lamb that is led to the slaughter and like a sheep that is silent before his shearers. So he did not open his mouth. He did not defend himself in any way. He is the perfect lamb of God. When Jesus had communion with his disciples the night before he was crucified, he said, this cup, which is poured out for you is the new covenant. What in my blood, in my blood. signifying that his blood was cleansing and a vital part of the new covenant. That’s why we can cleanse ourselves every day, especially when you go into a questionable situation in your life. Before you enter into that room, take a hand and cover your head and say, from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet, I cover myself with the blood of Jesus. Yes, you can do that. That’s what it is all about in the new covenant. There is one final thing to point to when you think of Jesus as the Lamb of God. Jesus is the worthy Lamb. Revelation goes on to tell us why he is worthy. The Lamb was slain and by his blood he purchased us for the Father. People from every tribe, nation, and language are all made to be priests to serve the living God. This only happens because of Jesus, the lamb of God, because Jesus is the lamb of God. There are two songs we will one day sing before his throne. I am so excited to do that. Oh, in Revelation 512, it says worthy is the lamb who was slain. Remember, worthy is the lamb who was slain to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise. And again, in that same chapter to him who sits on the throne and to the lamb, be praise and honor and glory and power forever and ever. And after a while, it’s just going to come flowing through you. And some of you might say, whoa, that sounds boring. Oh, no, it won’t be boring at all when you see Jesus and when you see our Father God. Jesus is no longer a slain lamb. He is now seated in the position of glory and honor. One day we will bow before the lamb in worship. because he is the Lamb of God for all eternity, because he bore the stripes that we should have had in his body on the cross. We will forever be reminded that our salvation was not because of anything we have done, but by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who is the Lamb of God. Just as he gave up everything for us, we should be willing to surrender our own desires and ambitions to fulfill the purpose he has for our lives. Let us pledge our allegiance to Jesus, the Lamb of God, because there is no one else who deserves it more than he does. When we do that, when we give him all the glory, We can truly become the people he has called us to be, bringing light and hope to a world that desperately needs it. And they overcame the enemy. This is Revelation 12, 11 by the blood of the lamb. If you looked up that and study it. Oh, this has been such a great study for me already. After I heard the story about the antibodies from sheep. I said, oh, God, I’ve got it. I’ve got to study this this weekend. And I just started studying it on Saturday. It was so beautiful. So they overcame the enemy by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony, their confession. And they didn’t value their own life even to the death because they were crucified with Christ. Galatians 220. What a wonderful thing to know that we have in Jesus Christ. an everlasting redemption and sanctification and righteousness because of him, because the wisdom that God has given to us. I want to read what was on my desk at the very beginning of this program. God has blessed you with the ability to achieve your goals, the courage to pursue your dreams, and the faith to believe in his promises. His promises for you are only yes, yes, yes. There’s no no. There’s no no for you in those promises. Well, it’s so good to know that we have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. And here are the people and songs.

Oh, amen. Amen. As John wrote in the last part of John, these have been written in this book. These words that we read every day have been written in this book that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name. That’s what it’s all about, folks. I’m falling more in love with Jesus every day. And we all, in Christ Jesus, live another day to tell him, Lord Jesus, I love you. Lord Jesus, thank you. I hope you do that. I hope you do that often in your day. Just get away from the grind and all the pressure. Lord Jesus, I love you. And when you’re in the pressure… Say, Lord Jesus, I love you. He’ll bring you out. He’ll bring you out triumphant. It’s been so good being with you today. I have learned so much more since even Sunday about the blood of the Lamb of God. And we look forward to saying, worthy is the lamb who was slain to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise oh i want to say that forever and ever and ever where there is no clocks on the wall there are no clocks on the watches on the on your wrist praise the lord we have no time limit then just to worship jesus god bless you and keep you and take joy
