Shalom, it’s a good day. Jesus is on the throne. We’re going to make it through this day. And today I want to share a scripture. You know, it’s really interesting. There’s the scriptures that you think are just, oh yeah, I know that scripture. I know what it means. But as we journey through this life, the Lord takes us to deeper levels of revelation on that scripture. And the one I’m bringing for today is from Isaiah 1. 40 verse eight, the grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our Lord of God stands forever, forever and ever. That’s the only thing that stands forever. You know, I went to sleep, every night I go to sleep And there’s so many things that we deal with throughout the day that a lot of times our minds can just be running in every direction. Well, that’s the way I feel a lot of times when I lay down at night. And so I just pray. I start reading scriptures. I actually have these little… headphones that’s like a headband headphones, and I play scriptures just in my head. There’s different apps or different YouTubes that I’ll play that will have the scriptures, and they’re just so peaceful. Those that make you rest in the Lord, knowing He is over all. No matter what happened in the day yesterday, or the day today, or the one that’s tomorrow, He is with me. And so that’s how I rest and I sleep. So I went to bed one night and I had everything resting in him, but lo and behold, we’re in the world, right? So we still dream dreams that don’t feel right. And I dreamt this dream that just felt awful. In the dream, there were people I administered to throughout my life, And they were not listening anymore to me. They didn’t want to have anything to do with me. And it just felt awful. And when I woke up, I always bring my dream to the Lord. And I said, what was that dream all about? And the Holy Spirit spoke so profoundly to me. It spoke to my heart, to my soul. And he said, when it’s all said and done, the only thing that will last is what you have deposited of myself into other people’s souls and hearts. The only thing that I have to give is the Lord and his spirit and his love and deposit it in other people’s hearts. He was telling me that I am not to expect anything to receive something from somebody else all the time throughout my life. We cannot lean into other people for what we need, for our love, for our support. We need to lean wholly into the Lord. He’s the only one we have all the way to our deathbed and on beyond that’s going to hold us up. and tell us truly who we are and the significance that we are. But it was so profound because he was teaching me, listen, for the rest of your life, be focused on sharing me. Be focused on giving my love and depositing it in my children. depositing it into my grandchildren, depositing it into other people’s hearts and souls like Rabbi and I are seeking to do through this ministry. And that is what lasts. Do you know all the people that work here at Discovering the Jewish Jesus, all of you that are partnering with Discovering the Jewish Jesus, all of you are a part of depositing the word of the Lord, the hope of the Lord, the love of God. in people’s hearts and souls. And that’s what will remain. Each and every one of us are like the grass and the flowers. They wither, they fade. And so will we. We will be marginalized. We will come to very little significance to others as we keep aging and going on. But the one thing we can hold on to is the word of the Lord. That is our hope. That is our joy. That is everything we live for. Hallelujah and amen.
